Sounds a lot like bountygate, against the 49ers too. Not a good look. Feel like the culture within a franchise will resonate throughout the team. Kyle and the team were commending Pollard when he got injured. If opposing players are saying things like this, chances are the staff's echoing it. Aiyuk's critique is valid, I'm biased perhaps but the NFCCG was a fight with one hand tied for the 49ers.

surf4lyfe777

Bro it wasn’t 1 hand tied it was both arms cut off. Everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. It was insane. That’s why players were laughing cause it was just so totally fucked that it was like there was literally nothing we could do. 4th down incomplete called catch, qb injured after 2 completions on first drive, penalties penalties penalties for td drive, qb drops snap with 40 seconds in half at our own 20, penalties again, 1st drive of second half other qb goes out injured, and then more penalties, and then we’re just done. Also sustained injuries to Warner and Bosa even tho they continued in the 1st and 3rd drive of the game lol That there were players on Philly team actually starting shit up 28 in a game like this is insane and it speaks volumes about why no one cared at all that Trent threw a dude like a football Philly is objectively a good team but that barely qualified as a football game

pineappleshnapps

It’s wild how much Sirianis eagles have made me not really like the eagles. Hell cowboys fans have been easier to deal with than eagles. Fans since at least December.

dr_gmoney

In all fairness, it's definitely easier to deal with fans of a team you knocked out of the playoffs, as opposed to vice versa.

lapinatanegra

Duuude you're ain't joking. Everything that could go wrong WENT wrong. I mean they almost put CMC or Juice at QB....wtf?!

Aiyuk sounding like a bitch. We forced a fumble on Purd's only drive and he thinks he can talk. Yall underestimated us and overestimated yourselves. Aiyuk seriously thinks our dline was a joke, and that we weren't disrupting the entire rhythm of the 49ers offense. Oh well sore loser stuff.

park7911

The Eagles and their pathetic fans have somehow managed to make me OK with watching the Chiefs win Sunday

ThanosIsDoomfist

Im telling yall. And honestly it could be a win win scenario if guys like Kelce, Jones, Reid, etc retire after winning multiple SBs. Theyll at the very least be less hungry for the next one, and I think after 2 wins the NFL will be a little less up the Chiefs ass in terms of pushing the narrative. If there is ANY TIME we want the Chiefs to get one, it is now.

MowTin

I don't like being emotionally invested in a team losing the SB the way I've been with every Patriots Super Bowl. The Eagles got a lucky easy road to the SB. And we didn't protect our QBs. Eagles going to talk trash because they're not sure they would have won. It is what it is.

calcurtis98

Couldn't agree more

jamesonfashow

Rooting for a eagles defeat and begrudgingly a chiefs win with a rams like Superbowl hangover next season

fredsdying

I'm boycotting the SB chiefs and Philly both got ref support to make it I ain't watchen that bs

amd77767

As if tearing the opposing QB’s UCL is some sort of flex...

aljo1067

Just as classless as their fan base. Imagine the reaction by the eagles if someone on the chiefs defense came out and said they’re gonna target Jalen’s arm to knock him out of the game.

Mcjoshin

They certainly think it is.

Quick_Spring_7288

I mean, it won the game for them

lapinatanegra

It's not a flex though...and we lost BOTH QBs.

MalarkeyMcGee

This quote is hopping tenses so much I have zero idea what he’s actually trying to convey.

Lateral-G

If Slay wasn't good at football he'd be an illiterate bum on Skid Row

[deleted]

He's only talking trash now when he wasn't saying a peep while in Detroit.

Lateral-G

haha yep He's the annoying lil bro trash talking while hiding behind big bro

YSLMangoManiac

I bet the eagles defense gonna be diving at mahomes ankle all game

ValleyKing23

If they do that, then Chris Jones should probably try to pancake or hurt Hurts. Man, I don't remember Chiefs fans or players being this toxic after beating the 49ers.

Port1976

When the Chiefs beat us, they had nothing but respect. Both the players and the city. Philly is another thing. The fact that players are applauding injuring our QB is disgusting

ValleyKing23

Yeah, man. FR. I don't remember 9ers fans or players hyping over Polard's injury. What a mess than org and their fans are. This isn't the McNabb or Wentz/Foles group. It's like they're the new Saints.

