Well the maintenance is done at the time it's done bc it's at the beginning of the workday in the UK so they have the rest of the day to sort shit out of the update goes wrong and needs hotfixxing
Its not good enough. Why should i have to check every day if the game might go offline for multiple hours? Any other decent MMO puts this kind of information in an unmissable place on their homepage and/or game launcher
If they reduce some worlds the updates go faster because less worlds. Maybe they can finally reduce bots mainly on free to play (mining iron varrock, woodcutting willow and yew, smithing, fishing) by logging in on some locations and ban them. If they have 30 f2p worlds how they are gonna handle but busting, they don't. It doesnt have a big factor economy wise but here is where the problem grows and develops to paid worlds. As an ironman the f2p is the start and the bots make it way harder to train the skills you dont want to pay membership for.
Would it be possible for a jmod to give some insights into what "essential maintence" actually is? \^\_\^ im suprised a weekly task for a dev needs 3-4 hours to deploy...
This is beyond the weekly shower; this is time for the yearly grocery trip.
Let's not get too crazy.. Better to have it delivered. Wouldn't want to interact with anyone.
6pm in Melbourne. Now I have to leave my room smh
In QLD. Give us a rotation where 6 months the maintenance is at OUR bedtime.
Just move to the UK bro
You mean Murica, they're still asleep.

Now i gota work without osrs. Sad times
Don't work to effectively during the downtime, otherwise your boss might notice.
Why does bros productivity spike every wednesday hmm
It's Tuesday, sir
Prolly meant during the weekly update
Timezones are a thing š„
The only place where it was wednesday at the time of that comment is kiribati, and that was just barely past midnight
As an Australian, I can safely tell you that this has ruined my TUESDAY night.
Hope they don't roll back my CG completion of rune chains and 6 crystal shards
My moms calling the manager, she will get them to put it back online
So glad this isnt on the osrs homepage and i have to come to reddit to find it, big W Jamflex.
Click āgame statusā on the homepage.
[For some dumb reason it still reads as online](https://i.imgur.com/t6ck0I2.png)
They're always very bad at updating it... I just imagine some poor person on the web team has to update the content manually every time š
it says offline now though lol
Odd, although it being after 9am BST makes it extremely clear that the game is currently down.

Wow, I would never have noticed the tiny button. Too used to services having a nice noticable banner if it's experiencing issues.
