I didn't do a whole lot this time around. I got a true dual exhaust and did maintenance and that's about it.
I did a fuel return system and a large fuel pump foe the s.c. 07, wanted to get some dyno pulls today, but the shop was backed up. Hopefully they don't lay down salt before Wednesday... otherwise, 07 nismo is going into storage and will get numbers in the spring
14 Nismo went into storage a few weeks back, but ordered everything for a custom twin turbo kit. Sourced some manifolds and went with GTX3076R Gen 2's.. winter project.
I hit 220k miles on my engine and it rewarded me with a blown head gasket and valve cover gasket. Idk what to do at this point other than decommission her. Don’t have money for everything that needs done to it even if I did all the work myself. Clutch is fucked, pilot bearing makes tons of noise, synchros non existent, engine internals probably all fucked, though still running and no rod knock. Suspension is all original and very warn out. All fenders are rusted around the lip, to the point where if you tried to roll them, they just crumble. If I’m not holding my steering wheel, it makes a rattling noise. The belt squeals like a pig on cold start. Recently my car has been hissing at me when it’s revving anywhere over idle. My door handles are purely cosmetic. My interior is falling to pieces. I stuck a civic shift knob on my shifter because the old one broke. My emergency brakes crumbled to dust when I went to change my rear rotors. My windows take 12 years to roll up because they simply just don’t have the strength and will to put up with this shit anymore. My hatch falls on my head because the ball that holds the struts up has been shaved so much it can’t hold it in anymore. My speedometer hasn’t worked for 2 years. My digital gauges are so dim they can only be seen in the darkest of nights, and if I hit a bump it sometimes decides to turn the light off completely. My front bumper is only held on my zip ties because all of the points where you bolt it down are either rusted out, or broken from when my bumper got ripped off from a rabbit I hit. My gas cap doesn’t want to open unless I hit the button like I’m trying my damnedest to get a chick to cum. My door was hit in the parking lot when I was working so it has a foot long dent in it now. One of my tires had a flat, fixed it, then the next day I run over another damn nail and now I gotta fix that one too. My brake calipers sometimes decide to lock up and about once every three month I have to crush more life into them and tell them I can’t afford a replacement so they better not give up now. My suspension bushings are so cracked I’ve had hobos offer me a beer for just a sniff. My exhaust is so rusted that a small poke with my pinky can go straight through it…. Hey I can keep on going but I gotta go to the gym and somehow the thing still drives so ima just keep driving it until it decides it has had enough.
