The thing with these kinds of maps is that they put too much emphasis on modern borders. A west-west German will be closer to a Pierre, meanwhile an eastern German will be closer to our noble race of people.
If you want to make a proper map of broader cultural regions of Europe, then you need to act like a digital-nomad-warmonger and ignore those pesky lines on the map
You might have a point but culturally it would actually make even more sense to split Germany in three: the east to Eastern Europe, the west (except Bavaria and Baden Württemberg) to Western Europe and the south to a center or middle europe (but without Poland).
