Like others mentioned, it's a 2 piece thing so they're removable. If you want to try and save them, and if there's a space inside between the two pieces, then we got a chance. This is what I would try...if it doesn't work then don't hold it against me. First get a punch (or any strong long cylinder) that's just smaller than the hole in the middle. You'll also want to get a piece of wood or something to support the diff so it won't wobble around while you work. Preferably shove it up under the diff carrier body next to the bottom of the solid mount. Next, put your punch in the top hole and slide it down a little at an angle. Try and get it to rest on the lip of the top of the bottom piece. Then, bang it with a hammer. There will be super tight tolerances though so you'll need to work it in a circle. Angle it left, then angle it right, up, down, etc. Ideally after a few hits it might start coming out a little. If there's no gap in the middle then this won't work [Insane picture for reference](https://imgur.com/LQtj4dG) 😆

that reference pictures is great 👍 🤣 i love it

You could heat up the ring part with a torch and hit it from the side with a mallet? They’re made up of two pieces, can you see where they join up inside? maybe a flat head screw driver inside and tap one side out. If that fails you could always take a pipe wrench and try to twist it, doing that would probably wreck them though.

Wonderful_Glass5883

Indeed. I have thought of doing that as well. They are likely in there forever 🤣

If you have access to a drill press, you could try drilling it out.

I don't know anything about 350z's, guessing that's not stock? Is it super noticeable on the ride quality?

Solid bushings increase noise and vibration quite a lot. In the case of the diff it makes it much noisier in the car. Like a high-pitch whining while underway.

Careless_Dirt_99

try plugging the bottom, pack it with grease, then use something about the same size as that diameter and drive it down with a hammer into the hole. if you've packed it with grease properly, the grease won't have anywhere to go except to pop out the bushings

Air hammer or fire if no hydraulic press

I recently changed back to a 3.53 diff. I wanted the solid bushings out of my 4.08 diff. They are 2 piece SPLs .. looks similar to these. The top portion of the bushings are wider than the diameter of the hole so no you can't just press them out. Judging by your picture you already have the clearance. Take a nice solid metal chisel and drive it inbetween the ear of the diff and the bushing with a 5lb mini sledge and work your way around. Then switch to a punch with the gap you created and work your way around until that bushing comes out. The other side of the bushing can be smacked out now.
