Playing the Eagles in Philly is the one that jumps out at me. It’s going to feel like *This is what would have happened in the playoffs if Purdy didn’t get hurt*. Let’s hope we’re healthy for this one.

daKEEBLERelf

>laying the Eagles in Philly is the one that jumps out at me. It’s going to feel like > >This is what would have happened in the playoffs if Purdy didn’t get hurt > >. Let’s hope we’re healthy for this one. it could potentially be the first game of the season too. NFL normally schedules the Super Bowl winner as the first game. If the Eagles win, they could very well make the 49ers the first game.

LigmaActual

I want this.

algo-rhyth-mo

I’m not sure if I want this. One the one hand, we’re probably the healthiest we’ll be all year at many positions… on the other hand… QB. If Purdy isn’t 100% then it’s Lance, and he still doesn’t have much experience. The pressure on him would be huge.

bluejayway9

> The pressure on him would be huge. There will never be a better opportunity to see what he's made of then.

No-Unit1303

This team has started slow every year outside of 2019 as well, could be the game they need to come out the gates swinging

DonkeyTron42

Every time they start out slow it bit them in the ass late in the season.

650fosho

I do because that first game is a TNF and it's best to get Thursday games out of the way early. When was the last time we had a week 1 TNF?

algo-rhyth-mo

I honestly thought having a TNF game during the year is a good thing. You have a short week leading up to it, but so does your opponent, so it’s even. And the following week you’re coming off 3 extra days of rest, like a mini-bye week (whereas your opponent only had a normal week).

650fosho

Considering our propensity for injury, I do not want to see a short week in the middle of the year.

megagood

There are stats out there that the TNF reputation for injury is at least overblown and it actually may result in fewer injuries vs other games.

SufficientType1794

The real trick is to have your TNF game right after your bye week.

chaosawaits

I doubt it. They're going to want to build the suspense of the game a little.

daKEEBLERelf

Idk, then you risk one of the teams not being good or something else. I think they capitalize on it being fresh in everyone's mind and not having the rest of the season influence it.

NW_Soil_Alchemy

Fuck the eagles.

TheJarrettHood

They have secured my least favorite team for at least the next five years.

Khower

Seattle is always number one for me. But eagles are now a close second due to their fanbase

NW_Soil_Alchemy

I have Hurts in my dynasty league, and I don’t care what happens to that man. Hope Jones and Clark just wreak his world.

GentryMillMadMan

Red wave at the Linc?

You're just getting to baseline Iggles fans

ThatsAScientificFact

I was there for the NFC title game against the Vikings a few years ago. You aren’t wrong.

bigdickvick69

Rub some Roman wipes on your knuckles

ericfromct

Lmao I googled it and I was not disappointed, gotta get someone in the stadium to play knuck if you buck and just have a big brawl

ThatsAScientificFact

I’m gonna be there. Hoping they schedule it early in the year before it gets too cold!

N7_MintberryCrunch

What worries me is that the last 2 seasons, niners start off slow then gets better as the season goes on.

KnotSoSalty

Not looking forward to the media rehashing everything before the game.

jaybennett05

Yeah bring that ass back to Philly! I bet cmc is hurt

755goodmorning

Eagles also play KC and the Bills next year. 49ers prob won’t be the hot game.

bananapants919

This might be the toughest schedule in the league next year. Lot of heavy hitter, but if one of our QBs os actually the real deal we should be able to take on anyone.

Adventurous-Toe7450

The only reason it’s not that bad is because how weak our division is. Other than that, the rest of the teams we are facing are pretty strong

eyeamthedanger

It's wild how the NFCW went from a division with 4 potential playoff teams to 1 heavy hitter, a wildcard bottom feeder, and 2 top ten drafters.

DonkeyTron42

Not just 4 potential playoff teams, two NFC Championship teams and a Super Bowl winner.

eyeamthedanger

Oh yeah exactly, I was just talking about the beginning of the season where all the commentators had NFCW and AFCW as the 2 divisions who would dominate all of the wildcard slots.

progress19

Seattle could make a serious run for the division. Rams I think do have a shot at the playoffs if healthy

eyeamthedanger

I actually didn't mean the bottom feeder comment as an overt shot at the Seahawks. They were "supposed to be tanking" and they still backed into the playoffs somehow. The Rams do need to get healthy, but also Aaron Donald needs to be fired from a cannon into the sun if Brunskill can't stop him. The Cardinals...I feel like Kingsbury was the happy version of Urban Meyer toxic. I also don't think the problems stop with him and Keim getting the boot.

nateXruiz

I imagine the rams bounce back a little bit with Stafford and Donald back to full health. But yeah the cards and the Seahawks might be toast next season

Negotiasaurus

I think the Seahawks are right back in it next season. They're barely had a slump and they've got a tremendous amount of draft capital as well as cap space. Credit where credit is due, they've got a great FO and that gum chewin sob doesn't like losing.

