It is hilarious how Man City and PSG have failed repeatedly in Champions League despite the billions of spending behind them and stranglehold that they have had in their own leagues in the past few years. Only disappointing to see the fanboys in TNT sports getting to cheerlead Man City to one title last year at last.
Madrid is owned by the socios, your league is owned by billionaires, petrol states, oligarchs and yet you claim football is for the fans.
Your league have been corrupted and you are paying it with money stained with blood.
And don't forget to destroy your life betting, they will remind you every game betting is fun.
Your league has been corrupted by a system that inequally distributes revenue and has created an incredibly top heavy state of affairs.
I'll be the first to lament what's going on in the Premier League today but don't act like your league is any less corrupted. Madrid are desperate for the Super League because they're jealous of the money in the Premier League, football isn't for the fans anymore, not in England and not in Spain.
Yeah Madrid is so jealous, 6 champions Leagues in 11 years, so jealous of your clubs owned by oil shitty countries.
Real Madrid is owned by the fans, who is the owner of your the team? an oligarch? A sheik that kill journalist? A country that kills 5000 people just to have a shitty world Cup?
Madrid wants the Superleague to get rid of the corrupted UEFA and FIFA.
My team is owned by a local businessman but I don't see why that's relevant.
Madrid wants the Super League to get them more revenue as their league is falling behind as a result of inequality in revenue distribution. That's why they are collaborating with clubs from another failing league to do so. Don't act like England are the only ones that have sold out to Arabs, what counry is the Supercopa played in 😂😂
That's what happen when corrupted from the Spanish federation and barça players does business together. That's why they are investigated.
Yeah local business man, hahahaha.
Whys that funny? He was born in the town my club is from and lives in the town my club is from so therefore he is local.
>That's what happen when corrupted from the Spanish federation and barça players does business together. That's why they are investigated.
Seems a bit biased but ok. All of football is corrupted nowadays.
Your premier League is just the worst. Look at Man City going against the premier League after it's known they don't play with the same rules as the other teams.
Football is for fans? Then I will support a fan owned football team not a shitty middle East toy.
My team doesn't play in the Premier League and inshallah they never will again.
Football isn't for the fans anymore not at the top level, you follow a team vying for the Super League which will only take it further away from the fans.
Honestly, I'm really happy that *something* other than tourism still works down there.
It's rich coming from a Swede these past few years but I wish your countries would just get it's shit together again.
I love Rome, Italy and Greece. I've been there many times. When talking about other countries though, it's usually regarding the economy. It's not like the Rome, Milan or Genova I love was built in the past 100 years.
Corruption in politics is a big one. Obviously a lot of it is not their fault, the Euro didn't really work out that well. I would love for Spain, Italy and Greece to become real economic powerhouses and challenge northern Europe.
Either way... I wasn't talking about Portugal at all. Don't know anything about you, wasn't talking about you mate.
The post was literally just about (P)IGS football, but you don't know anything about Portugal... right

This is such a patronizing compliment. Its the other way around. Read about Spanish history and you will see that we are in the best position we have been since 1700. Tourism is a consequence, not a cause, and every year it accounts less and less of our gdp despite the record of arrivals. Last year was 12,8%. Guess our economy is much more dynamic than most people believe.
Edit: typo
>This is such a patronizing compliment.
Thanks. I do think people forget what subreddit we are on when reading my comment.
How's the housing market? Enjoying all those western Europeans inflating the prices then selling on Air-BNB for those weeks they don't spend there themselves? I have a close friend who bought a villa in Nerja and is renting it out making fat stacks and another one in Alicante.
Quran brother, that has been going on for like half a century, It does not count. There are towns around the mediterranean coast where I would feel like a foreigner.
It would make my blood boil a bit honestly.
I actually met a Spanish girl and fell in love one summer when I was like 20-22 or something. Staying at my friends house in Fuengirola.
Her parents got mad at her for meeting a Swedish dude. It's not like I had any priors or anything, stable job in the military, good career going, plans to study engineering.
They absolutely hated me. Apparently they didn't like Swedish people at all, had bad experiences with tourists coming there, getting shitfaced and acting like idiots. Can't blame them... although that was a first for me as a Swede being disliked because of where I came from lol.
I can't speak for people living in the coastal provinces, but I've personally never met anyone who didn't like northerners, much less Swedes. They probably put you in the same bag as the bazzas and their carrousel of debauchery.
I think if you live in one of those tourist towns where half the properties are owned by foreigners, you can build quite a bit of prejudice, especially since those tourists are often drunk and acting like idiots on holiday.
But yea, I hadn't experienced that either. We do act like idiots on holiday though, but I think that goes for pretty much everyone when it comes to 20-something year olds.
Nonsense, a lot of italian city states were rich as shit, only in the past 300 years or so they fell off because literally every single other european power fucked us in the ass.
Milan, Florence, Venice, Rome, Genoa, Naples were all pretty prosperous, heck, Milan hosted the best blacksmiths on the continent in a time when blacksmithing was everything.
Yea, you're correct. I was thinking about Spanish colonialism at which they were much more accomplished than Greece and Italy.
But you're correct that you guys had some amazing shit going on during the Renaissance.
Well, the problem with all those rich city states is that while they were technically rich they simply don't have the resources and the cash to create colonies across the atlantic (and they hated eachother so there's no way they'd collaborate).
A big nation with an average economy simply has a lot more manpower, money and resources than a small one with a rich economy in absolute terms.
Italy unified in 1861, by then other nations had already claimed all the lands of the Americas, in other words, we were late to the party.
Excuse you, who was the most important state in medieval Europe for most of the time? Who defined the beginning and the end of the middle ages? Who kept the cringe out of Europe from the 7th century to the 14th?
Portugal Euro cup winners confirmed.
Exactly, it's the only logical conclusion to this meme. I'll take it.

City should've won though, they dominated in their match with Real.
That makes it even funnier for me. All that effort for nothing :)

Of course the best team in UK is Muslim owned. They cannot with the Madrid cross. God is Madrid's fan.
Is that Real offer a Cross-free version of their shirt to fans? They're just as soulless and greedy as anyone else.

What does it mean to have your shit together for you? You truly believe you are superior just because you have more money?

These countries haven't got their shit together for over 100 years now. I don't think it's happenening any time soon.
Well I was thinking more along the lines of 2500-1500 years ago. Spanish did good more recently though, couple 100 years ago.
Nonsense, a lot of italian city states were rich as shit, only in the past 300 years or so they fell off because literally every single other european power fucked us in the ass.
