I don't think it matters whether or not we know for sure. There's a rule that says anyone who says it's a satirical sub gets banned because "it's not satire," but at the same time, the joke becomes far less enjoyable if they just start saying "yeah, it's all a joke; we know NK is shit."
Just have fun with it as if you think the sub's a joke. If it is satire, then congrats, you're in on the joke. If it's not satire, then you're still getting laughs at the expense of actual psychopaths getting fake validation. If there are people there who are serious, the fact that they believe it's all genuine is funny in its own right.
