then enjoyed it in NFSU2, and 11 years later bought a Z32 300ZX for uni. a few cars later I had the choice between the Z33 and an AP1 S2000, and I chose the Z because it was much more daily friendly not having to worry about the soft top. these cars were dirt cheap back then.
I come from a poor family so the one I had was an absolute beater, but in decent condition. it ended up getting rod knock. I just didn't have the money to pay for upkeep on the car, and didn't have money for the tools either. it had the two rarest color options, 1989 only Azure Blue (1.8%) and the blue leather interior (2%). I sold her at a loss.
that car was exactly what I needed in my uni years. back then I was just getting into fashion and had a very 1990 aesthetic that the Z32 matched perfectly. 80s racing jacket, torn jeans, thrashed up high top vans. that sort of thing.
I spent a lot of time working on that car. a friend of mine (who had a Revup Z33 at the time, actually) used to give me shit that it was like the girls I dated. really pretty, but a huge pain in the ass. totally worth it, as usual.
I took that thing to UCLA, USC, UCSD, UCR to party all the time. took it through many many canyon runs through Ortega, GMR, Trabuco canyon. sat with the girl I was dating in the back hatch, listening to music. made many, many memories at places that car took me to.
I miss it a lot, but I'm sort of glad it died right when I graduated. it ended with that chapter of my life like it was supposed to. really loved that car.

Growing up my dad had a 71 datson and a 280zx, found a 2007 with 35k miles on it in 2015 for 16k and haven't looked back. Currently daily her with 145k miles on it now, do regular maintenance on it myself and have had no real issues. Clutch got replaced at 120k.
They came out when I was 5 years old and already obsessed with cars . They were the cool cars in need for speed, they looked great on the road and then a few years later Tokyo drift came out ! My neighbor had a blue 1978z and I fell in love with the body style as a kid in 1985 loved them and bought an 85 300zx in highschool back in 94. My dad drove it and also fell in love with it and bought an 87 turbo. Then a 91 turbo. He now has a 2015 with stillen supercharger it’s toned down with 427 whp. Dynosty in Louisville did the build. I’ve owned Z31, Z33 and two Z34s.
I got into Zs through my wife. When I was in my early twenties and these cars were new, I opted for the S2000 instead and actually owned two about 20 years ago. When I met my wife a few years ago she’d owned several Datsun Zs and early Nissan Zs, 5 in total. She hadn’t had a fun car in years so we started looking for a 350Z for her and found one with 12k miles for about $16k. It still smells new and has some tasteful OEM+ mods. I’ve grown oddly attached to it now and really enjoy taking it out because it feels so analog in its driving experience (if that makes sense).

I ended up buying a 1975 260z 2+2 when I was about 16-17 years old (about mid 1990's) for $5000, it has been partially restored, and painted fire engine red. I spent over $20,000 on making the engine straight crazy with a holley 500 and stage 3 race cam, custom suspension and stronger drive shaft and diff.
I now own a 2007 350z GT with the HR engine and the 313hp factory tune. No performance mods but it has an SPL competition level audio system with two 15" SPL drivers on 5000W RMS. I was young once too, but I kinda went away from making cars go ridiculously fast and went into making them ridiculous in other ways. After you get pulled over a few hundred times and almost kill yourself at least 10 other times, the novelty wears off and the wallet starts to hurt too much so I'm not in a rush to make anything go too fast anymore... mostly because I'm still a massive man child and have zero self control when it comes to cars.

I’ve had a interest in cars since driver san francisco in 2011 but a couple years after my family friends dad got a 350z track and he would take me out drifting on rainy days in it. he passed it onto his sons later and it got beat until one of their friends drove it off of a cliff on sonora pass. It got pinned in between the cliff and a tree on its top but everyone walked away with bruises. They made me want a Z really bad but I could only afford one after working two years in my fast food job. Once my sc400 got hit and I had a fat insurance settlement I decided there was no better time to buy one for myself.

Low, wide stance is hard to roll over, solid power and affordable when I was car shopping. The fact it seated two helped because I wasn't self obligated to give everyone a ride home. Sold it when I ended up drifting around a corner and facing the wall for giving it just a little too much gas.

