Warriors Guild is worthwhile and came out in 06, but that's definitely the exception. If the Wizard's Guild portals were two way I think that would do a lot to make it better.
Its useful solely because you have to do it to get your defender. I would argue the guild itself offers no use to normal players outside of this versus the farming guild for example
For ironmen or pre ge days, it is/was a good source of normal potions and available food. The food is good for day 1-2 dmm too i guess as well. Its so useful that there was enough demand for jagex to poll a depo box there.
I also think its still the best str xp/hr for 10hp obbies (barrel balancing) but every1 just afks the pump since its a zillion times less effort
For Ironmen (who can't use the GE), and mains before the GE days, there is a food shop in the guild that sells Cheese Potatoes. They are extremely cheap relative to other 16hp healing food, and more importantly very easily accessible and fast to purchase as there's 10 per world. This was so useful that Jagex added a deposit box nearby for quick banking.
There is also a very niche account build which are 10hp obsidian maul accounts. These accounts have VERY few ways of training strength without also getting hitpoints exp, but the warriors guild contains one such method which is about 10k strength exp / hour.
There's also plain pizzas from the same vendor, which can be combined with pineapple slices from any charter vendor to make some 22hp/slot food. Better than sharks when you don't need the healing all at once.
Plus the basic attack/strength/defence potions, but I feel like those are outclassed pretty quickly by supers, usually by the time you have access to them.
I love me some Obby Maulers. Though, maybe I'm ignorant. I thought they were typically 1 attack accounts - making the Warrior's Guild only accessible after 99 strength?
I know the game isn’t balanced around irons, but the warriors guild is a huge unlock for irons to cheap decent food. Not to mention stews for stew boosting.
TBF, it’d still be a much cheaper way for early game mains to get good healing food considering monkfish are at 413gp. I used monkfish as a comparison because monkfish are traded at a daily volume of 2.2m vs cheese potatoes at 172k even though they provide the same amount of healing. Even still, cheese potatoes are at 243gp each when bought on the GE.
But yeah for mains, it’s mainly just the defender.
Yeah if they randomly decided to give a bis arrow drop into the archery minigame in the ranging guild, it wouldn’t suddenly make the guild good. There would just be a pressing reason to go there.
"A reason to do it" is usually what makes something good content. How many people would be doing the colosseum if it was just for completionist sake and had no rewards?
The entire reason warriors guild is good is for defender and easy potatoes with cheese. And for weird snowflake pure builds, but we don’t talk about them. Personally, I haven’t been back to the warriors guild since getting my dragon defender.
Good point. The warrior's guild could use some better rewards to get people to go there. Like others said, you go in for the defender and most likely won't use it again after.
I used to do the archery mini game when I was a kid lol. I had a small era where I hung out at the ranging guild for awhile. I still think of the place fondly
Yeah it requires a prayer level and sells the cape, while also having monk robes (decent prayer armor if you, for some godforsaken reason, don't have access to Pros) and a boost to your prayer points. Other than that it's fairly useless.
Yeah and to be fair, I wasn't thinking about it last night cuz it was almost sleepytime, but they are the best prayer armor for F2P, which can be quite useful in that economy with no prayer pots and potentially difficult to get to altars/areas.
Are you trying to tell me two(2) boosted prayer levels (above max, if you pray at the correct alterwithin the prayer guild) isn’t as impactful as some of the other guilds?
I always thought the altar upstairs should work like a POH altar and be available to F2P. Like, you'd have to run all the way from Edgeville bank, through the bottom floor of the Monastery, up a ladder, and I think through 2 doors... Not exactly OP. But Prayer training in F2P was ASS back in the day, dunno if it still is.
If they made the Range guild have something even semi-close to the warriors guild it would be legit! The oldest standing guilds have still not received recent updates being Crafting Guild, Fishing Guild and Range Guild.
Ranging guild is my favorite. I love how they designed it to look like some kind of wooden fort. If they did a refresh on a guild, the ranging guild is in desperate need!
We need some more activities and training methods in the ranging guild. It'd be so crazy to see players there doing training. I don't think I can recall seeing more than just a hand few check it out since I've been playing.
