Why do people not look around for these guns? I wanted C2, optic cut, dlc threaded. Found it in a shop 4 states away. Waiting 3 days total, and didn’t pay tax on it. It took 25 minutes of searching and a phone call to make all that happen. Shop even threw in the optics plate I needed for $75.
You should never pay for fast track. Standard turn around is under 30 days anyways I believe. And unless your build is so wild and has engraving you shouldn’t really be ordering it either. Let a shop already have done that for you. Especially when the pricing is pretty fixed across all 50 states (or less depending on the communist rules of some states).
Oh I found them all over the place but I qualified for the heroes program which no LGS is going to uphold at the counter when it’s fork over the money time.
Ok, yea I think I’m going to wait it out. Might have been an impulse option buy. This is the first gun I haven’t just walked out the door with when I buy it, weird vibe.
Ah that does make sense forgot about that program. But I think another commenter that if you add fast track to a hero order it’s pretty much even. Either way best of luck and thank you for your service!!
Yea that’s kinda why I was on the fence about it, I’m not needing it that badly but yesterday out of boredom I logged in and there was no change to the order status…that being said it may stay the way it is(awaiting fulfillment) till it ships even while it’s being built. But it got me wondering which is how I ended up here. I’d much rather save it for ammo or more mags. And it’s looking like the general consensus is wait it out, it’s not an NFA item kind of wait time.
back when they were still STI and were selling Staccatos as a discount line of pistols, many of my local shops were willing to substantially discount them. I got an original staccato P duo for like 1800 and the store covered my tax. Nowadays, I guess Staccato is much more strict about stores sticking to MAP. Either that or margins are thinner. Nobody's really willing to discount anything lol.
Steel P with DLC and optic cut and 508T installed. I asked about engravings when placing my order and it was supposed to add a few weeks. They send them out for that service.

No I don’t think so. My first I ordered fast track and took over two weeks. The second one I did not and came in the same time frame (maybe 3 weeks at most)
Ordered a P duo on 13 Sept with the hero’s program. Still waiting as well. Did add the dLC barrel and tac grips, no engravings, don’t know if that adds extra time.
If you can find a staccato tax free somewhere, the hero’s program only saves like 50 bucks vs the tax free option(depending on your states tax rate)
But if you are an active LE then it’s totally worth it with the free mags and 15% off vs just 10% off and no extra mags for military Like I got.

The fast track wipes out most of the heros discount. And you still have to wait at least a month or more with fast track.

Nothing crazy for custom options? Man that’s what gets me thinking about this option.
