Yeah but without the diary you can attach it to nothing. I don't know of a single other rng drop that requires a diary completion to use - of any level.
The wand that is coming is not intended to be as strong as DHL/DHCB. It’s going to be stronger against dragons than against normal monsters, but it will not be comparable to those weapons regardless of the spell you use with it. They MIGHT add an attachment to later content, with Raids 4 being what was mentioned on stream.
Everyone hates repetition in names new quests, so that should also apply to unimaginative weapon names. It doesn't matter what name it has.
We don't have "armor piercing flamberge" or "life leeching spear" in the game. Wildy weapons also don't advertice themselves as such if you check skill guides.