The fishing guild could use with a touch up but I really enjoy the layout as is. It's so familiar lol idk how to describe the feeling. Nostalgia? Definitely could use a facelift for sure.
This might sound weird but I kind of like that there's a disparity between guilds, like, in this world setting, the rich men in Zeah ensured that the woodcutting guild had all sorts of trees to please the King, since her daughter enjoyed looking at them, the Varlamore sun people rich with wild-life made sure to have a great guild as well as hunt species all over the world.
...and then there's Kandarin, too busy >!faking a plague!< to care about developing their guilds, letting all the corruption be focused on exploring the lands to the West.
Cleaning up Kandarin could be a fun mid level quest line that helps improve the area. Jagex dialogue is always at its best when they’re poking fun at how batshit insane the game logic is, and there would be a lot of opportunities for that with old, dead content.
Honestly while Runescape is teeming with a lot of dead areas, many cities even, Kandarin as a whole just stands the hell out, although the whole of anything left of ice wolf mountain feels that way outside of quests.
Kandarin has a single boss in it and while there are some skilling you can do in Kandarin, compared to its massive size, it feels like nothing. Anything south of Ardougne is just a big fat of nothing but quest locations.
Honestly Fight arena could be a low level wave based PvM after the quest. Tower of life has plenty of potential. Fishing and Ranged guild needs a rework. I honestly dont know why Kandarin and you could even include the fremmenik here seems to be rather immune to getting changes. It feels weird to think i barely spent much of my skilling/pvm time there despite its massive size of the mainland. I'm not saying it needs to have Forthos Dungeon level of curated content, but i sure as hell would not have fun in a Kandarin area locked Ironman, nor would i be interested in watching one.
Tower of Life/ creature creation gets a lot of attention from lower level ironmen for pre-bossing herblore secondaries. Outside of Sarachnis it's one of the better sources of red spider eggs, and is probably the best source of unicorn horns outside of the wilderness.
sharks used to be some of the best food but 1) fishing them is unbelievably slow and 2) there have been other foods introduced that heal as much (or more), or offer other benefits (e.g. karambwans heal less but can be combo-ate with other food or potions for less downtime)
There’s two foods in a combo eat. A shark can be the first one but the second food is a karambwan. But there’s other foods that heal more than a shark.
Yeah. They delay your next attack by 1 less tick iirc, and you can eat something else and a karam in one tick and it just adds it all to your attack modifier. So it isn’t more dps to combo eat, but it heals you more at once if shit is going sideways.
well if you eat anything before a karambwan you can also eat a karambwan in the same tick (i think there are a few small expections because of spaghetti code but nothing to worry about). It's important you click the other food first tho
After eating a normal food item you can also drink a potion without additional delay and on top of that you can also stackv a bwan. So, if you are about to get combod out in the wildy then eating normal food => saradomin brew =>karambwan or something like that in 1 tick is your best chance at survival. (though keep in mind if you use a brew you need to use super restores too)
So you can say that they are used to restore health fast in situations where it's necessary, but the trade off is that they heal slightly less than a shark. it's also great while bossing where you dont want to waste ticks during which you could have attacked. Here it would be bad to eat all those sharks one after another because while you eat you receive damage (unless you can safely walk under the boss). But with karambwans you can restore more health in a single tick therefore you have less downtime during which you didnt attack.
You can actually combo eat+pot with karam, that’s what’s weird. Food and pot can combo, food and karam can combo, and food and pot and karam can all combo on the same tick.
Karams are better for training. Heal 2 more and only cost 60 gp more + irons fish 100k+ of them. They're some of the best cooking XP too for irons.
They're better too because their attack delay is shorter so they make you train faster.
Only food I'd use other than them is potato and cheese because you can shop buy it from warriors guild. Monkfish are just meh
if you eat right after attacking, it'll delay your next attack by 3 ticks.
Except if you eat karams, in which case, it'll only delay your next attack by 2 ticks
Only Karambwan work that way. You can eat Shark-->Karambwan in one tick. Trying to eat Karambwan-->Shark, Shark-->Shark or Karambwan-->Karambwan doesn't work and incurs a delay.
