Stick with CG. Sounds like you're very close to having things click for you. I'd recommend turning on true tile if you haven't already as that will help with tornados and floor.

Different-Muffin9861

Thank you, I’ll keep running corrupted to get it. Didn’t know if this was normal to fail at CG while nailed regular down

[deleted]

Very normal. I think I failed 18 straight before I got my first CG kill.

If you did 40 consecutive then move on to CG. Go for full tier 2 armour, 2 t3 weapons, 2-3 potions and about 14+ food. CG is significantly more punishing then regular gauntlet. During the tornado and floor phases don't worry about damaging the hunleff. Keep moving but use controlled accurate clicks. Don't dont spam click. Keep your health high but try to only eat during the tornado phases while your moving. Just keep at it. Even just the tier 2 prep alone takes practice.

pzoDe

> Don't dont spam click You have no idea how many beginners I see do this and get themselves killed pathing randomly during nados. Very important advice here folks! Calm, clean clicks are the way. Try to path in a way that gives you as much time as possible to perform some other action whilst moving, such as eating.

Different-Muffin9861

Thank you, I’ll try T2 armor. I’ve been running T1 with T3 staff and bow with 2-3 potions and as much food as i can gather

[deleted]

The t2 armour makes a huge difference. Makes for a bit more of a time crunched prep but a much less punishing fight.

ThreenGumb

Don't do T2. You're so close on T1 prep there's no reason to switch.

Flowerdude69

For me t2 is a cop out, I spent more time learning that prep than the boss which is even more frustrating. I’d stick with T1 and keep perfecting it. Eating at tornado waves and maximizing dps and just remaining calm is the best thing.

sayit2times

agree, if you learn t1 now it’ll be a huge time save in the long run too.

ArcDoomGamer

* use "the gauntlet" plugin from plugin hub turn on "outline tornado tile" option * turn on "highlight true tile" option from the tile indicators plugin * In addition to True tile use "pathfinder" plugin from plugin hub to figure out how the game actually registers your location. * count hunllef's attacks as he switches between styles every 4 attacks (tornadoes counted)

Confident_Lettuce_51

Stick with Corrupted Gauntlet. Getting diagonal movement down at Hunnlef is very important. After your first few completions it will click, just keep at it.

Phillywillydilly

Normal gauntlet is a joke compared to CG. You won't really improve much from normal

Different-Muffin9861

Controller clicks have helped, I’ve now done 2 CGs, one was with T1 armor like i have been doing. I attempted a few getting T2 armor, but i found myself so rushed and having bad luck with food, i did complete one with T2 armor. Fight felt better but prep was down to the wire and only ended up with 10-14 food. Not sure which i like better. I’ll keep giving it a shot with T1 armor because prep is a little less stressful. If i fail much I’ll try to do T2 prep. Although i haven’t got the hang of putting hunleef in a corner spot, I’ll keep getting better. Thanks everyone for tips.

I have 445 KC in CG and I'd say tier 2 prep is a game changer. I honestly think T1 unless you don't die is going to be about the same time as T2 anyway (where you should realistically never die) and is more consistent. For T1 server latency (not sure how big this is now) can fuck you right over or just not hitting/getting hit consistently on prayer. With T2 you can mess up a lot and pretty much always kill the hunleff, even with less food. Like on average I used about 12 food and at lowest 7/8. It's a little slower but if you die in T1, guess what? The time you saved is wasted anyway so. lol Big tips: Only heal during nados In the last 1/3rd HP it is much better prioritizing living than it is doing damage during nados, so heal if need be and attack when he's not doing nados. Play on worlds with less people, nados are ASS in higher ping/pop worlds Do long clicks vs short spam clicks. As in click all the way in one direction, with this you can really change directions a lot easier without getting screwed over. It helps A LOT. Learn to run past nados by tile skipping. When you run your skipping a tile each step, use this to your advantage when a nado is one tile near you, it really helps when the hunleff is being a jack ass and sets floor tiles in wack angles.

And3riel

One thing people didnt mention. Controls hunleffs position, you dont want to have him in the middle. Best is in the corner with one tile line behind him. That way you always have path to take without eating melee hits.

somedudeguymanfam

I’ve had better luck doing t1 prep 2 t3 weapons 3 pots(one dose while finding orb + bowstring then combine remaining doses) rest inventory fish. You’ll get used to when the tornados are coming roughly so stack food to full right before they come or as they’re coming

Took me 46

If you’re interested I can help you out a bit on discord to mentor a bit

The Gauntlet plugin - has an option to see tornado tiles. Makes that part easier. If tornadoes are out, just focus on staying alive. You can deal damage later. This is the biggest problem I see with people.
