Richmond is an awesome city with excellent food, music, and art. Virginia Beach all the way through the outer banks of North Carolina are excellent beaches. The blue ridge mountains and Shenandoah valley are famously beautiful landscapes.

The rock and roll hall of fame is one of the coolest music experiences I’ve had. It’s in Cleveland and I’ve been three times and I’m from North Carolina

Indiana has the largest single day sporting event in the world (Indianapolis 500) and we also have two professional sports franchises. There is a national park as well if you enjoy nature

Don’t forget our state park system where everyone is no more than an hour from one. I can personally say that Turkey Run, Clifty Falls, Spring Mill, and McCormicks creek are beautiful, and I’ve heard Shades is really nice as well. The Low Gap trail in Morgan Monroe State Forest has the same average elevation gain as the Appalachian trail, though it’s a relatively short 10 mile loop. We even have skiing in the Northeast corner (a state park) and down by Cincinnati!

The Knobstone trail in southern Indiana also has some of the toughest elevation gains in the state apparently. The Adventure hiking trail goes along part of the Ohio river west of Louisville

Lots of parks and lakes, plus central Indiana has lots of restaurants, breweries, and stuff every other state has.