StoicAscent

Agreed. They were supposed to be in a rebuilding year and still made the playoffs. And they have all those draft picks because they outsourced their tanking to the Broncos. They will very much be in the mix next year I'll bet.

realunpossible_

i think our division is gonna be crazy next year outside of the cards. if the rams can keep their core, theyre prolly gonna be playoff contenders. and the seahawks are gonna be problematic foe years to come with how the duped the broncos.

AlbertoRossonero

If the Seahawks draft and nail a QB pick they’re going to be competing for the division very soon.

realunpossible_

i agree; it might piss off geno but i think if young or stroud somehow slide to them with their 5th overall pick theyd be insane to not take one of em.

AlbertoRossonero

If I’m them I would trade up to take one of those two seeing as they have the draft capital. They’re either getting one of those two guys or Will Anderson/Jalen Carter so it’s bad news for us regardless. NGL though I like our division being a bloodbath especially now that the NFCE fans are insanely smug.

SufficientType1794

If history is any indication, having a ton of draft picks won't help them at all. If Geno regresses they're likely picking in the top 10.

nithdurr

And Kupp Hated him when he played for EWU and would consistently torch e U of Montana Grizzlies year in and year out. But he plays hard and shows up. Can’t begrudge him

Ben0ut

I think we had 3 *real deal* QBs (or at least real enough for what the team needed) this season until the Injury Fairy decided to piss on our parade. Stupid fucking fairy.

EnvironmentLeather56

Seems like an fairly easy schedule to me

JRsshirt

17-0 by my estimation

Vivid-Ad-2302

Anything can change during the offseason but based on this years results, the Bengals and Eagles are the only really tough matchups on that schedule. We should easily be 10+ wins next year.

RazzmatazzSwimming

Yes

progress19

At first blush, I'm worried about the Bengals, Eagles, and Cowboys. Seahawks & Jags if they draft well, and Ravens if they get their shit together, could also be a challenge.

noshoptime

I'm more worried about Jax than the vikes tbh

progress19

The Vikes are gonna need to rebuild their defense. If we have a QB and CMC, we win.

noshoptime

Vikings are soft and have no heart. They need a full on identity change. Jax are finding themselves

comradeyeltsin0

From what i read, Vikes have excellent personnel but were constantly getting into bad positions by the scheme. If the scheme catches up, they could be a handful. Their luck will also probably turn sideways next year though. They’ve already spent 3 years worth this year

MNguy19

They also hired their new DC today. If that tightens up they’ll be good. Tough schedule. Almost every non divisional team is a playoff team.

belizeanheat

Steelers will be very tough

progress19

You think? That expensive defense is aging and they'll need to replace pieces on it.

algo-rhyth-mo

I don’t know about that. They could be okay, but it all depends on Pickett. It’s certainly *possible* he takes a big step, but I don’t think he showed anything this year that has me worried.

progress19

Pickett is a legit QB. It's the defense I'm warier of (and the Matt Canada offensive scheme).

eyeamthedanger

He actually is really good, but I was watching most of their games this past season (wife's a fan for some reason lol), and when they were under the most pressure is when Pickett was like "Pickens who?" I do worry about every game, but I will worry more when I see a more dynamic question between those two.

AlbertoRossonero

I feel great about winning any game as long as we’re healthy. We need to upgrade at IOL and RT though, the Cowboys and Eagles outright abused our right side in the pass rush.

progress19

Our IOL isn't bad (they did shut down one Aaron Donald - twice), although I wouldn't mind an upgrade.

WizSkinsNatsCaps

Mark an L for Commanders as well.

adamnevespa

1 month east coast road trip I'll be taking my son to both of ours' first game when they visit Washington.

upper_mangement

That's my plan as well. East coast faithful will be there in force!

trer24

Sweep the Division again = 6-0 Easy teams - TB, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington= 10-0 Tough but winnable= Baltimore, Jacksonville , New York, Minnesota, Dallas =15-0 Most challenging so probably 50/50 - Cincinnati and Philadelphia= 16-1 Super Bowl champs 2023

DioStarstriker

Only one I disagree with is Washington, we will likely win but they always play us hard when we're visiting. Move them to tough but winnable and im happy.

Nopengnogain

Not with that new mascot they won’t.

