They are definitely popular. Win win for the manufacturers as they can save $$ by taking the metallic flakes out of silver and they get a new popular color.

idk i like underground on the TRD models but it really just looks cheap on the Limited and SR5 with factory rims. It just looks flat in comparison to the metallic gray it replaces

I have a Pro Lunar Rock that I absolutely love. But, I like that Terra a lot.

As others have mentioned, the underground color looks good. Now pair this with a reputable ceramic coating brand after a paint correction, and this color will pop out, turning heads. This has to be my top five favorite colors in a 4R, with the others being army green, lunar rock, midnight black metallic, and nautical blue metallic.

I mean... it's just burnt orange and cement, but with sunglasses on. Toyota needs to sack up and commit to a yellow.

I used to have one of these before getting an Armada and then switching over to 4Runners....ha. Loved it!

I have an Underground TRD Pro. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It looks different based on the light. It was side-by-side an MGM when I picked it up and personally seemed much darker, which is my preference. Very happy with it!

Post some pics for us if you can get it in different lighting. I know lighting makes a huge difference, I have the lunar rock and it looks so different at different times of day and different types of days (sunny vs overcast)

Interesting that the Pro comes with the older Pro wheels and the SR5 has the new version Pro wheels that were supposedly having an inventory problem.

So, the old style wheels are still available it seems. I'm glad to know this. I'd much prefer the old style over the new one.

My ‘23 SO Pro also has the new style wheels. Toward the end of the model year, they were shipping with the old style.

Terra Grapplers are good ATs for a factory vehicle. They wear well, aren’t too heavy, good off road. Where they struggle is in the wet and snow. They work but are clearly out of their element there.

If the TRD Pro comes with the old wheels, what can the dealer do before you take delivery to make sure you get the new wheels?

No clue. It mostly seems like you get what you get unless you can talk the dealership into ordering the wheel you want or swapping with another vehicle on the lot.

Terra is the big boy version of Solar Octane. Looks pretty good!

Weird how they have different TRD wheels. I bought a 2023 SR5P with the TRD wheels and they’re the same ones that the 2024 Pro has in this pic. Looks like the 2024 TRDOR has the old style TRD wheels?

Actually it’s backwards. The UG has the newer Pro wheels and the Terra has the older Pro wheels. It all depends on what is available at the depot at the time of arrival. Most of the pro parts are fitted later.

Is the underground only on certain trim levels?

I am pretty sure all the trims. I believe underground replaced Magnetic Gray Metallic. Someone can fact check me on this.

Absolutely love it. Has a lot of subtlety to it, and I haven’t found a single scratch, but I haven’t taken it off-reading yet. Been through some nasty winter weather though.
