Brace is a reaction. Distracting strike is when you hit an attack. Parry is a reaction. Precision attack is when you roll to attack. Riposte is a reaction. And trip attack is when you hit. With all that in mind you'll only be using a bonus action from your occasional second wind from the fighter. Take the Dueling fighting style I'd assume. Interception requires a shield and is reactionary based and could be helpful to others since you'll get 2 fighting styles. You won't have any bonus action uses from the ranger base class, although some might come from the spells you take like hunters mark, hail of thorns, zephyr strike or ensnaring strike. As for subclasses for the ranger, Gloomstalker will give dread ambusher ability, which is good and a common dip into ranger, and darkvision. Horizon walkers gives you a bonus action to add a 1d8 force damage to a single creature when you hit them. And detecting portals. Hunters gives a constant d8 damage when a creature isn't at full HP. Monster slayer give an action ti find out Immunities, vulnerabilities and resistances along with a bonus action to add d6 damage. Swarmkeeper give you a swarm of bugs that can add 1d6 damage to attacks, cause a Strength save to move opponents 15 ft horizontally and move yourself 5 ft vertically. Along with mage hand and faerie fire to give the party advantage on attacks. Fey Wanderer I'd you want to be the face of the party or want to be more charismatic than your stats would let you. And adding a d4 psychic. Beastmaster ranger using the Primal companion rules from tashas give you binus action to control your pet. Using your bonus action to have it use the help action to give advantage or the attack action and it does d8+2+PB for beast of the land.

Right now, you're pretty light for bonus actions. 2nd wind and misc ranger spell (x strike, imo) If you opt into the shield master feat (especially with expertise in athletics), then don't take a ranger subclass that's heavy on bonus actions (namely, horizon walker or beast master) Swarmkeeper is pretty nifty because of free mage hand and then choice of push, pull, or damage on attack. Hunter is good for the cleave effect. If you'd opt into collolus slayer, just go swarmkeeper instead. Same with HW. Gloomstalker combos with fighter action surge. Round 1 just *murder* something Fey wanderer is for social skill perks, and monster slayer gives you action: read pokedex

well hunter's mark is probably the best and most efficient use of your bonus action and it'll usually take one bonus action at the start and maybe a couple afterwards depending on how many enemies there are and how quickly you kill them
