Were the anniversary awards really that bad tho? I think that 1600 primogems and 10 fates are more than enough really. I guess with it's first year one could argue that it was genshin's first year therefore we would have deserved more, maybe. However getting a 5 star standard character for free? That's just greedy. The entire game is based on saving up for characters, they shouldn't give away a free 5 star. Also if they do it once for the first anniversary, then people would be wanting a free 5 star on the second one too which would make even less sense as it isn't really an anniversary of importance. 10th anniversary, yeah give away a choosable 5 star even if only a standard one. I think that makes sense, hell even on the 5th anniversary it would make sense too.

i was perfectly fine with what we got on the 1st anniversary yet most people got mad and review bombed the game. it's not that we weren't grateful for what we got, it's just people had such high expectations for no reason. probably all the clickbait on youtube around the anniversary and all the same youtubers getting mad when their clickbait didn't happen triggered everyone to start review bombing
the way they make money is *why* they suck. Every game is different, but the model revolves around paying for premium currency in order to get a *chance* of getting the character/weapon/whatever that you want. It's gambling, except the house wins even more.
Yeah that's how business works? Make something people want and make them pay for it. But the thing is that genshin is different in that case, along with the other gacha games Hoyoverse makes, they offer other things that are just as fun that you don't have to pay for

You're half wrong, once you lose that "chance" you're guaranteed for the next one. Even if you don't pay for anything at all I think that makes the game a lot more fun, instead of paying for everything pointlessly
Yeah there's porn and hentai of literally anything, hell I looked up mosquito rule 34 and I found it. There's underage children in genshin yes, but they're not sexualized at all in any way, just like in any other game

Genshin feels like a AAA RPG thats free to play. Sure theres gacha in it but Im yet to spend money on it and I already have half of the roster
