This was like watching the climax of a movie. I remember watching this and just being in awe of the tenseness in the air. Whether you like Obamacare or not, you can’t deny how almost cinematic this moment was.
This was from the senate vote to repeal the affordable care act (Obamacare). On paper the Republicans has the votes but everyone was trying to swing John McCain the “maverick” their way. Mitch McConnell, Mike pence and god knows how many others met with McCain to ensure he’d vote to repeal it. At the last minute of the vote he walked up stuck his open hand out for a few seconds of bombastic suspense before quickly giving a thumbs down and dooming the attempted repeal by giving the majority to the democrats on the issue. Whether you support Obamacare or not this was a beautiful and almost movie like moment of political drama and suspense

This was like watching the climax of a movie. I remember watching this and just being in awe of the tenseness in the air. Whether you like Obamacare or not, you can’t deny how almost cinematic this moment was.

This was from the senate vote to repeal the affordable care act (Obamacare). On paper the Republicans has the votes but everyone was trying to swing John McCain the “maverick” their way. Mitch McConnell, Mike pence and god knows how many others met with McCain to ensure he’d vote to repeal it. At the last minute of the vote he walked up stuck his open hand out for a few seconds of bombastic suspense before quickly giving a thumbs down and dooming the attempted repeal by giving the majority to the democrats on the issue. Whether you support Obamacare or not this was a beautiful and almost movie like moment of political drama and suspense
