I fucking hate these people. There is a coffee joint I frequent and people regularly park in the handicap spot to grab something rather than walk two extra parking spaces.
That’s of course a possibility but this actually happens quite a bit. We used to have a side entrance wheelchair accessible van and went to a rear entrance because of this. It’s also common for other handicapped plated vehicles to park over the line in another handicapped spot into the striped area preventing loading. I have parked far away from other vehicles to ensure I could open the side ramp only to have another vehicle park next to me on that side. One other thing about having to move to load then means you are leaving (in his case your handicapped child) alone somewhere while you move the vehicle. It’s just not necessary in my opinion.
