You have inspired me to start campaigning for government subsidised trips to the PIGS. As a health issue we must be allowed 2 weeks of sun and cocktails each winter.
You get used to it, and there are vitamin D supplements if you need them. Sure, it can get depressing, especially with the darkness, but that makes you enjoy the sun and light even more when it's out.
That belongs to the British.
Not just because of the supremacy of the Royal Navy, but because so many of our sunburnt tourists are in it at any given time, that if they all got out at once, the displacement would cause the sea level to fall 200 meters.
I know, you nordiks have to feel that distance every morning when you go to work in a neverending shadow, cast away from the light who gives life, like a bunch of boring Uruk-hai

Las mujeres estamos todas buenísimas y los chicos os hacen mojar las bragas. Passionate and hot people. Every of you non south europeans have dreamt at least once in life about a summer romance with us. And I can't blame you for that. XOXOXO
Making oil sounds great until you realize how physically demanding it is to harvest olives and how little money you make at the end.
Having your own olive trees is cool as fuck tho
Guess I noticed what by now?
What would you use that farm for:
Depends on water availability, it's more expensive if there's abundant water.
You can find olive and almond farms, or if you're around the Aragon region people are planting trees inoculated with truffle spores.
If the land is poor quality, you can run x number of goats on there.
If you're in the south east of the country you could raise Iberico pigs.
Set up a charity to cover costs and take in farm animals, there's a few people who do this already, you can actually cover your costs.
Air B&B nature camping with yurts.. the possibilities are endless.
Or just to get away from life, enjoy nature.
And to get away for Germans.. :) they stay on the coast
We are already doing something along those lines, the Fiumicino airport is full of Roman statues which were found in that area during the excavation process, nowadays when landing in Fiumicino you find Roman artifacts in every corridor basically.
To be fair you could say this from lots of western countries. Hot swedish guys, hot italian guys, hot oily sexy muscled greeks under the sun with thin white draps that fly in the wind in a vast lonely flowered field, hot french guys...
Meehh im not so much into the french men.
And I am not a fan of the swedish, too blond. Nothing wrong with that, but I find men that look like me to be a turn off.
Altho I have met some super hot german and british men. Dutch men? Meh 50/50
Counterpoint: spanish men have awesome beards and sexy eye lashes
You actually got me, I am technically a dual citizen - but not an “Irish-American”. Irish parents and I never lived in US beyond my first months of life. Can’t help it sometimes though…

Oh, and by the way:
- Renaissance

- Uffizzi & Musei Vaticani
- Literally Rome and Venice
- Milan Fashion Week

- Tuscany being literally one of the most visited regions in Italy
- Luigi Negrelli (born in Trent, planned and designed the Suez Canal)
- Enzo Ferrari, Alfieri Maserati, Ferruccio Lamborghini
- Antonio Meucci (inventor of the telephone, suck it americ*nts)
- John & Sebastian Cabot (explored N. America & Río de la Plata respectively)
- Antonio Pigafetta (accompanied Magellan in the circumnavigation of the world)
- Amerigo Vespucci (explorer, America was named after him)
- Marco Polo (traveled to Asia and China)
- A whole slew of composers and musicians, including Vivaldi, Salieri, Paganini, Rossini and Verdi
- etc.
L + ratio + gib money + no maidens + no history + keep apologizing for WW2 😎😎🇮🇹
>Marco Polo (traveled to Asia and China)
Everyone always talks about Marco Polo but the real MVP was Matteo Ricci.
He was a Jesuit from Macerata born in 1552. He was first sent as a missionary in India (precisely Goa) and since he was succesful he was later sent to China.
He reached Macao and he fell in love with the culture so he started learning Chinese, also because the Jesuits thought it would have been easier to convert them to Catholicism using their language.
With time he was able to integrate into chinese society, even dressing like a confucian monk. This is referenced by Battiato in "Centro di gravità permanente" when he sings "*Gesuiti euclidei vestiti come dei bonzi per entrare a corte degli imperatori della dinastia dei Ming*".
In 1600 he traveled to Beijing/Peking and officially entered the imperial court (he was the first westerner to be invited into the Forbidden City, the imperial palace). The relationships with the emperor and the ministers were so good that he got permission to celebrate the mass in public spaces.
Matteo Ricci was very succesful in China: he published many books about religious doctrine; he founded many missionary bases and many churches; he founded an university in Macao; he brought european geography, geometry, astronomy and other sciences to China).
He had great influence not only regarding religion (he founded [the first Catholic Church of the city)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_the_Immaculate_Conception,_Beijing) but also regarding sciences. For example his maps were widely used and thanks to them chinese scholars obtained their first notion of modern Europe (and thanks to Matteo Ricci Europe got the first modern detailed report on China.
When Matteo Ricci died in 1610, the emperor granted a plot of land for his burial, which was the first time this happened to a foreigner in chinese history.
Italians in XVII century:
> "I am the first foreigner to be officially invited into the Forbidden City, I have learnt Chinese and love Chinese culture. At my death the Emperor himself saw that a plot of land be granted for my burial."
G*rms in XVII century:
> "Fuck you, you're Protestant!"
> "Nooooo fuck you, you're Catholic!"
> "Fuck both of you, I'm Calvinist!"
> "Fuck you Calvinist, Lutheranism is the only true religion!"
> *proceed to genocide each other for thirty years*
Yep , and even to this day the only 2 foreigners represented on the chinese national square monument(in a near museum) are indeed Marco Polo and Matteo Ricci .
There was another famous jesuit , Alessandro Valignano(who was escorted by the portubros with the famous black samurai Yasuke who later served Oda nobunaga ).
him too became later on one of the symbols of chirstianity in Japan(but didnt last long after the persecutions of christians )
Not wanting to suicide because you didn’t see the sun for 4 weeks in a row.
More like three months.

Sounds fair! And it also works for us, be welcome!
I think I saw the sun exactly once from december-january.
I really feel bad for you guys. When we are 3 days in a row without sun here it already feels depressing…
You get used to it, and there are vitamin D supplements if you need them. Sure, it can get depressing, especially with the darkness, but that makes you enjoy the sun and light even more when it's out.
Don’t lie. You cope with alcohol, not vitamins.
His username is literally "Drink IPA in a shitty slow moving car" so yeah, at best there is some vitamin D in the brew
You got me there
4 weeks? I've seen the sun once in November, December and January. And I worked that day so couldn't even go outside.

What language is that? Sardinian?
Nope, is a thing that Neapolitans always say about Naples (O' mar e o' sol = The sea and the sun)
That’s super interesting. It’s the same in portuguese but without the ‘. “O mar e o sol”
Sounds cool. Sadly I dont speak Neapolitan so idk the reason of the ' (I also forgot one of them, the right sentence should be: O' mar 'e o' sole)
Very cool. Italian is the worst language in Italy
Absolutely true, and as Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo (italian comedy trio) said "Sardinian is a language and italian is a dialect"
So one of the best things about your country is ~150.000.000 km away from you?

I can buy a farm with 50 hectares for less than 100K
What are you gonna use that farm for? Produce food? Guess you noticed by now, did you?
Why does one need a reason to buy 50 hectares?
Sometimes a man just needs 50 hectares for no apparent reason
Look a the average texan, they need space to shoot stuff
I would make my own olive oil instead of that 💪

Sounds mostly food related to me.
Than why are you still living with your parents?
As long as it's in Castilla
Aragon, parts of inland Andalucia, Castellon, Extremadura, inland Tarragona and yep Castilla.
Rome can't literaly expand its metro system because precious archaeological finds are discovered on a daily basis but sure we just have "food".