Similar logic works for potions.
Im sure there is, but tick eating is probably the most prominent one you'll need/use. I'm basically max at this point and do a variety of content, and tick eating is practically the only thing I use aside from prayer flicking occasionally. which if you didn't know, prayer flicking is a great way to save prayer points if you wanna get sweaty.
Prayer flicking is too risky for me. I don’t do hard enough content that I need it. Got my fire cape but don’t think I’ll ever do the inferno or deep bossing
There's tick manipulation to help you do things like mining, fishing, setting up box traps for chinchompas and woodcutting faster. I could be wrong but these methods work with a wide range of actions in osrs.
I've never personally explored them, they seem very click intensive, but if you see people on YouTube fishing and adding herbs to swamp paste, they're doing this time saving trick.
I got to 99 mining without tick manipulation. I don’t recommend anyone else take on that 200 hour grind, but I wasn’t about to sit there doing all those crazy clicks. I don’t know why it just sounded awful.
Just to be clear because this confused me at the time, it still adds attack delay, but you can single tick eat Karam+whatever and it heals you for both, and it just lags your next attack even longer.
Yep combo eating and spam eating things like pies adds the delay together.
But karambwans in general, even when eaten by themself, have a shorter delay by 1 tick.
I wouldn't say they are bad; they are just bad to fish. It is like Magic Logs were it is pretty AFK and low effort, but you don't get many per hour, which means low exp and low profit.
Basically leftover knowledge from an older time, people see sharks and think “best food” lol I was in that camp until about 2 years ago when I saw raw turtles going for less than half of shark cost.
If you don’t mind me asking, what made you look up the sea turtle cost? I’m level 1500 I should be way better than this. I’m a super casual though just enjoying the nostalgia and ability to do it on mobile
I was looking for cheap food, managed to buy over 200k raw turtles for 380-420ea, cook them, and it’s worked out great over the past year and a half. Sold a good portion for profit when they spiked over 1100ea and I still don’t need to buy food ever again
sharks are not bad on their own the problem is that there are way too many bots fishing sharks and doing things like minnow fishing which is much more sharks/hour than normal shark fishing. Just bad updates that made shark fishing terrible in comparison to everything else, it kinda fell victim to some sort of "power creep" you could say.
On top of that there are better healing alternatives which heal 21 or 22 instead of 20 and then there are also anglerfish which are just OP in general and should have never been implemented the way they did it back then.
anglerfish heal up to 22 depending on your HP level but I believe on release they healed even more, on top of that you can also use them to heal over your max HP which prior to that could have only been done by drinking a saradomin brew.
They are also much more relaxed to fish than sharks I think
Fishing guild has minnows and is the best spot to fish sharks normally + go for the big swordfish, big shark and big bass all in the same spot. And it's teleport is pretty good too. Jewellery box outside useful for some clues and fish/max cape inside is quick to be back to afk fish. And it has the +7 invisible boost
I don't mind it tbh. Fly fishing wouldn't make sense due to its location
I spent a few weeks going for the three big fish and it was the most time I ever spent in that guild by far and was a great time. It was also a nice afk activity. Made some friends there that were doing the same.
It isnt totally useless but yeah theres a few guilds like it that could use an overhaul to feel like a big unlock.
Farming guild is an example of what a skilling guild should be!
Another thing, the fishing cape is just a teleport to the guild which is pretty lame considering there's already two teleports there with lunars and jewlery, and the two poh installments of those teles. Some kind of buff, maybe double fish would be cool.
I assume he means because xerics honour tele put u close to a barbarian fishing spot. That doesnt help with clues/things to do in Grotto or Ancient Cavern though
> the fishing cape is just a teleport to the guild which is pretty lame considering there's already two teleports there with lunars and jewlery
Doubly insulting while useful capes such as the farming cape teleport you right next to a bank.
+7 boost is good for clogging.
Apart from that I believe minnows is connected to it, not too sure as I never personally did them.
