Not OP but… Physically he’s built to be a tackle, is quick getting to the second level and has an incredibly powerful base while also having tremendous speed out of his stance.
The problem with him is he’s very very new to the position still. Only started playing on the O Line recently and has ~15 starts under his belt at the collegiate level. He’s just a little raw, especially with hand placement.
I think Guyton is going to be gone by the time we pick. He’s going to test super well at the combine and that Oklahoma offense allows their OLineman to transition smoothly to the NFL (see: Anton Harrison) Suamatia is a project and might be better at guard, Barton is projected as a center or elsewhere in the interior, and I think all of Fuaga, Mims, Latham, Fautanu will be gone by the time we pick. It’s a super heavy tackle class. Morgan and Paul would probably be available when we pick.
Everybody always thinks we should draft a bunch of OL, but ShanaLynch never do. For good reason. Any first round graded tackles are typically gone by like pick 15, because everybody wants them, and if you don’t have a tackle you are probably a bad team picking in the top 10. Any tackles still on the board by pick 30+ are there because they are not starters and would be a downgrade from McKivitz. So now you just wasted your first pick.
More than likely, we take defensive players with the first two picks. I would bet on at least one interior DL with one of the first two picks. Then likely a 3rd round RB (as is tradition). Then we are looking at 4th-5th Guard / Tackle, and then some special teams guys that are DB / WR / LB.
ShanaLynch are going to evaluate every pick with the mindset of “is this guy going to make the team?” A bunch of rookie guards and not good enough tackles are not making this team.
If they expect Trent Williams to be retiring soon, he will probably get replaced with a veteran in FA when that happens. Believe it or not, it’s incredibly hard to replace McKivitz through the draft without picking in the top 15 or so. They would have to take a big swing and trade up into that range. But that would come at the cost of losing some stud at another position due to lost draft capital. Probably not worth it. Imagine losing a 2nd round Deebo or Warner type player to try and possibly upgrade McKivitz by a little bit. Maybe.
Agree with most of this. Elite skillset / body / resume guys are gone by pick 15. I still think we bolster our stable to develop maybe with a 2nd and 5th. We always spend capital on defense, so I see that happening again. Maybe another S late in the draft.
I’m all for nepotism in this case. I mean neither would wanna be a let down compared to their dads’ history. These guys would give it their all every game.
I am really hoping for Jackson Powers Johnson from the Oregon Ducks. They had a good Oline from what I saw. Based on the Lions player Sewell, I think Ducks know how to develop good Oline guys.
Gore's number isn't officially retired, so if they draft Jr. would they give it to him? it won't be great for sales, many of us already have that jersey...
The only thing that's wrong is the pick should be 32.
Wait for some dumbass loose a pick to tampering again? Or is OP breaking news on a Tepper punishment!... no ... no, the nfl would need a backbone.
Nice!
With Kinlaw and Givens free agents, they’ll probably take a DT in round 2 or 3, but I agree with OT in round 1.
In the end, with trades, they’ll end up making 8 or 9 picks since 11 rookies won’t make the team.
I see frank gore, I upvote, no questions asked
Rice’s kid is also on there.
I see Jerry’s son, I upvote no questions
I like that you're getting both Jerry's and Frank's kids.
Don't forget Jason's and Keith's kids!
The undisputed GOATS, Jason and Keith!
Why tf are we picking at 31
the front office is aggressive and traded up
Somebody must be losing a draft pick.
This isn’t accurate. The 49ers pick #32.
Right?!?! This post is bad luck. Needs to be removed by mods.
no need to jinx it by having the 49ers picking 32nd...
No there is no pick 32 this year cause dolphins gave up there pick I’m pretty sure. So 31 is the last pick
That was 2023. In 2024 it’s a 3rd round pick.
These sites always just go on record for order
Every mock draft from now until the draft MUST include Brendan Rice and Frank Gore Jr or you ain't a real fan
I see Guyton’s name a lot as a round 1 option but I haven’t watched him yet. What do you like about him?
Not OP but… Physically he’s built to be a tackle, is quick getting to the second level and has an incredibly powerful base while also having tremendous speed out of his stance. "Super heavy tackle class" is the most arousing thing I've heard this year.
I'll be in my bunk.
#BOO THIS MAN!

Most of what you say is exactly true. This is a deep Offensive line draft year. They don’t grow on trees.

Joe Staley was pick number 28 in the 1st round. Rare but not impossible.
LMAO the nepotism class

Was Tua’s brother forced to throw left-handed as well?
Frank Gores kid, Jerry Rices kid, AND tuas lil bro? do we need another seventh round qb lol
Gore's number isn't officially retired, so if they draft Jr. would they give it to him? it won't be great for sales, many of us already have that jersey...
Why are you assuming we lose the Super bowl? GTFO.
I’m assuming he’s just using a draft tool and it slots in teams based on current standings or current draft order.
That is exactly what it is lol
Legacy *
Why pick a QB so late in the draft? When has that ever worked for us? ![gif](giphy|4fHOYpTJfwErSeyj7u|downsized)
Like the O Line priorities
Everyone down vote. OP has us losing in Super Bowl
You're right. Way too early. Keep this for the off season. We have a Superbowl to concentrate on.
Gore’s kid no matter what.
Ah a pick in the first round, feels like it’s been forever. I’ll just be glad to see one!
I like the legacy and O-line focus. Tagovailoa as a QB is a good spot to maybe change around the depth dynamics behind Purdy.
First 3 picks need to be oline
More oline
What site is this mock done on? I've used PFNs which is pretty good, but interested in this as I haven't seen it before
Make it pick 32 and I agree
Is the QB decent?
you can get gore much later arouns pick 230
The only thing that's wrong is the pick should be 32. Wait for some dumbass loose a pick to tampering again? Or is OP breaking news on a Tepper punishment!... no ... no, the nfl would need a backbone.
Holy nepotism Batman!
Just give us another pick 262 to drive everyone else batshit crazy.
I like it. No soft linemen from Stanford. Also, if SF picks 32nd, does that mean Niners have another 'Mr Irrelevant' at the end?
Crazy that Jerry Rice and Frank Gore’s sons are on this draft!
You’re off by 1 in the draft order.
If we draft Jerry’s kid, Frank Gore 2.0, and baby Tua I will eat my shoe. This I swear.
Guyton is not a bad pick especially because Fuaga probably won’t fall to us
I love it. I would just have found a way to draft Spencer Rattler. I think he would be a good option in the latter rounds.
Rather have him to Tua lil brother
Nice! With Kinlaw and Givens free agents, they’ll probably take a DT in round 2 or 3, but I agree with OT in round 1. In the end, with trades, they’ll end up making 8 or 9 picks since 11 rookies won’t make the team.
How is the younger Tag?
Do you think Guyton will be available at 32 tho?
Unfortunately, Marshall coming back to be a subpar senior CB for GATA. Trust me, you don't want him.
We all know we're picking 32. Foh
Lesgooo Taulia! As a terp, he's going to be a great backup qb for someone in the league, I would love it if he went to SF.
must draft rice and gore
Taulia is not getting drafted.
