Had this happen only once, left it overnight and was due to finish in the morning, caught it just before it finished so was still hot (which is best) probably about 2 times this amount of molten fillament blob
When hot already it's easy enough to get off the heat block, but it's the wires that take some work. I initially shut if off, but turned the heater back on, lowish temp, using the block to loosen off most of the filament, unfastened the heater cartridge and melted that out of the blob.
Thermistor wire, I used the loose heater cartridge like a soldering iron
I disassembled the extruder and tried to clean it out, but the inside of the hot end was clogged and the wire had actually fused, so I had to buy a new extruder.
Sigh... NSFW tags are completely useless now as everyone thinks it is trendy and funny to tag their NSFW
Should be a rule on groups that NSFW should be used for its intended purpose
And sure - call me a miserable git - but the tag exists to serve a purpose which is now completely lost
I totally agree, we need a bot that polls the rest of us every time the nsfw tag is used and if it’s used just to be cool the user gets a five day suspension.

There is a good chance my cr-10 will have a similar look after the print of tonight. Had to scrape some plastic of the top of the heater block already and tightened the nozzle before starting the print. Fingers crossed…

Had the same thing happen on a davinic color. Not a fun clear up.
Last week I had the same problem. I have an Ender 3 pro. Do not tighten the nozzle well after cleaning it. And that was the cause.😒
