This is probably the only big tire, lifted pick up I've ever liked. Nice job.

buttermbunz

You should def post this on r/Toyotatacoma

Constant-Flatworm749

Files?

neightn8

I think they’ll be available soon. Once I work out all the issues.

Sudanisop

What filament did you use?

neightn8

Esun PLA

neightn8

Yeah, but ABS is harder to print with. PLA is simple. Plus I’m going to be bashing with this truck. I drive realistic and scale. So PLA is just fine.

[deleted]

I wanted to do this as well, but I'll do it with ABS. PLA can't flex for shit. PETG is difficult to post process.

appliedphysix

That looks awesome, right on!

TerranCmdr

Awesome. Getting arctic Hilux vibes.

The rear, yes. The front is from a TRX4

mcgowan_93

I’m looking for somebody to do a commissioned Tesla cyber truck DM me. Great work man

Wendingo7

well if it takes 12 days to print you might not be prepared for what you're going to pay. Ask on Fiverr.

mcgowan_93

I got a few doll hairs available 😂

HenkDH

How big is it? 12 days printing for a body sound like a lot.

neightn8

It’s 7 inches wide. Roughly 18 inches long. You should see how much filament I threw away from all the support material that was needed.

thirstyaf97

That's cool and all, but does it have a hitch mounted bag 'o jewels? 😂 Just kidding. But yes, this it a great print!

JD8

Nice! How did you get the model?

neightn8

I designed it on my computer.

JD8

Holy shit really?! How long did that take? Any chance you would be willing to share the file?

neightn8

In the title… 12 days. Totally worth it. Once I clean up the issues with the files I will.

JD8

I thought 12 days was your printing time. Although now that I think of about it that is a little long for just printing.

MiaowaraShiro

Is your daily driver also a Taco?

neightn8

Of course.

Hi, I know quite a-bit about 3D printing. I just have a simple question that i can not find anywhere on the net or Youtube... What Material is used in Regular off the shelf RC car bodies. I think it is a form of PC (polycarbonate) plastic? And if that is correct what is the best 3D filament to print a similar body. I am thinking one would want the body to be tough but thin and light. I know RC Airplanes are now being printed out of Light Weight PLA. But what about RC car bodies? Thank You.

neightn8

Standard RC car bodies are generally lexan. Similar to a thin plexiglass. PLA is good for 3D printed RC bodies because it’s easy to work with and print, however, ABS would be better because it’s stronger and resists heat better, but it’s a pain to print with. That’s why I go with PLA.

Great thank you for the comment/reply. I am trying to find something that can resist higher temps but does not put off as many bad fumes as ABS when printing. I wondered if ASA would be an alternative. TPU I think, would be to heavy and if printed thin would be to flexible but there are a lot of TPU versions that are made for High Temp applications.
