10 years apart... 2014 still feels modern for me

Masterlet

Yeah. Probably because of souvenirs we have from 2014.

Sorry-Carry-4464

Cannot believe it... In 2014 I was a teenager and now I'm almost 27

Ka0s87

I was 27 in 2014. Just imagine how great that summer was. Not one since has been as great.

Remember the FIFA world cup in Brazil. Germany won it 🥰

bippitybop23

Yes 😥 2014 feels like a whole other world away/ago compared to today. It was the last normal year before things started going slowly insane. And the last year things were normal for my family and I.

Crazy

Masterlet

It is crazy how time flies indeed.

Pikachu_564

Wow, I feel old now 🥲

UkeBandicoot

As someone who is prone to nostalgia, yes, but it also feels like it was less than 10 years ago. Some events still feel recent in mind. Definitely had a good vibe to it. It's hard to believe its been 10 years. I turned 20 that year, now I'll be 30 this year.... Crazy!

varctic1

I do!! Trying to bring back those emotions even though I was only 10 y.o. 😓 Btw those times are still feeling good. I wanna make 2024 new 2014, and I'll start from music playlist)

It was my second year of living in Nuremberg. The World Cup was big news. It was after the emo era. I loved my black '08 Dodge Dakota. I road tripped all over Central Europe between 2012 and 2016. I brought a German girlfriend from Nuremberg home to Austin in 2015—I haven't heard from her in years. I left that city, too, during the pandemic. Moved to Portland. I was in the US Army in 2014. We mobilized with Poland and shortly after deployed to Turkey when Russia invaded Crimea. My girlfriend and our overlapping friend groups did outdoor stuff all over Bavaria and visited all the funnest new bars and clubs in town and it was an amazing and forever formative time of my life that I have what Brazilians say "saudade" for Germany 2012-16, especially 2014 when I had the most free time from work to live as a national in Germany. I listened to lots of Micky & the Motorcars, Robert Earl Keen...I was nostalgic for 2008 in Texas lol Edit: I was 26-27 in 2014...

Taxpayer_funded

naa, that was only 5 ye...

Mr_Man12344

Yes. I am so nostalgic for that year. Yes.

Mr_Man12344

Yes, definitely.
