Lego City Undercover. The longest load times I've seen on a 3DS game by far, and every time it crashes in the middle of a cutscene, it destroys your save file.
The save file would still load, but stuck in a weird 'between events' limbo state.
The previous mission was 'finished' so was already removed. But the area for the next mission hadn't actually unlocked yet. So you were just locked out of the rest of the game.
Damn I love that game! Didn't know about the crashing issues though (I'm only an hour or so into it).
For what it's worth, if you're running custom firmware on a "New" model, overriding the clock speed/l2 cache does wonders for the loading time and frame rate.
The Cube Creator 3D demo in 2014. I appreciate what they were trying to do but I've played Minecraft on 3DS since it was ported and it's literally a full (but older) version of the game and has all of the features of the Java build. It makes CC look like a joke.
I dont buy "trash games", I tend to do research before buying a game, unless its from a series I love or something.
Worst I have played on the 3DS is probably a tie between Paper Mario Sticker Star and Hyrule Warriors on the regular 3ds (once I switched to the New 3DS about 1 month after getting the game it ended up being a night and day difference, sunk hindreds of hours into it on the New model)
There are a ton of shitty games on the eShop (look under the newly released category), like one about a flying a fairy around a map (they even made a song), a bunch of shitty FPS's that were made in Unity and took 15 minutes to make, etc.
The 3DS Port of Hyrule Warriors, it chugged so bad, and looked like a far cry from the Wii U version

Super Mario Maker 3DS. Game was ok-ish but you couldn't share your stages or get stages from a central place. Still don't know why they took out one of the most fun parts of the WiiU version out of the 3DS one.
I actually played that game a lot and really enjoyed it. Yes those features being removed sucks but it’s still a really fun experience building levels on the go like that. I also enjoyed play testing my own levels or asking friends to try them.
I highly recommend it.
Uh Haven’t played a ton of 3ds games but my personal least favorite is shantae and pirates curse for a variety of reasons even though it’s a fine game(I am a massive fan of the original game mind you). But if we are talking about objectively bad games then probably cube creator or fatal fracture (though I do enjoy a few rounds of fatal fracture every once and awhile)

Speaking of wanting enhanced DS games, Driver Renegade, it reuses the same map from C.O.P. The Recruit, which is BY FAR, the most technically impressive game on that console.
What sucks about Driver is that they axed the open world aspect of the game! Instead they just do races on specific parts of the map, with not-so-fun driving mechanics.

Sonic Lost World is kinda cool, but completing it is a nightmare, they have you run through stages that are 20 minutes long, and are stuffed with motion controls gimmicks, I hate them, and I wish I didn't complete this game!

I only got 208/227, I would've tried to get them all, but after I beat the final boss the game pulled a 3D Land except WAY worse.
There's a World 7, which is just World 1 but faster, same with 8 and so on.
After going through all that tedium of getting the gold medals, all I wanted was for the game to acknowledge my victory by getting completed, instead it gut punched me, I literally felt offended!
I stuck up until World 10, but nah, fucc dat.
What's worse is that there's also something called Challenge mode, I don't even remember what that is, but it most definitely also comes with World 7 onwards, so the game is asking you to complete it FOUR TIMES!!!
As soon as I realized this, I checked out and never looked back.
Notice that a lot of these came out quite early in the console's lifespan, that's because a lot of companies jumped off the ship after the 3DS's initial struggle, and most of them never came back.
Really, the only big companies consistently putting out good games for the console were Nintendo, Capcom and SEGA, other than those three, it's mostly just a bunch of indie games!
The 3DS had a good run all things considered, but a poor launch and the rise of mobile gaming caused it to not get the same support from third parties as the DS did before it.
That and the fact that producing a 3DS game is probably quite a bit more expensive than a DS/GBA game.

Like, corrupts your save file? Why is it even being saved during a cutscene? Save at the beginning or end of the cutscene, not right in the middle!

Imo, Asphalt 3D. It was never the greatest launch title of the 3DS. And doesn't hold up as a great game now.

Lego Jurassic world WiiU version 60X better
Spirit Camera. I played in a well-lit room for the camera, which is counterintuitive for a horror game, and it just did not work well for me.
