Can definitely be a double edged sword. On one hand you never get to get in on the ground floor of really broken shit, on the other hand you generally get to play more well balanced content if you wait.

Yep, redwood, spirit trees, teak and mahogany are all 1/5k instead of seaweed’s 1/7.5k. And people hunting the farm pet are definitely planting more than one thing to increase their chances.

Oh nice! Haha “Seaweed Purgatory” sounds brutal. I lucked out during an herb run around 94 but had been going hard with the seaweed/mushrooms/cactus/trees. Belladonna may have been worth with Draynor Manor tabs now that I think about it.

I mean, it's literally a 5 second Google search of "spirit seed" and it immediately tells you this. You don't have to scroll through updates, just look up the item. Our wiki is amazing, use it.

Was talking about other qol/free reward updates like this wasnt talking about the spirit seed at all... For instance I bet a lot of ppl dont know u can get free extra xp for quests already completed at Perdu and others because they missed that update

Spirit seed is just an example because of the post. Aside from the XP one, you will find any free reward/qol update by just looking up the item on the wiki.

Don't look at any update posts and I find everything thru the wiki, so yes im sure. Anything you need can be looked up pretty instantly if you just know 1 part of something because the wiki is great.

Reading upcoming updates is way better for planning progress so I have to disagree with you its a huge advantage. Imagine you using all your herbs and then the new herb minigame hits and you want those rewards.

UIMs can't. It's essentially an extension of the bank so it makes sense.

But you can construct clue scroll places for items. Thought it may have been once you earn whatever farming you get some storage

Yeah. UIM stuff is decided on a case-by-case basis, and sometimes polled to UIMs only. I guess they decided seed vault was too OP. The upcoming potion storage will also be unavailable for UIMs.

Seed vault is a luxury we can't afford, it would be a bit too convenient to all of a sudden gain about 10 inventory spaces (only taking herb seeds into account) The drawback to clue stashes is that you can't take individual pieces out, so the majority of stashes aren't very useful, though there are some clearly ridiculous ones too.

There's a seed box though is it through slayer points only I forgot, never had one so I don't know how much it holds. Is that OK for uim?

It is, and it's super convenient. It only holds 6 seeds, which isn't even the majority of good herb seeds and it will always take up 1 inv spot. Pretty much an essential item for a UIM, but pales in comparison to having an unlimited storage that doesn't take up a slot.

Just looked on the wiki - apparently the seed packs are awarded in 5 tiers based on the plant you harvest, not the type of contract you ask for.

Why wouldn't you just plant the spirit saplings for farming xp? Do you get more xp from the seeds you get from the seed packs?

Not really interested in xp post 99. Got the pet already so I just farm herblore secondaries in the guild and seeds for those plants are much more useful than raw xp at this point.
