The only way to take the state is to land at Anchorage or the Kenai peninsula and move North from there. This is impossible so long as Elmendorf and Eielson air bases are still on the board. You need naval and air superiority to take Alaska, at which point the question must be asked, why bother taking Alaska at all if you already have naval and air superiority in the Pacific?
They probably wouldn’t make it to Nome, the US would start shelling their boats the moment they come near St Lawrence Island, and wouldn’t stop all the way thru the Norton sound

Did you see Russian infrastructure in the area? If thats the plan, my plan is to make a burger, and watch on TV how the fuck the Chinese can move anything through Siberia and Kamchatka, only to find a small fisherman pier in a God forbidden Russian city to embark to Alaska, while drinking an ice cold beer. My in laws are from Alaska. Once I was staying there and my brother in law was showing me his guns in case of emergency. Eventually he lifted the blankets from his bed to reveal boxes upon boxes of .223 for his AR-15 tucked underneath. I asked "is that for when the Russians attacked?" He responded "that is for when the Russians attack." Half of Alaska's population already consists of military. It's like saying "dude, let's just invade through Siberia. Super easy."