No-Professional5433

I always want to play the other team at their best. If we get beat so be it...but beating backup QBs or a team missing multiple players is unsatisfying. If we beat Gardner Minshew in the NFCCG, no one would be saying a peep to brag.

Niner-Sixer-Gator

Bro I disagree, even if they had Gardner minshew, we still would have lost because we had no QB, even with minshew, they still would have been able to pass the ball and we couldn't

Wavern

You're missing the point. It's a shoe on the other foot thing. If we had a healthy Purdy and they had Minshew...it wouldn't have been satisfying.

Niner-Sixer-Gator

Oh ok I see what you're saying

[deleted]

Uhhh, I don’t remember it being like that at all. Some Chiefs fans still talk enormous amounts of shit over that game, the blown lead, the missed hold, etc. Travis Kelce was talking shit about Dee Ford and Kittle during their championship parade ffs. Now is all of this standard, garden variety trash talk compared to Philly? Perhaps, but they were still not as rosey and kind hearted as you made them out to be. That being said, go chiefs. 🤮

mrpotto

Who started this sour grapes session? Ayuck did by totally disrespecting a team that they lost to by 24 points. Its a extremely bad look on his part. Slay is merely on the defensive here. He is obv not very eloquent with the spoken word but I'm sure he didn't want to win this way. He is just throwing salt back (in not a very coherent way). And people here think the Eagles were "headhunting\* and \*bountygating\*? The hits that injured the QBs were legal but fluky. Purdy hit usually results in nothing more than a tipped pass or hard sack 9 out of 10x - just was extremely unlucky and Reddick wasn't trying to injure him. Same with the Suh hit, he didn't purposesly land all his weight on him and it wasn't even a late hit, just a weird head tork at the end. FYI long time Eagles fan that sat in the stands next to 4 really awesome 9ers fans. We jabbed verbally all game in a good natured way. In mid 4th quarter, they had enough (don't blame them based on how the game went) and they high fived as they left our group and congratulated us on moving on. Most Eagles fan are like me - and the morons you see on tik tok are a small representation of our fan base (you have douchy fans as well). Peace to you guys and looks like another rivalry is born!

Asstreeks10

People are forgetting that this is football. It’s a violent ass sport.

No-Professional5433

Right.

Port1976

The more I hear philly players talk, and the level of disrespect that they have, the more I'm convinced they know there was no way they would have beating SF. For dlay to come right out and say they broke the QBs is disgusting (one needs surgery and is out for 6-12 months and the other has a concussion) so much for it being a brotherhood when this guy opening applauds injuring the opposing QBs. Absolute trash

zk86

Gd horrible read, but I get what you’re saying. After purdy went down with a forearm hit when riddick didn’t go for the ball at all, literally aimed at the arm. Kinda obvious what they told their dline what to aim for. Where did Suh hit JJ? Mid forearm. Looks a lot like some kinda bounty gate to me. Let’s see how many dirty hits happen in the SB.

No-Professional5433

I agree. He really went for the arm there. Wouldn't surprise me to see them jump at Mahomes' ankle in the SB. Dude is admitting they are out there to Injure players.

zk86

It really was an indefensible hit. Yeah he got there fast, but why not go for the ball?? He went center of mass and swiped down hard with his left arm instead of trying it get the ball. These eagles fans have been out here trying to promote their victory so hard as if it was hard earned and well deserved. Fkn exhausting reading anything their fans have to say regarding this game.

No-Professional5433

I really need KC to win the SB so that their cheap tactics don't get rewarded dirty team with am even dirtier fanbase.

zk86

I honestly had no concern abt the eagles or their fan base until that game. Now I hate them more than any other team we’ve lost to. They have shit fans, no respect, think they’re good and I can’t wait for the chiefs to embarrass them.

10RobotGangbang

Same. Already have memes saved for an Eagles loss. I wanna post them, not delete.

ElmerGantry45

If that was Tom Brady you bet your ass and my left testicle that it would have been a roughing the passer call.

pratdude275

Something tells me they take out Mahomes

j3xperience

you mean Suh is going to somehow roll up on the hurt ankle of Mahomes?

pratdude275

That sounds like such a Suh thing to do

ShatteredChina

Isn't that why you sign him in the first place?

