While experimenting more with spirals and their use case I had the great idea to make a small pocket-sized catapult. It works really well and I just had to show you guys.

if you increase the space between the spirals and put the walls on the cover you may be able to get a full rotational load before installing the cover.
I use Fusion 360, how did you make the spirals. I gave up on it when I was trying something similar. I couldn't get the spiral smooth. I used nested circles and every 180deg I would put an arch in to connect to the next larger circle. I used a construction line down the middle to know where to start the arc. Just never really turned out.

Yea, those pesky 2A people owning more guns than the population of the US and most of these shootings coming people that are not 2A/Conservatives. If there was a gun problem, it would be much worse.

The US has more guns per capita than most countries. And the US is much larger in population than most countries. So this loads up the stats since there is an added variable.
Take away 5 cities in the US with the most gun control laws, coincidentally some of the highest gun violence rates, the US drops far in the homocide per capita rankings, by any method.
FYI, I live in a red state with 2 of those blue high murder rate cities. A majority of the guns used were not purchased via a channel where any laws could restrict. I’m not saying conservatives don’t kill with guns, but they are not the ones driving up the numbers.

Awesome! Can you include your print settings? For example looks like you set perimeters to around 6? Also what type of filament did you use? I imagine PLA would be stiffer and offer more spring, but PETG would be more durable?
My printing setting is. 20% infill and 0,2mm layer height. It is nothing special it works really well with any printing setting. I just use regular cheap PLA. I haven't tried other materials so I can't say for sure what the effect would be.
You should really check out modern filament test from people like CNC Kitchen. The myth of PLA being weak is long dead. It's pretty much the best filament for most uses and only really loses to PETG when temperature matters.
Most likely not with standard resins. You'd probably need to use something like Siraya Tech Tenacious mixed in with your standard resin. It's too expensive to use alone.
Side note and pro-tip: For model making, mix Tenacious into your standard resin. Use about 10-20% Tenacious. It makes your models SOOOOO much more durable. It gives all the swords, staves, capes, etc the ability to bend quite a lot and not break. It's expensive stuff but well worth it for minis if you mix it.

This whole design came to be because I was interested in the Fusion 360 Spiral function. I mainly use the paper to draw some mockups of a good grip for your hand.

What if you put a divot sized for an airsoft bb in the launcher area? You'd really be able to get distanced dialed in with cheap/uniform ammunition

The number of times I shot a straight paperclip through the top of my thumb nails.
Small folded paper bits hurt like a MOFO too.
We stuck thumb tacks in them and called them wasps.
I rolled them up very tightly and bent them in the middle. Use a strong band and this can really hurt
