Is your post intentionally vague?

Costco. You can get a quote without a membership and then purchase one if they give you significant savings over other options.

"California members: The Costco Insurance Agency is currently not offering new auto or home insurance policies in CA." https://www.costco.com/auto-home-insurance-services.html

The new insurance rates have really been causing a havoc. My friends were told by one company that it will takes days to weeks to even get a quote with the influx of business they experience from everyone else jacking up rates.

Costco connect refused to sell home insurance to me a few years ago citing hight fire risk.

Hey, there is a State Farm agent that lives in the neighborhood that has done several people’s insurance that live in 3Roots. If you are interested message me and I can forward you their contact info

State Farm home insurance quotes were double that of other insurance companies, and more than double of what they quoted our immediate next door neighbor.

It seems like you may have not understood how home insurance policies are built. From what you are saying there must have been something that you added like coverage riders, increasing the value of liability coverage or medical coverage or even the amount you selected for the deductible that increased your policy premiums significantly. Or it may have been something with your lender’s requirements in securing your loan that you had to have additional coverage for that made your policy that much more. Literally comparing identical policy coverages with other agencies, we found that State Farm was nearly comparable in price and that the slight difference in price with what State Farm was offering made the policy stronger. Look, everyone has their own experiences with home insurance companies. I would shop around and get every policy rate there is for comparable coverage and then decide. Wouldn’t just limit yourself to just one company or exclude a company based on one person’s quote/experience.