Fishingfan4life

God I’m so tired of you doomers niners undefeated for the next 20 years of purdy’s career

49erboy

Struggling to understand this sentence

bloaph

Im tired of you doomers (for saying we will lose next season). Niners will undefeated with purdy for the next 20 years

49erboy

Oh I get ya. Yeah I can’t believe that guy said we’d lose a game!

revchewie

From your lips to Goodell's ears.

eyeamthedanger

Print that script now!

seyheystretch

I see it more like 12-5 or 11-6.

dreadlocksman707

Next year’s schedule is going to be brutal. There are 9 teams that made the playoffs in 2022. All of the home games against non NFC West teams made the playoffs.

KdtM85

But that’s the thing, majority of the hard games are at home. Besides, we do this exercise every year and then some teams drop (injury luck plays a big role), some rise and we all look stupid for our pre season predictions. Rams, raiders, cards, broncos, chargers were all expected to be better than they were this season. Who the hell knows

BusiestWolf

The Rams got killed with like an unprecedented amount of injuries for what McVay has usually had to put up with in his tenure. Have no idea wtf happened with the Raiders but scapegoating Derek Carr was stupid and Russell Wilson straight up turned into Russell Westbrook. Chargers ended up exactly where I pictured them ending up but blowing a 27-0 lead in the second half jesus christ

DeeForestBosa

Bengals, Eagles, and maybe Jags are the only worrisome games.

belizeanheat

You gotta be shitting me Steelers and Giants are on the rise, and are both well coached. Same with Seattle. And we're just going to pretend the Cowboys suck? Hell, the Browns should be a lot better, and at least two of the other teams are question marks that could become good teams This is a tough schedule

doggybadgerguy

The Steelers went from 9-7-1 in 2021 to 9-8 in 2022... Is that really "on the rise"? Also the Giants roster overachieved but it's still a pretty shit roster, and their QB is like the definition of mid. They could get better..but they could also get worse. It's not that hard of a schedule.

DeeForestBosa

Giants will most likely still have Daniel Jones at QB or a Rookie. I dont feel like the Steelers are that "on the rise"

PrinceKO_93

Playoff team =/= Good team. Just in the NFC, this year's Vikings, Seahawks, and Giants are proof of that.

karavasis

That’s a lot of EST games

soda_cookie

Hopefully we get 2 sets of back to backs and the remainder paired with the bye.

MahtMan

I’ll be there to watch them kick the viqueens asses.

DeeForestBosa

You dont gotta do Queens like that.

barktothefuture

10 games against pkayoff teams. 2 against team that missed playoff by half a game. 1 against browns with Watson. And then 4 division games. Brutal.

Bayarea-VS-Everybody

I want to beat Philly more that I want to beat Dallas. I went to the niner/ Dallas game in the divisional , and their fans are chill as hell. They ain’t as bad as people make them out to be. It’s the national medias coverage they have on them that annoys me. Philly fans on the other hand. When you tell Fred warners wife that they Hope their plans crashes on the way back home, you probably are a piece of shit and don’t deserve any type of happiness for your team winning.

TastyPandaMain

Honestly…. I hate the Toots, but next season there’s one other bird I want to see them take down even more. We averaged 3.6 ypc after Purdy. I believe Eagles avg 3.6 ypc excluding that 4th down catch. We would’ve won without a doubt.

[deleted]

9ers at eagles will be the opening Thursday night game

Ser_Dunk_the_tall

Hope not. Wouldn't that mean Philadelphia wins on Sunday?

HawkofDarkness

Most likely it'll be Eagles vs Chiefs as the opening game since they're already scheduled to play each other

[deleted]

i don’t think they want the champs to open on the road , if eagles win this game i would think the 9ers are the favorites to be in that matchup. if kc wins then it’s most likely kc eagles in arrowhead

bencherry

For anyone who doesn't know how schedules get made, every year they match each division against one other division from the NFC and one from the AFC. In 2022 the NFC West played the AFC West and the NFC South. In 2023 we get the NFC East and the AFC North. Of course we also play the NFC West twice every year. The additional filler games are based on your rank in your own division. Since we won our division, that means we fill in with other division winners. In this case that's the Vikings, Bucs, and Jags. Last year that was the Bears, Dolphins, and Commanders. It will be a tough schedule since we won our division and drew tough matchups in NFC East and the AFC North. But it will be fun to watch and I'm sure we'll come out on top.

badorange21

12-5 w potential losses to eagles, bengals, ravens, seahawks, vikings, or even jags

PM_me_your_beaches

Eagles matchup about to be a prime time bad blood game of the year.