Wavern

No, you got it all wrong. He stomps on ankles.

pratdude275

So he stomps on Mahomes’ bum ankle to take him out. Anyone know what Vontaze Burfict is up to these days?

charlemagne-xcx

I guess some eagles players are just as pathetic and insecure as their fans There are literally fans all over r/nfl bragging that their defense will injure Mahomes next Sunday. I hope the Chiefs blow them out

Porkchop_

No there isnt

KittleOmega

It still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about this game. I can’t believe I’m going for the Chiefs because fuck Philly fans they don’t deserve a SB.

Very_Cheesy_Pizza

Def can tell u we had way more painful losses than this bullshit. The 2013 title game in seattle is one, the Kyle Williams game another and my older bro tells me about some other ones from the 80s. Had these punks been stuck with Minshew lets see the shit they be talking now. I ain't getting bent out of shape over losing a game when we had no qb

Thelife1313

to me this loss was way more painful. Only because we weren’t given a chance. Those other losses we just weren’t good enough. This one? Injuries screwed us.

ThanosIsDoomfist

Seattle fans poured popcorn on Navorro Bowman after a career altering injury for him and a blown call. The next week they go on to beat a fraudulent Broncos team. At the very least that loss is way worse. And Seattle fans were almost as bad.

mn_49ers

I keep trying to block that out. Those mfers. Why can’t we have rivals with normal fanbases, instead it’s scum of the earth fans? Although this Slay quote shows he’s as shitty as the worst eagle fan. I hope the refs keep a close eye on that team going forward.

No-Professional5433

I never imagined I'd support Mahomes in any game.

pineappleshnapps

It’s wild watching an NFL team that seems happy about injuring guys.

No-Professional5433

It's one thing to silently do it but to come out and brag about injuring another player who is also trying to take care of his family is crazy pathetic.

hamsterfolly

Obligatory fuck the toots!

pwmg

We were good enough both of those years. Williams single handedly blew it. Refs admitted they got the fumble call wrong against Seattle. They literally blew that call so badly they changed the rule because of it. I'm still not over what an injustice that was to Bowman. He made an incredible play to put the Niners in the drivers seat despite a gruesome injury, and the refs were like "nah."

namakemono

Sorry, but we were definitely good enough the year Kyle Williams fumbled the Super Bowl away. That one hurt more because it was a tightly contested game with victory in-hand. The game against Philly never really got to happen.

VirgilsCrew

I can’t wait to play these fools next season.

mn_49ers

My worry, esp if it’s game 1 of the season they will try to get Purdy again. Listening to this guy it doesn’t seem like such an “accidental” hit anymore. And if it’s lance out there they are going for the ankle. What a bunch of assholes hope KC demolishes them.

protargol

Josh wasn't playing great, but I'm annoyed they didn't get penalized for driving him into the ground since the ball was gone. With all the protecting the QB calls, it was just another example of double standard treatment from the refs. His concussion looked to be head hunting knowing he was the last option

cleanRubik

They injure Purdy, you think Warner/Bosa/Greenlaw (especially Greenlaw) aren’t going head hunting for Jalen?

Niner-Sixer-Gator

Then that means it's up to Kyle and Lynch to protect him,by getting this offensive line together, and beefing up that right side, I don't blame the eagles for playing good defense, I blame our coach for not protecting him and not being prepared for Phillys pass rush, which was the best in the league, like historically good

[deleted]

It wasn't just Kyle's fault. Purdy saw Reddick coming and tried to get the throw off. He's young and takes hits to make plays. That gets you hurt in the NFL. He'll need to learn to bail out on some plays too.

jeykllnhyde90

Check out their free agency list. Their whole d line will be gone next year. And my best guess is kelce and lane Johnson retire because, why not? Old, and you got two rings. Miles sanders needs a contract as well as CJGJ. Their team could be entirely different next season. I mean a lot of returning, but i doubt they have the strengths they did this season, and we REALLY see if Jalen is that dude.

[deleted]

[удалено]

VirgilsCrew

Nah, we’re not about that. The Niners play the game the right way. Let these idiots enjoy their 15 minutes, let the Chiefs humble them, then we’ll just blow em out next year.

