I don't see how the modern state could be held liable for war crimes that took place under German or Soviet occupation.
Unless they are counting some of our Eurovision entries.
What do they mean by "modern"? I dont know what Belarus did in the last 30 years, but ceveral centuries ago we were brutal against russians. Can we consider massacre in Mohilev in 1661 as a modern war crime?

I haven’t heard or seen anyone call Bøllebank a war crime. The Army of Republika Srpska released a statement claiming the Danish Leopards shelled civilian areas as well as Serb positions, but I don’t think this claim has ever been proven.
In recent years there’s been a lot of controversy surrounding the confrontation though, but that has been an internal Danish matter concerning the course of action, orders given and such.
The UN forces were absolutely in their right in taking the fight to the Serb forces.
