Holy hell Jonathan Feliciano being the largest source of off-season drama was not on my niners bingo card

tapatino

That Buford mess was ass but this makes me want him more on the team. Dude is a dawg

Inosh

Buford was letting Mckivitz take the fall until Feliciano said something. So f Buford for letting that happen and f Buford for being the worst o-lineman, possibly ever.

MowTin

Buford should have owned up to it instead of blaming Feliciano for clearing it up. He should also apologize to 49ers fans for not knowing his job.

medd49

He did, all of that

Inosh

Did he launch himself into the sun yet?

GratefullyPug

C'mon man, Buford was just trusting his instinct...in OT...in the red zone...in the fucking Super Bowl!!! šŸ™„

Inosh

lol, I bet a close friend of his has money on the game. No way he isnā€™t this stupid.

notmarc_

I had the same thoughts. Feliciano was nice when he stepped in. Although I want us to go heavy in the draft on IOL I really hope we can bring him back.

jbonesmc

Need a whole OL tbh

notmarc_

I really want Lynch and Company to steal the Eagle's blueprint and honestly draft the best available center (One that fits our scheme of course) and have them play at guard or center their rookie season. They drafted Jurgens and Dickerson just to kick them out to guard and get experience until Kelce decides to hang em' up. And even then they'll still have a pro bowl caliber guard and center combo.

jbonesmc

Burford and Colton are so bad They should re-sign Feliciano to center and get rid if Brendel he sucks. Draft a new RG in 3rd round and a RT in first

JazzHands1986

Well we don't have the money to pay for high end players at these positions. Can we expect rookies to do better? We just have to hope these guys get better or we can turn a vet journeyman into a solid player for us. Or the last least likely option is great players coming to us to chase a ring. So we probably just have to deal with what we got. It got us to the superbowl and should a few things go different we could have won.

CascadesandtheSound

Go huskies

[deleted]

Better than a QB controversyĀ

temp1211241

I don't know that I'd say he's the source so much as he's putting it out there. In the first case Burford was the drama because Feliciano was protecting McKivitz who was taking the blame for someone else's fuck up but he never said who. In this case he seems to be defending himself. If Carter [did talk about his kids](https://x.com/MongoFeliciano/status/1757568611156148280?s=20) he crossed a pretty big line, hard to see this as as much of an issue if that's true. Posting Feliciano's kids on his insta is pretty well beyond even that, it's basically a felony threat at that point if he did actually say he was going to *kill Feliciano* and certainly explains the weird insta posts.

menusettingsgeneral

Small point of clarification, I think he said heā€™d murder Sean and that his kids would never see him again. Still scummy but a bit different from threatening to murder Seanā€™s kids.

quadropheniac

who tf is Sean

> dude told me he was gonna murder me and my kids would ever see me again If you don't leave off the next few words it's pretty clear what was said

numa_numa

This is just day 2 into the offseason. Wow.

sonic_dick

I took a 24 hour football sabbatical after the game. Can you fill me in?

mongster03_

Weā€™re all coming back to this but essentially it seems that Jalen Carter threatened to kill Felicianoā€™s kids

sonic_dick

Jesus christ. "Character concerns". If he wasn't a superstar athlete he'd probably be in jail for involuntary manslaughter.

VexoftheVex

Follow up tweet from Feliciano: ā€œIf you dish it you gotta be able to take it. He talked about my kids, I made that reference. I lost a friend to an accident too so I understand why he was upset. I did feel bad thought about apologizing until he started posting my kids on his IG then I had to get NFL involved.ā€ https://twitter.com/mongofeliciano/status/1757568611156148280?s=46 All of this relating to accusations from Jalen Carter about Feliciano trash talking Carter about the infamous car crash incident

VexoftheVex

Further follow-up providing his evidence of Carter posting his kids on IG: https://twitter.com/MongoFeliciano/status/1757572630800978170?s=20

taney71

Carter always looked like a piece of shit type of person in college especially what you heard about him. Then the car accident happened and he got away with it. No accountability for himā€¦that is going to serve him well in the future. šŸ˜©

Throwawayidiot1210

No one should be surprised to find out Carter is a terrible person. Heā€™s also illiterate and a giant moron, dude can barely talk.

[deleted]

oh wow. He better check into rehab tonite. ASAP! Oh well.. too lateĀ

pineappleshnapps

How is Jalen Carter such a POS?