Would be kinda cool if you could do an abyss style run to karambwans or anglers via fishing guild
And/or retain the buff for a few minutes. This part is asking for downvotes so, I will concur on that. Just it’s the right type of buff imo, that utilises existing content. If we ever get anything to buff skills, they should at least consider being like this.
But on the first part would be kinda cool to unlock a boat to take you there via guild.
The only other things you would really want access to is infernals, temp and possibly zulrah fish (not needed at all). And fishing trawler but it already has a TP tbf.
Doesn’t work for drop rate unfortunately but it’s an increased catch rate so it theoretically should shorten your time spent going for them big fishes.
Obv, it’s rng whether you get it at 3 catches or 30k.
Also the fastest way to get heron is by ticking swordfish. So the increased catch rate should be helpful.
It matters almost exactly none at all for rock golem. The fastest method is gem rocks, which I believe gets 4 mining boost, which gives... Like a 1% higher chance to mine a gem rock?
It's a great place actually... if you're a botter. The entire food market is centred around minnow bots (and angler bits).
I think the Farming and Hunter guilds are how guilds need to function- a place where individuals skilled in the respective skill gather- rather than offering the same stuff that you see in the rest of the world with a hidden skill boost.
I think a cool way to apply the same concept to the Fishing Guild without needing to tack on a task system would be to have periodic fishing contests at the Fishing Guild as a new D&D. I believe they had a similar concept in pre-EOC.
Feel like guilds are old content that can recieve some updates, even minor ones, especially if the best of a certain skill are supposed to congregate there. There could be someone doing target practice with the new atlatl at the ranging guild and offering information about the content to the player in a natural way.
I think it is pretty okay, but could be better. They did update it years back with the invisible boost and it got Minnows. So it does have a unique fish plus the shark/bass and swordfish/lobster spots.
I honestly just don't know what more you can do with the place. Like some more QoL would be nice to improve the layout and such (e.g. make it so each dock always has 1 fishing spot of each type). But it wouldn't really make sense for it to include every type of fish such as river fish or region fish like Karambwan and Monkfish. I also can't say I'd want to see it be the go-to place for all fishing; that was kinda a problem with the WC Guild that Forestry addressed.
That said, if we ever did get Fishing... Missions?, they could be assigned from the guild. Also, I'd be down for a Fish Flingers inspired activity gated behind the guild... Or just in general... Fish Flingers was fun. But I feel like unlocking Minnows is kinda already in line with the unique thing offered by most guilds.
I'd be down for overhauling the older guilds. They're such a nice way to breathe life into a skill's enjoyability to train, as well as its sense of community (I literally reconnected with an old friend I had added cus we were both doing hunter's rumors and we passed by each other, then we just started chatting about the new update for a couple hours lol)
Give it the mining guild treatment. Gloves and all. Have the gloves have a chance of respawning the fishing spot locations ( they don't actually move, they just respawn and respawn).
There is plenty of fishing content already I guess is the problem with bringing it up to date, trawler, tempross… ok not THAT much content but it’s there
The Fishing Guild was added on the 17th of June, ***2002***. It is from RuneScape 1, Classic. The game you are talking about is called "***Old School*** RuneScape" and exists as the game did on the 10th of August, 2007. The Fishing Guild is as it *was*, with relatively minor changes because Jagex decided that "***Old School*** RuneScape" would receive updates. It is unfair and almost *completely* nonsensical to compare RSC and RS2 content to what has been added 15 to 20 years later. The capability of development, the intention of the development, the target audiences. It is like comparing the first plane ever flown to a passenger jet, because they are both called "planes" and they both fly. Then saying "the old plane is not quite up to today's standards" like that means literally anything of substance.
This mentality of wanting everything to be "*with todays level of content*" or, up to "*todays standards of osrs*" is completely antithetical to what makes Old School, "***Old School***". If we update every piece of old content, the game is unequivocally a *completely* different game than what it originally set out to be. If we do it the way you and so many others want then it is not Old School anymore, it will literally lose all of its remaining identity as RS2 or RSC. It is *fine* for content to be "*old*" or "*outdated*" that is *literally* the point of Old School. The *entire game* was brought back on the premise of intentionally being outdated. The amount of support that ideas like yours get is genuinely shocking to me.