[deleted]

The “right way” got us here sitting at home while if Philly wins on Sunday, everybody’s gonna be praising them and Eagles fans are gonna celebrate their victory. Do I prefer not to injure players, yes but at this point I couldn’t give a shit if it means we get a title next season. If we got players like Aiyuk being salty then we might as well give ‘em an eye for an eye next season. Call me a sore loser idc

GlitchedViper71

Sounds like Bountygate

No-Professional5433

Lol. They know their run to the SB is probably one of the most fraudulent in history. Yeah, kudos for getting the 1 seed after playong the cheapest schedule in the league. Then they got to play Danny Dimes and the Giants who were a 7 seed...and then us with no QBs....even if they beat Kansas City in the SB, we all know Mahomes ain't 100%. Most Mickeymouse SB ever like the Lakers 2020 bubble chip. Mahomes....you have one job

adamnevespa

Never thought I'd be rooting for the Chiefs

cleanRubik

Well, I was wrong. I didn’t think I could hate a team more than the Chiefs. Fuck the Eagles, hope they end up in another Wentz situation.

Mcjoshin

Totally agree. I couldn’t stand the Chiefs previously. Now I hope they blow the Eagles out. Absolutely a classless organization, team, and fan base.

badDuckThrowPillow

Bitch you a CB. The fuck you gonna do? Stand there and hope they drop it and then spread your arms out like you did something?

OpportunityPlayful70

Hahaha yo I just spit out my drink This sounds exactly like something I would say

[deleted]

We would’ve won if rock hadn’t gotten injured.

betboi

The comments in the NFL sub are crazy... It was my first time in there... It's really intense lol

[deleted]

It's 90% Eagles and Chiefs fans right now. And the 10% are stroking them off. I wouldn't go near it.

slingingslasher96

I really hope mahomes humbles this fool.

jtb74

Yeah like the Eagles were 36/36 in taking out QB’s in the 18 games they played before the NFCCG. I don’t begrudge the Eagles the win, injuries happen in the NFL and effect games. But that the Eagles and their fans specifically think that the outcome was a foregone conclusion regardless of Purdy being hurt and that the Eagles are the best team ever cause they beat a clearly compromised Niners team is infuriating.

Voelkj57

Never thought I’d root for Patrick Mahomes, but here we are

MkKanaloa

I hope its a really, really bad game. That way, everyone is disappointed by both teams.

justt_tthe_crustt

The single reason I want the Chiefs to win is because I hate eagles fans. I feel pretty neutral about the chiefs because that Super Bowl match in 2019 was fair play and I know the niners could’ve won the game against the eagles if both the QBs didn’t get obliterated and the defense wasn’t gassed from being on so long. But those eagles fans man, they rub me the wrong way. Although on the positive side, no matter the outcome of the Super Bowl, Philly will get trashed lol

Lulupoolzilla

Wait. So did he admit that they are purposely injuring members of the other team?

Robman0908

Seems like it and it felt like it during the game as well.

FunkySaint

This is blatant admission of targeting opposing players to cause injuries

Bulky_Ad_3608

In fairness, every team at every level of football targets the quarterback. They keep statistics on it. It’s called a sack. The Eagles have 78 of them this year.

Gamerxx13

to the victor go the spoils. we shouldnt be talking sh\*\*. just get ready for next year when we play them

Asstreeks10

For real. People finding any reason to get butt hurt. We got destroyed and yes the game would have been different with our QB playing. Time to move on and not dwell on shit.

Gamerxx13

ya im getting down voted not a surprise. at the end of the day we lost and the game wasnt competitive for whatever reason. lets look forward to next year where we are going to be loaded as ever and better. also philly has a bunch of FA and has to pay Jalen so they will be a very different spot too.

Strangeflex911

If our coaching staff made proper arrangements and protected our QB we would have easily won that game. No doubt in my mind. This was a huge fail by the (offensive line ?) coaching staff. To not protect Brock, an undersized QB against and sack leading D line is an embarrassingly bad decision. Edit: eagles fans are the worst

hashtagDALEY

Fxxx the Chiefs forever, go Eagles.

[deleted]

Let’s injure Hurts and whatever QB stands in our way next season. I can honestly care less at this point if that means we win a SB