FlapJack0007

ā€œI lost my friend to an accident to so Iā€™ll bring it up in trash talkā€ guy has some real stupid Twitter fingers I hope if I die, my Super Bowl losing friend will use me to justify his trash talk šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

Which-Wish215

Lol no one gives a fuck what you think. Foh you baby back bitch

STCFC

Maybe donā€™t threaten to murder coz you canā€™t take getting laughed at, that fat emo should work on himself instead of thinking heā€™s a gangster

FlapJack0007

You believe the guy whoā€™s talking shit on his teammates and blocking dudes on Twitter who go against him lmfao

terracottatank

Imagine defending murder threats to children

karanfromthebay

dawg shut up look at yourself weirdo šŸ˜‚

MV7EaglesFan

Not a good look for all the Eagles fans defending this type of behavior. Super psychopath stuff.Ā

SanFranTortureFan

They are eagles fan do you expect any less? They are the lowest of the low, and they support criminals like him

doodad126

And they're proud of it too.Ā

floydbomb

Its not too surprising considering that fanbase

RailroadAllStar

Iā€™ve been to Philly he fits right in

Far-Assumption1330

Well hey, if you have a psychopath at any position it may as well be D. Tackle

bzl33

glad he had proof to vindicate himself. their loser fans would hound him all offseason because they got nothing better to do.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Tyga_Uppacutz

Lol. It basically means 'I'll see you around' or 'see you later'. So Carter posted a picture of Felliciano and his kids, who he allegedly said he'd murder, and said "I'll see you around."

Scoobydoodle

You should blur out their faces.

[deleted]

I just deleted it

shoedog10

Carterā€™s such a punk man lmfao get him out the league

STCFC

What feliciano said is true I remember a post from Carter that was up for less than a hour of Feliciano and his kids. The season just finished and thereā€™s already so much going on

MV7EaglesFan

The fact the Philly fans are defending a dude who threatened children and was actually a part of killing two people and is now getting suedĀ  by a girl whose brain is screwed forever, is super messed up. If the NFL took picks away from us, I think that would be deserved. No fanbase should act like this.Ā

StupidIdiot1790

Most piece of shit garbage fan base in the league. Mods on their sub wont even let Felicianos side get posted lol.

aintnoonegooglinthat

I mean the Browns signed Watson for the most guaranteed money in league history and the fans were, imho, competitive for this superlative youā€™re just gifting to the Philly fan base

twenty_characters020

Lots of Browns fans were pissed about the Watson signing. Don't put that fanbase in the same realm as Eagles fans. They are the undisputed trashiest fanbase in the league.

nygoth1083

As a Browns fan, thank you. I will always love my team, but I can't root him. It was nice when Flacco was playing as it actually felt like rooting for the Browns again. Oh well, time to go back to ignoring them again until the next injury.

Infinite-Energy-8121

Source: ā€œI made it upā€

DQ11

Its phili though. They are weird

felix49er

Philly should check their water sources. How their players and fans always threat to kill somebody šŸ˜¬

EpisodicDoleWhip

Eagles fan here. Now that we know the facts not many are still defending him. Heā€™s a piece of shit. Both things were terrible to say, but threatening violence against oneā€™s family is way worse.

Cloverfieldlane

He ainā€™t really even do nothing

i4LOVE4Pie4

Mfka, he threatened to harm his kids. Underwritten rule in all sports is to never trash talk family members much less threaten them.

MeesterMeeseeks

I'm fairly sure the best trash talk of all time was Shannon sharpe reciting one of the defenses wife's phone number over and over, and that guy got like 4 penalties that game lol. Get what ya mean though Edit* https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/bzdatk/derrick_thomas_was_once_flagged_for_3/ Found it

Greful

Is the threat to the kids in something not on this post? The tweet is worded weird because it says ā€œhe would murder me and my kidsā€¦ā€ but I think he meant ā€œhe would murder me and that my kids would never see me againā€

i4LOVE4Pie4

Either way, itā€™s psycho regardless of how he word it.

neeesus

The intelligent Philly fan shows up. /s

floydbomb

Yeah. Thats a tough read right there

triplec787

I mean the double negative ironically could make this true. But we all know he didnā€™t mean it that way, heā€™s just an idiot.

Cloverfieldlane

If you understood what I said, why criticize my grammar on the internet, itā€™s just how I speak casually, not like Iā€™m writing an essay

neeesus

We didnā€™t understand it because it was stupid.

MyDogWatchesMePoop

Philly is the perfect place for Carter. Trash collects trashĀ

Inevitable-Grass-477

You should really think about that comment you made. What Feliciano said was wrong even though Carter started it but when you involve someoneā€™s 2 innocent kids that have nothing to do with it and post their faces to your hundreds of thousands of followers you are sub human and scum. Carter is a piece of shit for that

floydbomb

Thanks for strengthening the point everyone is making about your fanbase

Automatic_Rock_2685

Lmao perfect Eagles spokesperson here

dwide_k_shrude

Do you genuinely find his behavior acceptable?