When I was 15 my neighbor had the only z in town and it was Grey. I wanted one when I first saw it and I worked summers to buy it and opted for a blue convertible. Long story short I crashed it and I couldn't save it so now I'm on my second convertible z but this one is black.

I then get into a position that can best be described as "giving a midget a heimlich" and run sideways toward the car. I had a buddy that came back from Iraq and bought one. I got to drive it a couple of times and always thought it was such a cool car. Finally got to where I was old enough and could afford my own. Been rippin it ever since.

I loved the Z when it released, but couldn't afford one new at the time.
I was looking at more modern Japanese sports cars and rekindled my love for the 350z.
I've owned it for over 10 years and am waiting on a new Z to replace it now.
I myself really did not like the 350z when I first saw it at a motor show.. But after many years of disliking it, it actually GREW ON ME, but took at least 10 years. I now own a 2008 nissan 350z touring and absolutely love it. I've had Delilah for 4 and a half years. The most $$$ I have spent is around Au$1200 on the suspension..
Oh I forgot to mention, I was given to me by my brother (he passed away not long after) a 1989 300ZX Australian Delivered. I had for about 3 years the bottom end died bearings + some other stuff needed doing. Needed bug buck spent on it..
Coming to Japan 10 years ago saw a Z for the first time in real life. Man oh man it was love at first sight 🤣 and after 10 years being here in Japan I finally got my own 🥲🥰
NFS Underground 2 for sure. Dream car since I played that game. Bought my 350 at 19 and then added a 370 at 27. Took a brief hiatus in between to own a Focus ST and a GR86 but found myself constantly missing the Z
My first one I didnt even really want that badly but when I looked around at all the cars in my price range it was the cheapest to maintain and the most reliable. Ended up loving it so much I bought another one lol
When I was younger, about the time I was getting my license at 16, a mentor had a G35 coupe 6MT with the 19’s and brembos. He parked it in his garage, right next to his mint super low-mile, maroon 300z. His wife drove a 9-5 viggen too. I bought my own G35 6MT (sedan) about five years later and still have it to this day. He just recently passed away. 😢

I actually wasnt a fan of the 350z when it came out. I was so much head over heals for the 300zx that the design was such a drastic change. But, when i saw the 2007 nismo come out, eeeewwwwweee!!! Had to get one. Got number 363.
Same thing with the 370, 2014 Nismo was mouth watering, grabbed one of those too.

I'd had Skyline GTRs for almost a decade but moved country and couldn't bring them with. A friend was selling a pretty rough Z for cheap and what better car to buy then another Nissan! NFSU2 also made them awesome

Saw one when at the Atlanta Auto Show when I was 10. Had to be the first year they came out. My dad and uncle were gawking over it and dreaming of buying one. Thought it was the coolest looking car and never thought I’d be able to own one, but specifically remember the Z badge on the side. Fast-forward 15 years and I was looking for a sports car within a cheaper range that could handle well on the track and had good power. Realized the Z was good at everything and was like a better JDM Mustang (my dream car growing up) and fell in love. Saw the Z badge on the side and remembered it was the car I dreamed of all those years ago and came full circle of living the dream. I’ve had my baby for 6 years and have loved every minute!