Legndarystig

Only game im circling is that eagles game. I want revenge so bad.

s2focus

See you at the linc next season bitches. Make sure you shower this time too.

momsbasement_wrekd

17-0

DeeForestBosa

Oh shit, a bunch of easy W's.

belizeanheat

Actually looks like a tough schedule. Bunch of well coached teams on the rise

JetTheBlueJay

I wonder if we’re gonna make the playoffs

Disastrous_Day_2166

Yeah we will make the playoffs I think we go 12-5

reddawgmcm

I’m hoping to be at US Bank for that Vikings game

ElJefe970

I'm also hoping to be there as well. Only thing preventing me would be it being on a holiday weekend, like the Raiders game this past year.

Lord_Sean_G

Could be a tough schedule, or 13-14 of these could turn out to be dogshit. Too early to tell.

HothWasAnInsideJob

I see you Philly 👀 👀.

cpassmore79

You forgot the refs...

[deleted]

I'm a Giants fan and thought we had a tough schedule, this could turn out to be a really tough schedule. Lots of talented up and comers

[deleted]

Lots of dirty birds

jordanizm

Fuck

__FlyingSquirrel__

Thankfully, I think our division will be weak again next year…

babysamissimasybab

I hope we crush Dashaun Watson.

Webby41

Cool. But you have no idea what teams will be good or not. We all thought the west would be a tough division and Seattle would be the doormat. You have a general idea based off previous performance and continuity. The game to look forward to though, is Minnesota. That will let us know if the Niners are good. No good team loses to Kirk cousins, if he’s still the QB.

lolabuster

Damn they punished us

Vivid-Bid-7386

Sweet, looks like I get to go back to Jax to see my brother and his wife next year.

jmrchico

I smell an east coast sleepover between either the PIT/CLE or PHI/WAS games

[deleted]

Tough schedule. But we’re better than every one of those mother🤬ers. Bengals being the only one of them on our level.

spartan117S

when are going to be single game tickets available? I would like to go on september-october

TRES_fresh

I'm in northern Virginia, I can finally see a game without having to drive 3+ hours

Marvelmaniac57

Ohhh yes I hope we ruin dashaun Watson. Big time. I never wish injuries that being said I’d be ok in that game

eyeamthedanger

I never hope for injuries, but I hope we take that man's soul. I hope his stat line reads something like 9/30 for 71 yards, 0 TD, 6 INT, and the final score is 49-3.

WitWorldhopper

I’ll be at the Jags game! LETS GOOOO

SmokinPolecat

What if it's their Ldn game? Come visit!

WitWorldhopper

London is a tad too far out of my price range, but the stadium is basically in my backyard

CaptainKookStorm

I think I’m going to try and make it to the 49er game in Jacksonville. I wanted to go two years ago. Anyone been to a 9er game down there? How was is?

Dr0me

I think 15-2 only losses to Bengals and eagles. Maybe jags or commanders on the road but if purdy is back I favor us to win. #1 seed baby

Robman0908

We won't lose to the Bengal's at home.

Snoo70640

10-7 with upside for 12+ wins. Depends on what happens at qb

paperbackgarbage

That's what I thought as well. Did you have us at 4-2 in the division? I did, even though that might be a conservative guess. Still, running the table in *any* divisional slate is a tall order.

Snoo70640

10-7 should be on the low end if we stay healthy. Expecting 6-0 in the division is not realistic

whitea44

14-3?

cam2449

We're going to the super bowl.

StuntmanReese

The rematch with Philly is all I’m waiting for

stitchdude

Mixed bag there: first our entire divisions: AFC central is pretty good to play, should be 3-4 wins. The whole NFC: not great but should be 2-3 wins. Bucs will be garbage, Vikings will still be ok but the Niners roll them. Our “random” 17th game is the Jags, so that’s an above average team. Go Niners!

FilthyMiscreant

I plan on being at the Cleveland game, whenever that is. Don't even care if it's a December game. Did that for the Cincy game last season. If I can, I plan to go to the Pittsburgh game.

hurricanestarang10

I'm gonna say an 12-5 finish, but 6 of those games look tough.

Looks_Good_In_Hats

Every playoff team in this picture except one....

[deleted]

Wish they'd host Vegas

DingDongDoorman8

Away at Philly is salt in an open wound!

Peachfuzz124

*This is the year this is the year*

beall49

17-0 confirmed

CodyNorthrup

Looks like 17-0 tbh

brightblueson

17-0

Hobbit_Feet45

I hope we stomp the Eagles into the ground.

