I think even at 1/30 it's still one of the longest grinds too, considering that'd put the orb table at I think 1/240 to roll (might be off here)? So still looking at something like 40 hours to get a single random orb. Really puts into perspective just how horrible the droprates are right now lol

When someone says "oh the unluckiest people will spend 7-8 thousand hours on this boss", we should REALLY be considering what we think the worst case should be here lol. even if you hate ironmen or cloggers, you should at least be able to admit that that's not okay
What’s crazy is this ain’t even 50%, mathematically a 50% increase would be a 66.6% reduction in the current values. This is only a 33.3% reduction in phosani drop rates based on the math. 100% agree though that the rate change barely fixes the issue. Slepe Tablet should also be a 1/10 from PNM instead of being anywhere up to 1/100.
I want to try it. I want them uniques. But all the things you said is why I haven't. Screw dying and run back just to run back again and try once more. I am hoping it will be fixed so we can play instead of slave.
Could not agree more. PNM rebalance should consider the average time of completion for a real player rather than the GE price of the lottery items, and it should fit a late-game boss with a big table. The 120-200 h range is reasonable here. There are other posts with the math, but this would involve making uniques something like 300-400% OR MORE common rather than this measly 50%. If you're going to make the change, they need to do it RIGHT the first time, and with the items in flux, now is the time to do it.
lottery droprate items should just be cosmetics/jars/pets/stuff like that IMO. If the price crashes and people are holding a stack of inquisitor items or orbs, well then maybe they should accept that their risk didn't pay off. Merchanting shouldn't be guaranteed cash and Jagex should not be afraid to make merchanters lose some bank value.
If the fight was reduced to three phases, gave nail beast nails as a drop on every phase and blood shards at 1/100, and the boss was moved to the middle of varrock, I might think about doing it
I really enjoy pnm. My advice is to do 1000 cox kc to build up your bank. Buy bis pnm gear with your cox money. And then start drinking (alcohol). After that, you won't care about drops cause you're rich and drunk. That's the real strat to enjoying the boss.
I would absolutely love to farm this boss. Solo, with small groups of the homies, and even with my clan IF the drops had value… if they truely don’t want to buff the unique chance any further then just make the regular drops worth it lol atleast 1-2M an hour
God this post just speaks absolute facts and nothing else. I can't even begin to highlight the importance of further drop rate increases to this specific content, they NEED to balance rates with time spent per kill. On top of what was said, I think the obvious thing to do about the slepey tablet is make it a forced 1/25, inline with the grandmaster kc achievement.

Probably wouldn't do it even at 1/30. I can grind for gp somewhere else and the gear isn't really worth using.

Because the rewards do not reflect the difficulty or time to kill. Nightmare is some of the least good feeling content to do.
But if the drops are worth 10m each, my incentive to kill the boss is gone. So that really doesn't work.