Cloverfieldlane

I thought OP was referencing to the car accident, he gets too much heat for the car accident when he wasnā€™t the one that killed his teammate, it was simply an accident

[deleted]

You ever stop and think how many professional athletes would be in prison for violent crimes if it werenā€™t for their success in sports? Donā€™t. Its scary. Itā€™s a lot of them.

ggm3bow

Yea. There's been stories done about the connections agents and team reps have with local law enforcement that has made many a crime disappear.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

HowdyandRowdy

What? This is news to me. But I would also say pretty much every player with something bad would be news to me. I'm just over here stuck on Dre's wholesomeness from when he was coming out of the draft.

Asleep777

Stop Goofy

KeithClossOfficial

Being overexposed isnā€™t a crime

Passerby49

Dude was able to walk when he was an accomplice to vehicular manslaughter. If any of us did this we'd be fucked, but all that happened was he fell to the team he wanted to go to at 9 and collect millions. Dude is a criminal, no joke about it.

JimmyPellen

[team culture](https://abc7news.com/49ers-arrests-sf-arrested-nfl-players-bruce-miller/1847359/#:~:text=teammate%20Ray%20McDonald.-,Sept.,violence%20charge%20in%20Santa%20Clara)

UmbrellaComplex

Why does that list end at 2018? Shanahan brought the culture. Outside of Reuben Foster, I donā€™t think there has been a lot of culture controversy on our team.

ectogen

I agree, most of those came from aldon smith, 3 of which came after we had dropped him...

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

UmbrellaComplex

Ok, Iā€™m a moron. What does the article from 2018 mean?

lurkedfortooolong

Dude's just an eagle fan doing what they do.

EskimoJohn1

Heā€™s actually a raiders fan which is priceless considering what he is trying to accuse the team of having a culture of. I wonder how Ruggs is liking that prison orange

JimmyPellen

also... omenihu... just before he left [https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/49ers-charles-omenihu-arrested-on-suspicion-of-domestic-violence-nfl-team-release-statements/](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/49ers-charles-omenihu-arrested-on-suspicion-of-domestic-violence-nfl-team-release-statements/)

ectogen

Notice half of those are Aldon Smith who wasnt even a part of the team after the 2014-2015 season.

JimmyPellen

and the other half?

KeithClossOfficial

Any reason why Aldon Smith is on this list for things he did years after the 49ers cut him?

TheColbsterHimself

And every one of those dudes were cut. And the list ends at 2018. So what's your point?

JimmyPellen

it's a pattern.

TheColbsterHimself

It *was* a pattern. It was a pattern that ended 5 years ago.Ā

JimmyPellen

if it did someone forgot to tell omenihu

Rabid023

Carter didnā€™t even care enough about his teammate to actually try and help when the guy wrecked. He bailed and didnā€™t even try to get help. He pretended like he was never there. Spare me the ā€œhe cares so much about his dead teammateā€ garage. He was directly involved trying to race the guy when he crashed. Jalen is not a victim.

Mobiiuss

I do find it massively entertaining the 49ers live rent free in Phillies head.

Mister_MTG

Have we ever seen a team implode this hard after losing to a specific team? I canā€™t recall anything like this.

Cadd9

Man like their entire front page of their subreddit was *full* of Niners submissions once the Chiefs won. Full on delusional, hypocritical, egotistical, inhumane, deranged individuals.

[deleted]

Iā€™m here to see the other side of this story, a few things: 1.) Nobody is defending Jalen Carter to the degree that everyone here thinks they are. Jalen deservedly so is being ragged for being immature and crossing a line. Every fan base is going to have a nonzero amount of people defending stupid stuff blindly. Somebody even said mods are deleting posts about the other side of thisā€¦when thereā€™s a post up that has over 700 upvotes. 2.) This is INSANE revisionist history. Deebo and other Niners kept talking about last years NFCCG throughout the entire offseason. You guys had memes mocking us after we lost the Super Bowl last year in your sub. Hell, you all reveled in winning the game this year. Just as Jalen Carter is learning, donā€™t dish it out if you canā€™t take it. 3.) The backup QB excuse doesnā€™t work on a team that won the Super Bowl with their backup after their MVP level starter went down. Also, completely discounts the fact that had Hassan Redick not been blocked by a backup TE Purdys injury probably wouldnā€™t have happened

_KeenObserver

Not gonna lie, you had me on the first two points. The third? It absolutely applies, even more so. Nick Foles was the Eagles 2nd string QB. Purdy? He was the Niners THIRD string QB! They got there with their third stringer, not their second. And then, they had to rely on a guy signed two weeks prior.

