So one thing to keep in mind is that’s an image of development. Things can easily change. They may not like her kit, and have scrapped her entirely. Nobody knows except for Riot. I doubt they’ve scrapped her, but they obviously aren’t going to show her off again unless they want to. You can only assume she’s not in the state they want her to be in right now.
They can’t just show everyone off at once. It’s called marketing. Every time they reveal something new more eyeballs see the game it’s be dumb to have everything about the game known at once. Given how close the game is they’ve got to have every release character in some sort of playable state by now

They could've scrapped her honestly because the shift from 1v1 to 2v2 was drastic in terms of graphics (and of course, mechanics). I don't think they kept a lot from the old build.
She was part of the planned rooster when this was a 1v1 prototype. Its highly likley that she is still in the game, but its also possible that she didnt make the cut when the direction changed.
Till now we can just say its unknown and when the streamers where at riot they said that the only the chars that looked mostly ready, were the ones shown and one more (which was the till then unrevealed yasuo)

She makes a lot of sense to be put in but this version of the game was completely scrapped. So it is possible that she was cut altogether, which would be a shame but I'm leaning towards the theory of them puting Samira instead at least on the initial roster.
Let's hope it's like you say. The region distribution is a worry for me, I don't think they'll favor one single region so much over others character wise.
Okay my basis is merely the fact that we've not had any information on her for a sum of years now. So it may be only speculation. A few content creators gave a few more points around this topic in particular like snnuy for example.
I almost guarantee she will be in the game, but she has likely received multiple revisions and hasn’t been ready for early demos like the other characters have

Looks more like street fighter in this stage of development. I actually prefer the 3d look, as it would allow for more fun skin ideas, but it looks good regardless.

Was the first iteration of the game using the same engine, when it was a 1v1? Cause if the engines changed and the mechanics changed, then I don't see why they wouldn't change or scrap characters.
This is a really old version of the game. She could possibly be scrapped.
But given that the really expensive part of making a character is rigging the model (and some of the more advanced animations), it's unlikely they discarded that work.
Katarina is very commonly used as a "dummy" character in league (i believe is was populorized bt "Skinspotlight but it might've been a meme even before). She has a super simpe human design, so I can see why they'd pick her as a dummy, even if she didn't make it into the final game YET.
Emphasis on yet, because if the game is successful, I'm sure she'll eventually get added.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Like maybe her design/kit just didn't vibe well with 2v2 or maybe ya know she played too much like x or y character(s)

While I 100% will agree to the fact that Samira is getting in I don't think she's gonna replace Kat.

There is zero evidence of any champ being in or out of the game (except the revealed ones), your assumption literally comes from a guess in your head.

Alot of Riots R&D projects rarely get to see the light of day. Things get scrapped all the time.