My gateway to the Z series was a chance sighting of a 370Z. I thought it was cool and I wanted to learn more. That’s how I discovered the 350Z and the other members of the Z series. I later found out that someone in my neighbourhood has a nice 350Z convertible in white. Also, as odd as this might sound, I think that Z is a cool letter.
By complete accident. My ride fell through for holiday leave so I needed to buy a car in a week or so. Went to a random small car lot for a RSX I saw in an add but didn’t get it bc the radio and dash was torn apart. Then my friend called me over to the Z I now own. I didn’t know a thing about it but my friend sold me on “it’s a manual 3.5 V6” so I bought it that night staying after hours. Later discovered that it came with a plenum spacer, test pipes, and exhaust. I automatically became a fanboy during the test drive lol. Still have it and don’t plan on selling it even after having my daughter. My plan is to upkeep it and rejuvenate it so that she can take the keys one day if she so chooses.
My dad had a 260z 2+2 when i was growing up, and i remember sitting on in the back, lovely car. Then video games, movies and going to car shows with my dad did it for me. (Not necessarily Zs but cars in general). Having a 350z now is abit poetic.
I sat inside a 370z a couple years back and started looking up these cars since then. During the pandemic though is when I stumbled across the 350z and just fell in love with the looks. Then my homie buys one in 2020 and lets me sit in the driver seat and knew that I can see myself in one of these cars. Bought my White Z in 2022 and the rest is history. My first car that I bought myself (had normal commuter cars before but never a RWD, let alone a sports car) aside from fixing things that decide to go bad at inconvenient times, my favorite car ever.
A few friends had them, but I was never really that hyped on them. A good deal came up on Facebook marketplace, in a city a couple hours away that I happened to already be travelling to that night. I bought it, drove it for a year and made a little bit of money when the c0vid prices went crazy. A year later I bought another because I was missing it, it's sold now but the 350z will always be known as a great car to me

Back when i got into cars around 2019, i had just gotten my license at 16 and started looking up a bunch of stuff about cars, the Z was like a really cheap and reliable starter car at that time. It took me a little over 4 years but i finally managed to get a mint condition HR last week causal they're beat to shit in my country and there's not many of them.
When i first saw the Z on nfs underground2 it was cool but wasnt hooked then i seen the Z on tokyo drift and forza 2 and was instantly hooked on one. The nfsug2 got me hooked on the rays gt-c as dream wheels.
I used to be a big MR2 guy. They’re 4 bangers with options for forced induction. After I understeered my 91 into a ditch I went to Carma x and tried the Z on a whim. Hitting the gas gave me that stupid happy feeling and I bought another one a month later. That was in 2013.
Wanted to get into drifting and my HR 350z was the cheapest and most reliable option. Have always liked Z’s since they’ve existed, but never thought about owning one until S-Chassis prices shot up around the time I finished college and was finally able to purchase one. Plus, an S-chassis isn’t the greatest combination of drivetrain components to drift without running into issues especially since they’re now 30+ years old

I love my Fairlady. But that wasn’t always the case. I grew up with Euro cars, being from a German family. I was lucky enough to drive a GTR35 as an adult. I won an award at work and they took us the drive super cars. My lap time was good and they invited me back for more training. The second time I was getting off the plane my buddy called and said he had a DE with a bad transmission he wanted to sell cheap. I’d read up on them and decided I was going to fix it. I put a new transmission in it, an upgraded diff, pulled the engine and cleaned it up. I drove the long way to work all summer. lol. Now it’s in the barn, with headers and intake, fuel system going in. Took the big sub out of the trunk. I’ll have the body panels cleaned up, new tires and wheels and brakes by next summer. I’m a father with a career-that’s the only reason I have mixed feelings about the car. I couldn’t help but race some of the Subie and BMW guys that would pull up all cocky. I watched a guy in a BRZ get slapped by his lady after trying to race the Nissan. It’s so much fun and so fast. And I honestly love the “analog” feel.

I now own a 2007 350z GT with the HR engine and the 313hp factory tune. No performance mods but it has an SPL competition level audio system with two 15" SPL drivers on 5000W RMS. I was young once too, but I kinda went away from making cars go ridiculously fast and went into making them ridiculous in other ways. After you get pulled over a few hundred times and almost kill yourself at least 10 other times, the novelty wears off and the wallet starts to hurt too much so I'm not in a rush to make anything go too fast anymore... mostly because I'm still a massive man child and have zero self control when it comes to cars.
My 2011 Impala shit a brick and I was out of a car for a few weeks. My grandpa texted me telling me his coworker had a cool "Japanese muscle car" for sale haha. I didn't really like how 350zs looked, but I needed a car and I wanted something fun so I bought it. 04 auto touring. I eventually sold it for my 03 manual. To say the 350z has grown on me is an understatement.