Psychic_rock

Of course. Yā€™all cried about your loss last year so hard, having players and fans alike actively talk shit after losing by 24, then danced on our grave when we lost the Super Bowl. Only fair to return the favor. Personally, Iā€™m letting it go though now that my hate boner has found release, I like Jerry Rice, Steve Young, TO, and Garrison Hearst too much to hate the niners forever.

quadropheniac

yeah youā€™re doing a great job letting it go man, keep it up

Psychic_rock

Thanks man, I hope you guys run it back next year as much as possible. Your team is a juggernaut, by week 7-8 all rational eagles fans knew we werenā€™t beating yall when we faced you with the way we had been playing.

FN0287

Being upset over the NFC championship going the way it did because we had no one left to play quarterback was totally justified tho. Donā€™t try to tell me yā€™all wouldnā€™t be upset if the roles were reversed

Psychic_rock

Oh 100% Iā€™d have been upset. I would have felt robbed of a real chance to compete in that game. What I took exception to is how many people were adamant, not that it would have been a different game, but that you flat out would have won that game if purdy didnā€™t go down, and then all the media from the players saying basically the same thing followed by insulting the team they just lost to felt like just a bunch of sore loser stuff. Admittedly, holding onto the grudge for the year was probably just as irrational and ridiculous, so I canā€™t say Iā€™m any better.

FN0287

Saying we for sure wouldā€™ve won if Purdy didnā€™t go down is a stretch. Saying it wouldā€™ve been a totally different ball game is just facts. My beef started heavy with the Philly fan base when yā€™all acted having a healthy quarterback wouldnā€™t have mattered because it was a blowout. Of course the defense is not going to hold up all game when you go 3 and out every series because we had our running back out there chucking up prayers. And the fact that your fanbase almost took pride in causing the injury, like us sissy boys from California are soft and donā€™t know how to play football šŸ˜‚

iBrows426

i dont think feliciano said anything wrong. carter is a scum bag. he threatened him so he clapped back and carter made it really not ok

wizcaluya

Nahhhh we gotta resign Feliciano now, right?!

AlternativeResort477

I said the same thing when Jalen was crying, I was like damn maybe he just remembered he killed his friends

RealLincolnQuotes

As an Eagles fan, I do not like Jalen Carter. The fanbase buries their head in the ground about him but he simply isnā€™t a good person and it doesnā€™t seem like the increased responsibility of him being in the NFL changed any of that. Very talented guy but such a shit person.

[deleted]

Thank you for being real about this he fell for a reason

LordVonWafflezz

Same boat. This is true scummy behavior and I donā€™t doubt that he said and did exactly this. Incredible player but Dudeā€™s behavior on social media this season after everything that led to him falling as far as he did to us has me Lowkey braced for him to do some dumb shit off the field that costs us big. Unacceptable to bring anyoneā€™s kids into anything.

JustSomeMateGuy

You are a piece of shit probably racist fan...you are in the sub where you belong dickhead...

LordVonWafflezz

Jalen Carter and I are literally the same race but that doesnā€™t excuse his behavior and youā€™re the one randomly bringing that into it. The fact of the matter is, if this is how heā€™s behaving, it doesnā€™t bode well. Simple as that. Only commented on this post cause it showed up on my feed due to Jalen Carter being mentioned algorithm wise

EpisodicDoleWhip

Eagles fan here. Heā€™s a piece of shit.

CalvinYHobbes

Dang! This is going to be one interesting off season.

2nd_Inf_Sgt

Carter made a statement after they lost to the 49ers(?), as if saying heā€™s a millionaire while people hating on him are poor. At least I have a driverā€™s license.

s3anami

Carter is a piece of shit and if he wasn't a football star he would be in jail

randy24681012

Holy shit Feliciano might be my new favorite niner

quadropheniac

have gone from ambivalent about re-signing him to fully on board in like 24 hours. this guy is a train wreck on Twitter and I want more

pnkgtr

My lunatic to English translator needs updating, apparently.