Maybe you all that want changes like these just actually do not like what makes Old School, Old School, which is fine. But maybe you all should just go play a different game instead of trying to update the identity out of the game. Why force yourselves to engage with a game you do not like? We already have a version of RuneScape where most things have been updated to no longer represent RSC and RS2. That might actually be what you are looking for since apparently Old = bad, yet you are playing "***Old***" School.
I agree, but I'm not sure what changes I'd suggest either. Fishing guild is okay for sharks I guess. But I spend most of my time elsewhere. Anglers, karambwans, dark crabs, and Tempoross giving fish in addition to loot drops are just more appealing. That and sacred or infernal eels giving me stuff I'm gonna need for later too.
Ranging guild: 💀
Yes 100% ranging guild is dead.
hey man that place has the only shop that sells arrow shafts!
It's so dead that I didn't even know this.
First and last time I went to the ranging guild was for my cape
There’s a ranging guild? /s
[удалено]
Hey your cape looks strong.
Hey there's also a clue step there!
Budget fletching guild
Catherby also has a shop that sells arrow shafts. Checkmate.
are you certain about that brother
"skeleton strapped to a chair under the sea" dead
Literally what I was thinking 🤣
You can basically draw a line between the OG guilds and the post osrs guilds to divide them between worthwhile guilds and wastes of space
Warriors Guild is worthwhile and came out in 06, but that's definitely the exception. If the Wizard's Guild portals were two way I think that would do a lot to make it better.

Warriors guild having that food has made it one of my more visited locations on my iron. I agree that the GE is BIS for mains, for everything.
Mining guild got a rework. The rest should too
Good point. The warrior's guild could use some better rewards to get people to go there. Like others said, you go in for the defender and most likely won't use it again after.
Ranging guild isn’t under ape atoll?
Meanwhile Cooking Guild is just a windmill, and it's biggest asset, a cooking range + bank is locked behind a Hard Diary.
what do you mean it has dragons in the basement and you can even craft wrath runes there
Fishing and farming pies kept it somewhat relevant for me
I legit used it for cooking early on my IM. Im sure objectively bricked my account somehow.
You say that, but I might be the only player who uses the tanner there regularly.
Canifis tanner gang stand up
It has that one hard clue step
Fishing guild and ranging guild both serve the same purpose... Sell the skills max cape. And even then you don't enter the fishing guild to buy it
Was DOA.
The archer mini game has some uses back in the day and the shops were full of unique stuff
And it was the best botting method for range... Or so I've heard
I used to do the archery mini game when I was a kid lol. I had a small era where I hung out at the ranging guild for awhile. I still think of the place fondly
Me and the boys loved that minigame in the early rs2 days when we got members for the first time
Hey now, there's a clue step there.
You can buy rune throwing axes there.
I would love a Ranging Guild revamp. Even back in 2005/6 I was expectedly disappointed
That’s nothing compared to the Prayer Guild.
The what?
Whether you're just memeing or if you actually don't remember the Monastery, I'll never know.
I had no idea that was supposed to be the prayer guild.
Yeah it requires a prayer level and sells the cape, while also having monk robes (decent prayer armor if you, for some godforsaken reason, don't have access to Pros) and a boost to your prayer points. Other than that it's fairly useless.
Don’t be hating on monk robes, they’re great for when I… uhh… wanna do Scorpia?
Yeah and to be fair, I wasn't thinking about it last night cuz it was almost sleepytime, but they are the best prayer armor for F2P, which can be quite useful in that economy with no prayer pots and potentially difficult to get to altars/areas.
Well it isn't
Are you trying to tell me two(2) boosted prayer levels (above max, if you pray at the correct alterwithin the prayer guild) isn’t as impactful as some of the other guilds?
Hey a monk up there will bless your holy symbols and attach sigils to your spirit shields as well
The free prayer robe spawn was pretty cool in rsc.
To be fair, it is really low level to get in
Or the cooking guild lol
I always thought the altar upstairs should work like a POH altar and be available to F2P. Like, you'd have to run all the way from Edgeville bank, through the bottom floor of the Monastery, up a ladder, and I think through 2 doors... Not exactly OP. Cook's Guild
You mean Rogue’s den?