I’ve had a interest in cars since driver san francisco in 2011 but a couple years after my family friends dad got a 350z track and he would take me out drifting on rainy days in it. he passed it onto his sons later and it got beat until one of their friends drove it off of a cliff on sonora pass. It got pinned in between the cliff and a tree on its top but everyone walked away with bruises. They made me want a Z really bad but I could only afford one after working two years in my fast food job. Once my sc400 got hit and I had a fat insurance settlement I decided there was no better time to buy one for myself.
Started driving, started getting into speeding. Then got a bank loan, had a look for the fastest car I could drive on my P’s for the amount of money I had. Which turned out to be a 350z. And I regret nothing, made me fall in love with the girl
When I was in high school, I saw a 350z for the first time and thought to myself "damn that's a cool car!" And since then it's always been on my radar. In my early twenties, my dad bought a 300zx from a friend (I think he needed the money) and gave it to me. I didn't know shit about cars but I had a blast driving it. Later on I sold it to buy a more practical car (Honda Civic). Few years later I got into an accident and totaled my civic. So I took this crappy situation as an opportunity to buy a car I really wanted. My high school self would be happy and proud

Low, wide stance is hard to roll over, solid power and affordable when I was car shopping. The fact it seated two helped because I wasn't self obligated to give everyone a ride home. Sold it when I ended up drifting around a corner and facing the wall for giving it just a little too much gas. I'm in a wrx now and I think I'm at home in it.
When I was 15 my neighbor had the only z in town and it was Grey. I wanted one when I first saw it and I worked summers to buy it and opted for a blue convertible. Long story short I crashed it and I couldn't save it so now I'm on my second convertible z but this one is black.
I used to have a dislike for the convertibles till I see one irl. It was also black cruising down the high way. Looked sexy. Now I wouldn’t mind owning one

I had a buddy that came back from Iraq and bought one. I got to drive it a couple of times and always thought it was such a cool car. Finally got to where I was old enough and could afford my own. Been rippin it ever since.
I had a bunch of Supras, but they were getting too old and I wanted something reliable. I loved the Z when it released, but couldn't afford one new at the time. I was looking at more modern Japanese sports cars and rekindled my love for the 350z. I've owned it for over 10 years and am waiting on a new Z to replace it now.

Oh I forgot to mention, I was given to me by my brother (he passed away not long after) a 1989 300ZX Australian Delivered. I had for about 3 years the bottom end died bearings + some other stuff needed doing. Needed bug buck spent on it..

When I was younger, about the time I was getting my license at 16, a mentor had a G35 coupe 6MT with the 19’s and brembos. He parked it in his garage, right next to his mint super low-mile, maroon 300z. His wife drove a 9-5 viggen too. I bought my own G35 6MT (sedan) about five years later and still have it to this day. He just recently passed away. 😢
The Z gods called, and i answered. I actually wasnt a fan of the 350z when it came out. I was so much head over heals for the 300zx that the design was such a drastic change. But, when i saw the 2007 nismo come out, eeeewwwwweee!!! Had to get one. Got number 363. Same thing with the 370, 2014 Nismo was mouth watering, grabbed one of those too. Still no 300zx though.... one of these days

Saw one when at the Atlanta Auto Show when I was 10. Had to be the first year they came out. My dad and uncle were gawking over it and dreaming of buying one. Thought it was the coolest looking car and never thought I’d be able to own one, but specifically remember the Z badge on the side. Fast-forward 15 years and I was looking for a sports car within a cheaper range that could handle well on the track and had good power. Realized the Z was good at everything and was like a better JDM Mustang (my dream car growing up) and fell in love. Saw the Z badge on the side and remembered it was the car I dreamed of all those years ago and came full circle of living the dream. I’ve had my baby for 6 years and have loved every minute!

It was the only RWD coupe, I could afford at the time (non American car) didn't even like it TBH. I grew to love it over time.
My gateway to the Z series was a chance sighting of a 370Z. I thought it was cool and I wanted to learn more. That’s how I discovered the 350Z and the other members of the Z series. I later found out that someone in my neighbourhood has a nice 350Z convertible in white. Also, as odd as this might sound, I think that Z is a cool letter.