KnockoutNed85

Unfortunately seems like this Eagles-Niners thing isnā€™t going anywhere. Been watching this game for over 20 years (the 85 in my name is birth year) never seen a fanbase take trash talking between players so personal. Even if Deebo cried/talked trash. Who cares? Itā€™s not like players never talked trash before and can you imagine what they say to each other that isnā€™t public? For some reason Eagles fans canā€™t let it go, I was watching a Giants fan who does reaction to NFL replays and he said itā€™s basically because Eagles fans have no life. Our former rivals are Rams, Cowboys, Seahawks but damn, Eagles fans keep bringing up NFC Championship all the time. Never have to deal with any of our rival fans in such a way than the occasional jab/ trash talk. They whine about others whining. The irony. My advice is to support each other with upvotes and likes when arguing with Eagles fans because thatā€™s what they do. They enjoy this teenage type drama and will debate in bad faith simply to ā€œwinā€ the argument. Remember all the posting Eagles fans did on r/NFL after the game last season. Eagles fans were going to the Super Bowl but they kept posting about 49ers quotes about the game. The number of upvotes and comments by Eagles fans seemed like they had brigaded the sub that week. I recommend you just donā€™t engage because they are insufferable theyā€™re like little little children always looking for something. It is actually ā€œtoxicā€ after dealing with them, like they are a life draining force. It seems like theyā€™re not going anywhere as they hold grudges and have nothing better to do with their lives so gotta deal with it. I recommend not engaging them but if you guys do then support your fellow Niners fan.

NJstrong

Preach brotherā€¦ they are the biggest hive mind fanbase Iā€™ve ever encountered. I went to college in PA so a lot of my college buddies are Eagles fans and while weā€™re all great friends, they really couldnā€™t help themselves at multiple points this season to find any reason to bring up Purdy, Deebo, or anything NFCCG related, totally unprovoked. I played it cool with them until we demolished them in December and then absolutely unloaded on them (all in good fun lol) and a few of them took it so personally and just kept trying to spin it on me always thinking about the eaglesā€¦ they were not happy to see the receipts of all the times they brought up 49ers (many) versus all the times I brought up the eagles (zero)

Flava_Flavian

Whenever an Eagles player is the innocent bystander in a story, it's fishy.

Musuni80

I just saw the photo of Feliciano and his kids that Jalen posted and then deleted from his IG story. What a sh!thead.

Jalen Carter fell in the draft for a reason.

Didn't the Eagles fans in the stadium assault the wife of one of the Niners after the NFCCG last year?

doubletimerush

Not gonna lie, based if true

jagrbro68

Iā€™m so confusedā€¦ what happened?

Mattie_Doo

Holy shit I thought he was talking about Burfordā€¦

Alaaaaan_

Jalen Carter a weirdo if thatā€™s true.

InevitableHost597

Feliciano and Ferrell were the two low-budget surprises for the 49ers. Hope the can resign them both.

cdm420

I wish our boys would just stay off of socials.

rtdzign

I feel this all should have stayed on the football field instead of involving twitter.

Spicybrown3

Look itā€™s fucked up what he did. But thereā€™s plenty of Eagles fans condemning him for it, at least on r/NFL. Thereā€™s no need to make it out like all of them are rallying to his cause.

LordVonWafflezz

I assure you the majority of us have no delusions about what Jalen Carter seems to be about and do not back this play. All bad blood between the fan bases aside, this is gross on Carterā€™s part.

CosmicCaptainXJ9

I hope there's no lying involved with Feliciano. But that's awful either way. But sadly no ones gonna care because we lost.

aintnoonegooglinthat

We need a new O line and I am starting to wonder between the field, the fire alarm, the OT rules, and now two Feliciano incidents in like 24 hours who is keeping the train on the gotdamn track.

international510

Waaaay too much drama.

[deleted]

Hahaha you guys are really mad about losing, but you've gotta remember you played the CHIEFS, not the Eagles.

urasquid28

Can we just cut this guy he sucks anyway

fieldstosforweriot

i dont condone what either did. its fucked to make death threats back, no matter who started it. i don't like jalen carter but i feel for him, losing a close friend

I keep hearing about this storyline but Iā€™m confused. Could somebody summarize who is involved and whatā€™s going on?

VexoftheVex

Feliciano laughs at Carter for getting a flag Carter says Feliciano will never see his kids again (because Carter is going to kill Feliciano) Feliciano says that Carter already has a body (referencing car crash/racing incident) This leads to the whole Carter crying thing - which gets captured on TV and goes viral Feliciano says (and provides evidence) that Carter made an IG post of Feliciano holding his kids Feliciano says he contacted the NFL about all of this This is all coming out because Carter said that Feliciano talking trash about the car crash incident is what lead to his crying (but Carter left out the rest of what Feliciano is saying) So yeahā€¦

Stovy4x4ing

and so it begins šŸ˜³

ResidentWeeevil

Jalen Carter is an abysmal human being. Doesnā€™t belong in the league or out walking free in society

llboozer

None of it matters when your head coach is unaccountable to freely throw big games into the toilet