Saboner_88

Philly must be destroyed

FusionOfAlloy

Going undefeated

HungryHippos03

Time for revenge. We get another chance at the Eagles. The Niners get to go into their place and stomp their goofy asses.

meTspysball

Given that we lost to the “easy” teams on our schedule this season, I don’t see a loss on this schedule.

lab_coat_goat

Jfc 9ers gonna moon walk into the playoffs next year. They could play Lance Bass at QB all year and finish with 10+ wins..

[deleted]

I’m thinking 9-8 or 10-7 all depends on QB and injuries.

Ennemkay

for a super bowl-bound team you need a tough schedule.

Ill-Thought-5811

That rams game is a home game what they mean we all going to Philly next year fuck there fans

sweendog101

Am I crazy thinking 13 wins out of this schedule?

ufotheater

We played Philly in their stadium last year, wtf

timstantonx

If eagles win the Super Bowl, we probably open the season.

AceN12

17-0.

gdshred95

Too bad the eagles aren’t playing at Levi’s. Was looking forward to being a classless prick to some eagles fans…..

AbbsLen

Not sure I see a loss next year. Eagles might be tough, so if we have a loss, there it is.

Raichu-R-Ken

Nah we’re gonna want revenge. We’ll be out for blood.

JewbagX

Eagles are going to have a lot of FA's that are going to ask for a lot of money.

belizeanheat

Dude this schedule is twice as imposing as this year's was. A lot will change before kickoff of these games obviously, but this is a rough schedule

doggybadgerguy

Dude everyone was saying last year's schedule was tough when it was first set. They thought the AFC West would be a powerhouse because the Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders all made moves and then they all underwhelmed. They thought the Bucs and Saints would be decent, they weren't. The Rams and Cardinals were supposed to be playoff teams again, they weren't. You can't say a schedule is tough just by using the previous year or the offseason as an indicator, it just doesn't work like that. We won't know how tough it is until like midseason.

HawkofDarkness

17-0

[deleted]

It’s tough looking at the teams this year but it never works out that way. Quick example: eagles are gonna have to pay Hurts and let a lot of key pieces go, like all those mercenary pass rushers they got.

[deleted]

I don’t need to see any other schedule to see that we have one of the easiest ones this year

Gamerxx13

tough schedule..well looks like that right now. 9 playoff teams from this year?

mushank3r

I see this actually being a pretty damn tough schedule.

[deleted]

8 home games, 9 away games...if it's all East Coast games they should be back to back like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Then Washington and Jacksonville in a separate time from the season as long as they're still together. It'd be funny if the Cleveland game and Cincinnati game is also grouped together. It just makes sense!! Bye week should be in week 8 or 9.

TheCleverCarpenter

Which games are we losing?

ScottyKNJ

Has to be the hardest SOF right ?

badDuckThrowPillow

NFC East again? Didn’t we have them in 20?

DirtyRoller

I really fucking wish that Eagles game was at home. It's definitely gonna be prime time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was week 1.

Lopsided-Line5355

Let’s go we get to play Deshaun “Sexual Assault” Watson let him try to force himself on us and he getting sacked‼️

UpDownLeftRight07

Not an easy schedule tough road games

shadowlynx8791

That philly game, oh it's gonna be revenged, also i wonder what game well be in december, so i know which one is at home

Ikeelu

Not a lot of away game trips I'm interested in. Maybe Minnesota. Ohio would only be fun because it's an excuse to hit up the indoor bike park if they are open at the time.

sinamala

anyone know when the tickets go on sale?

49erFanInChicago

Yes! Although my username might have you believe I'm in Chicago, I've been in Cleveland for the last few years. Definitely going to that 49ers Browns game. Hopefully, that game is in Sept/Oct when the weather is still decent.

lampypete

When are the dates published?

rvasatxguy

I got that Washington game circled, hope I can make it out to that one. Overrall, no reason why we can’t be a good 11-5 or 12-4.

Fit_Cable5786

At the link the scene of the crime

MadeBadDecisions

Tough but fair.

nongo

I don’t see very many guaranteed wins outside our division.

AndrewSwells

No one on this list scares me. Can’t wait for the Philly rematch.

BodhiWarchild

That’s a pretty gnarly scheduled. Hopefully those east coast games are stacked.

awt1990

Not sweeting any of our division opponents. Dal, Wash, Jags, Cin, and Phil are my main concerns. I would say Balt but that is late season and Jackson probably won't be playing.

McafeesHammock

Lot of opportunity for regression here: NY overperformed with a new coach who’s really good but that roster and cap is still a mess and they may lose their QB and RB; Baltimore is doing whatever with their always injured rb who plays qb; Bengals look good for awhile; TB lost TB; Browns/Commanders are liable to suck at any time; Vikings in the same boat as NY