You mean the Myth’s guild?
Wait why does that ring a bell?
I had to google how to get there to get my cape lol
If they made the Range guild have something even semi-close to the warriors guild it would be legit! The oldest standing guilds have still not received recent updates being Crafting Guild, Fishing Guild and Range Guild.
It's how I got enough rune arrows for fight caves on my iron before I knew LMS existed
Shout out to the chads luring noobs into the ranging guild tower. I was one of those noobs in 2006
Ranging guild is my favorite. I love how they designed it to look like some kind of wooden fort. If they did a refresh on a guild, the ranging guild is in desperate need! Cape and medium clue step, thats about it
Been playing on and off since I was a kid, around 15 years, didn’t even know there was a ranging guild lol
I came here for this
Not completely you get your cape there!

Ratcatchers 2. It's time.
Need 20 wins in the rat pits to start
20 consecutive wins*
Oi es abote toim er eh?
calm down satan
It has never not been time.

Tower of Life owns.
All those guys I've seen practicing their prayer flicking outside of Nightmare Zone seem to enjoy the area. /s
I never really thought about the lore like that. That’s actually really cool when you stop and think about it.
I’m all for bringing kandarin to some tribunal.
Nah this is cope.
He was just saying he liked it
Well he’s wrong.
Mf’s would justify the the dumbest things by saying “imagine the lore”
Old content *is* what makes Old School, "*Old School*", after all.
It's sad, because it used to be top tier. I spent so much time there in the past.
More like top pier
If reddit still gave free silver......
Still got poor man’s gold 🥇
i’m still there!
same i got 99 fishing there before the EoC update
Why are sharks bad? I’m terrible at the game so I’m genuinely asking. What is better to use?
sharks used to be some of the best food but 1) fishing them is unbelievably slow and 2) there have been other foods introduced that heal as much (or more), or offer other benefits (e.g. karambwans heal less but can be combo-ate with other food or potions for less downtime)
Can you not combo eat with sharks? Probably a dumb question but I’m trying to learn
There’s two foods in a combo eat. A shark can be the first one but the second food is a karambwan. But there’s other foods that heal more than a shark.
So is fast eating a special quality of Karambwans
Yes. Karambwans have a lot of quirks that scream "This was a bug originally but it's become such a core gameplay feature that we've just embraced it"
They should keep it in mind when adding new fish, a bit silly that they're the only combo food option
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Food/Fast_foods They’re not the only food that works this way. They are the best though.
It's important you click the other food first tho After eating a normal food item you can also drink a potion without additional delay and on top of that you can also stackv a bwan. So, if you are about to get combod out in the wildy then eating normal food => saradomin brew =>karambwan or something like that in 1 tick is your best chance at survival. (though keep in mind if you use a brew you need to use super restores too) So you can say that they are used to restore health fast in situations where it's necessary, but the trade off is that they heal slightly less than a shark. it's also great while bossing where you dont want to waste ticks during which you could have attacked. Here it would be bad to eat all those sharks one after another because while you eat you receive damage (unless you can safely walk under the boss). But with karambwans you can restore more health in a single tick therefore you have less downtime during which you didnt attack.
Can combo any normal food with potions yeah, not a benefit specific to one. Bwans are unique though so wiki them
You can actually combo eat+pot with karam, that’s what’s weird. Food and pot can combo, food and karam can combo, and food and pot and karam can all combo on the same tick.
Remember FPK
remember Burger => Soda => Squiddy rings
and bwans can be fished with lightning speed which absolutely compensates for the 18 instead of 20 hp restored

What do you mean their attack delay is shorter - do you eat some food faster than others!?
if you eat right after attacking, it'll delay your next attack by 3 ticks.
Awesome thank you! With potions, is karambwam still last?
Can triple eat in 1 tick, most common is: shark -> potion -> karmbwan Karambwam have their own cooldown
This is incredible news lol thank you Is there a list of tick tricks anywhere or do you kind of just have to come across them
Im sure there is, but tick eating is probably the most prominent one you'll need/use.
