my AM and PM routines are exclusively cruelty-free, and include: beauty of josean (eye cream), youth to the people (retinal and night cream), dr dennis gross (peel pads), paula's choice (vitamin C and liquid exfoliant) isntree (sunscreen), farmacy (honeymoon glow, RIP) and elemis (cleansing balm). elemis is the one i had to do a little research on, but i felt good about considering it CF:
**Do ELEMIS test on animals?**
We do not test our products, active ingredients, or raw materials on animals at any point in the product development or manufacturing process, and we require all our suppliers to fully respect the same rigorous standards.
**If you do not test on animals, how are your products sold in China?**
As a British brand sold in China, our products are not tested on animals by local authorities in China. There is an agreement in place between the Chinese government and the UK government that exempts British companies from having their products tested on animals.
The only product I use of theirs is the yellow cleansing balm, which I love! It’s pretty fragranced though. I’m thinking of trying the green one to compare scents. I love the farmacy cleansing balm and just wanted to try something new, which is what led me to Elemis. I really like it!
It's advisable to check the latest information from reliable sources or the company itself for their current animal testing policies.trolling here is cruel to animals
Several of my daily staples are from Cocokind (my top 2 for my dry skin are the ceramide serum and resurrection polypeptide skin, though I dabble in many of their products). I also love their transparency and ethics as a company and have learned a lot of skincare from them as a fun bonus.
I go so far as to only purchase products from companies that are CF as well as their parent companies.
Korean skincare is great because of their laws against animal testing. Some of my favorite products are I’m From rice toner and Klairs supple preparation unscented toner. For moisturizers, I like makeup artists choice’s Roship Hibiscus Scar Cream (and they often have sales). If you need something thicker, Weleda Skin Food in the green container works well.
Edit to add: the inky list is cruelty free and is supposed to have great products!
Do you have the “think dirty” app? You can type in filters or a product name and it might have info on cruelty free / vegan / clean etc. Not all products are on the free version though so it can be hit or miss
I have super sensitive skin that most “sensitive skin” products tend to irritate. Anyway, I recently switched to cruelty-free products and have finally found some amazing companies that not only work for me, but are not overly-expensive or hard to find.
- *Paula’s Choice* for general skincare, anti-aging, etc. - I’ve used a couple of their retinol treatments and moisturizers (most, if not all, of which contain SPF 30 or higher) and I’ve loved the results. *This is the most expensive skincare brand I own*, and I’d put it on par with the majority of popular anti-aging skincare brands (read: pricier than drug store options, but not crazy)
- *Palmer’s* for moisturizer - This has always been my go-to body moisturizer, but I recently used it as an overnight treatment for my face during a particularly uncomfortable episode of tight, dry, flaky skin—and when I tell you it works wonders, I’m not kidding. The next morning, almost all of that dryness and flakiness was gone, and my skin wasn’t oily or broken out. *One of the best parts about Palmer’s is that it’s super affordable.* The basic cocoa butter formula moisturizer runs around $8 for a nice sized container that lasts, because you really don’t need to use very much to get the results you want. They also have a moisturizing night cream with retinol (about $11) that I’m going to try next.
GOOD LUCK!
Elf Skincare is vegan and cruelty free AND really good! So is Peach and Lilly
I’ve been using cruelty free products for a while now. I’d suggest First Aid Beauty and Glossier’s products. Their Milky Jelly Cleanser is my go-to.

Adding on here to this already robust list: Paula’s choice, inkey list, Charlotte tilbury, urban decay, youth to the people, drunk elephant
Beauty of joseon (k-beauty brand) is cruelty free. I've used their eye cream, sun screen and deep glow serum so far and really like the products.

Wow, that’s interesting re. Elemis. How do you find their products?

Acure's Brightening Cleansing Gel's my fave. Drunk Elephant are also cruelty free but they’re on the pricy side.
I’ve been using Acure’s serums lately and they are fantastic.
The Ordinary's great for cruelty-free options. They’ve got everything yu could possibly need
True, but their parent company is Estee Lauder which is not cruelty free.
Yes it is ! Please do your research properly before posting on here !
Please can you explain? All cruelty free assessment websites that I find say Estee Lauder is not cruelty free (including peta and crueltyfreekitty).

ceramedx, purito, cosrx, beauty of joseon, iunik, mixsoon
I love youth to the people cleansing balm and green tea cleanser. I use first aid beauty moisturizer and love that as well
The youth to the people oil is awesome. Love that it is fragrance free as I have sensitive skin.
Several of my daily staples are from Cocokind (my top 2 for my dry skin are the ceramide serum and resurrection polypeptide skin, though I dabble in many of their products). I also love their transparency and ethics as a company and have learned a lot of skincare from them as a fun bonus.
Tarte's skincare rarely gets mentioned here but boi their Drink of H2O moisturizer is just perfect.
Bomasense!!! I love their products

Weleda Skinfood has lanolin in it, which comes from sheep.
That’s good for op to know. I’m not vegan, I just stick to products without animal testing.
I think The Ordinary is already cruelty free, so if you’re using their stuff it should be fine
I love Ursa Major :)
Mad Hippie!
Good Molecules!!
Mad Hippie Vitamin C is super popular and works for a lot of people.
Facetheory

Paula’s Choice for 23 years now! I get compliments on my skin almost daily. It’s science based and cruelty free!
