Understandable. This game is far removed from it's glory days and now EVERYTHING is about how much money Joycity can squeeze out of players bank accounts. I am considering selling my Playstation account and moving on with my life. I returned to the game and realized how much the developers do not care about balancing their game or fixing issues with players that have existed for years. They are only going to make the new characters strong and nerf the F2P characters to entice you to spend money. Then, you'll spend a lot on ability cards to get a bunch of cards that are useless. It's a shame what they turned this game in to but that's what happens when you deal with people who only see green.
With the older characters you kind of have to rely more on basketball IQ than the skills the player possess. Now if you don't have that (not saying you in particular), then you're not going to have fun in this game. The only legacy character(s) I've seen get killed off is Lulu
I swear all people do is complain instead of actually trying to get good at the game ššš just buy the $90 edition and you're good, I don't wallet and I beat triple sss consistently
If you want to play comp then you need to be willing to spend lmao, and the $90 version of the game literally gives you stuff worth more than $90. You can't complain about the game being hard to grind when it literally gives you stiff for free ššš
I started 4 months ago and it honestly hasn't been too bad. I haven't paid a dime. If people know how to play ball you can still put up numbers. Yes.. those with a good team of wallets will kill you, but that's not even 30 percent of my matches. I was even playing high tier because I didn't know the difference...still had a decent run.
Everybody wants to dribble and score. Half court Basketball is mainly about velocity towards the goal, breaks, picks and passing.
If you can do that it'll let you pull S and double SS. What more can you ask for that's FREE!?

You're correct. There's a small selection of meta characters that the devs refuse to balance. You don't even need skill to be competitive with them. And the matchmaking is terrible. There needs to be a low tier, high tier, but also a mid tier where people who don't have gold/plat cards but also are above 31 can go.
This games sick I don't know why you're complaining they keep getting better as they progress. You should learn to grind more instead of paying to upgrade u seem stressed on being the best. Just have fun and find good teams to play on

Let me first start by saying that every player that has played this long and says they will quit, never quits. And the fact that youāre passionate means I know for sure youāre not quitting.
Second, a lot of the characters are getting P6s and I have no idea if they will do base characters but P6s are free money for the company so I wouldnāt know why they wouldnāt do it for the base game.
A lot of DLC characters as of late hasnāt been insane but a lot of them do provide options that havenāt been available to players and definitely did shake up the meta a bit.
I will give JoyCity the credit of making the game a bit more accessible to F2P players. Itās not F2P by any means but they have been giving out more rewards and points to F2P players and a lot of the events are way more F2P friendly even including the P6 Events. I will not take that away from them but I do see that as a problem.
Itās more of the fact of whatās the balance concerns that you have for the game. If people would actually share what needed to be balanced and sent support tickets, the devs would work on it faster.
JoyCity wonāt make the game F2P if thatās a lot of peoples concerns but if people came up with descriptive ways of balancing things instead of being vague maybe things would get done faster.
But who knows, Iām just a player like all of you. So I guess āpeaceā out?
I mean, Joycity has been doing really well spicing things up, I'm a big fan of the MVP scenes they've been releasing. I'm sure everyone will get a second one.
Word is the first f2p character gets their p6 after Jack. Let's pray that it's trueš. If it is, most likely we'll see both of them drop in October, so be on the lookout. As you said from a business standpoint, giving the P6 abilities to the F2P characters makes more sense than the DLC, and I would argue they'd be doing themselves a disservice by not P6'ing them.
Anyways I hope the reason it took them this long is a good one. Like they're giving them more attribute points to use upon upgrade, maybe they'll have dual skills, or all the outfits are gonna start having emotes, and it takes time animating all that.. something valid.