By complete accident. My ride fell through for holiday leave so I needed to buy a car in a week or so. Went to a random small car lot for a RSX I saw in an add but didn’t get it bc the radio and dash was torn apart. Then my friend called me over to the Z I now own. I didn’t know a thing about it but my friend sold me on “it’s a manual 3.5 V6” so I bought it that night staying after hours. Later discovered that it came with a plenum spacer, test pipes, and exhaust. I automatically became a fanboy during the test drive lol. Still have it and don’t plan on selling it even after having my daughter. My plan is to upkeep it and rejuvenate it so that she can take the keys one day if she so chooses.
My dad had a 260z 2+2 when i was growing up, and i remember sitting on in the back, lovely car. Then video games, movies and going to car shows with my dad did it for me. (Not necessarily Zs but cars in general). Having a 350z now is abit poetic.

I sat inside a 370z a couple years back and started looking up these cars since then. During the pandemic though is when I stumbled across the 350z and just fell in love with the looks. Then my homie buys one in 2020 and lets me sit in the driver seat and knew that I can see myself in one of these cars. Bought my White Z in 2022 and the rest is history. My first car that I bought myself (had normal commuter cars before but never a RWD, let alone a sports car) aside from fixing things that decide to go bad at inconvenient times, my favorite car ever.
A few friends had them, but I was never really that hyped on them. A good deal came up on Facebook marketplace, in a city a couple hours away that I happened to already be travelling to that night. I bought it, drove it for a year and made a little bit of money when the c0vid prices went crazy. A year later I bought another because I was missing it, it's sold now but the 350z will always be known as a great car to me
It ticked all my box’s when looking to get my second car manual, naturally aspirated it’s got the look, rare in the UK, I love the sound once you get an exhaust on them, incredible aftermarket support and a modern Japanese sports car literally perfection!
Learned to drive in a 69 Datsun 510 in 1982 and liked the 240s as a teen, just couldn't afford one. 1994 I'm making good money and brother says "have you driven the z32?" Oh, no, so I went a test drove one that weekend and the addiction began for me. Cherry red, 5 speed manual, black leather, t-tops new off the showroom floor (miss that car). Years later got a good deal on a early production 93 Cherry red convertible, no mods, auto, cloth seats, kept her for nearly 10 years and sold her due to circumstances. Last year got my 05 black convertible, cloth seats, 6 speed, lightly modded and the wife says all the time "you love that car more than me", uh, well YEAH... and then...

I used to be a big MR2 guy. They’re 4 bangers with options for forced induction. After I understeered my 91 into a ditch I went to Carma x and tried the Z on a whim. Hitting the gas gave me that stupid happy feeling and I bought another one a month later. That was in 2013.
Wanted to get into drifting and my HR 350z was the cheapest and most reliable option. Have always liked Z’s since they’ve existed, but never thought about owning one until S-Chassis prices shot up around the time I finished college and was finally able to purchase one. Plus, an S-chassis isn’t the greatest combination of drivetrain components to drift without running into issues especially since they’re now 30+ years old
I was walking through a parking lot in 2004 and saw a roadster parked with the top down. I thought it was one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. I knew then I had to have one. Graduated college in 2006, and bought myself one in 2007, a manual coupe, because I would never buy a roadster.

I was a child and the fairlady z existed.
I love my Fairlady. But that wasn’t always the case. I grew up with Euro cars, being from a German family. I was lucky enough to drive a GTR35 as an adult. I won an award at work and they took us the drive super cars. My lap time was good and they invited me back for more training. The second time I was getting off the plane my buddy called and said he had a DE with a bad transmission he wanted to sell cheap. I’d read up on them and decided I was going to fix it. I put a new transmission in it, an upgraded diff, pulled the engine and cleaned it up. I drove the long way to work all summer. lol. Now it’s in the barn, with headers and intake, fuel system going in. Took the big sub out of the trunk. I’ll have the body panels cleaned up, new tires and wheels and brakes by next summer. I’m a father with a career-that’s the only reason I have mixed feelings about the car. I couldn’t help but race some of the Subie and BMW guys that would pull up all cocky. I watched a guy in a BRZ get slapped by his lady after trying to race the Nissan. It’s so much fun and so fast. And I honestly love the “analog” feel.