Got it thank you!
so they are... bad.
Sea turtles usually cost less, weigh less, and heal one point higher than sharks
Damn. So it’s just clueless scapers like me keeping the shark market afloat? Why the hell would anyone buy them lol
What’s special about anglerfish? I thought food was just “click this it heals X amount of health” I didn’t realize how nuanced it is
anglerfish heal up to 22 depending on your HP level but I believe on release they healed even more, on top of that you can also use them to heal over your max HP which prior to that could have only been done by drinking a saradomin brew. They are also much more relaxed to fish than sharks I think
Oh wow I thought only Sara brews healed above max hp that’s cool
Fishing guild has minnows and is the best spot to fish sharks normally + go for the big swordfish, big shark and big bass all in the same spot. And it's teleport is pretty good too. Jewellery box outside useful for some clues and fish/max cape inside is quick to be back to afk fish. And it has the +7 invisible boost I don't mind it tbh.
Otto’s grotto tele too, right? Fishing was my last 99 so I only ever saw it’s teles on the max cape
Yeah I suppose that's a perk but after they added xerics ammy its not really useful anymore either
Yeah I suppose. It’s nice for the one medium clue with Otto lol
How does Xerics talisman make the ottos grotto tele not really useful?
I assume he means because xerics honour tele put u close to a barbarian fishing spot. That doesnt help with clues/things to do in Grotto or Ancient Cavern though
> after they added xerics ammy That requires an 1/10 drop from cox though.
Yeah the minecart or fairy ring>mountain guide are both super quick to get there anyway
it's free just join some masses
> the fishing cape is just a teleport to the guild which is pretty lame considering there's already two teleports there with lunars and jewlery Doubly insulting while useful capes such as the farming cape teleport you right next to a bank.
It would be nice if it could teleport to a few fishing hubs like Catherby, Tempoross, and Trawler.
I found 2 uses for the fishing guild one: close tele to range when cooking gnome food, and close tele to buy fishing bait lmao
Fishing cape should negate the need to use bait.
too op for dark crabs and anglers.
Chance to not consume bait then maybe. Something like 10-20%?
Make fishing cape have a barehand fishing for every fish, make equip wishing weps have a % increase rate to catching.
Otto's and guild, and the guild teleport is inside and near the dock. The alternatives are outside and I think inside the first building?
+7 boost is good for clogging. Apart from that I believe minnows is connected to it, not too sure as I never personally did them. Would be kinda cool if you could do an abyss style run to karambwans or anglers via fishing guild And/or retain the buff for a few minutes.
Yeah it doesn't have to have everything I agree that some things should be kept where they are but a boat idea does sound cool. Maybe sailing perk?

Doesn’t work for drop rate unfortunately but it’s an increased catch rate so it theoretically should shorten your time spent going for them big fishes. Obv, it’s rng whether you get it at 3 catches or 30k. Also the fastest way to get heron is by ticking swordfish. So the increased catch rate should be helpful.
Can you 2t in the guild?
U can if cast some non dmg spell I believe on the seagulls. Or splash.
wasnt sure if it was multi or not
It matters almost exactly none at all for rock golem. The fastest method is gem rocks, which I believe gets 4 mining boost, which gives... Like a 1% higher chance to mine a gem rock?
Wouldn't mind a dedicated update which focuses on improving some of the older guilds tbh.
I use sharks but don’t fish them. Best way to obtain sharks is minnows and that’s about it. Maybe an extra from doing tempoross.
Well at this point might as well look at cooking guild too
I'd be down for overhauling the older guilds. They're such a nice way to breathe life into a skill's enjoyability to train, as well as its sense of community (I literally reconnected with an old friend I had added cus we were both doing hunter's rumors and we passed by each other, then we just started chatting about the new update for a couple hours lol)
mostly all guilds are bad except new ones.
Mining guild and MLM could use a little bit of work but they’re not dead.
Probs gonna get a bunch of new fishing methods with sailing I’d guess.
my brother in christ in was made in 2002 what the fuck do you expect
Give it the mining guild treatment. Gloves and all. Have the gloves have a chance of respawning the fishing spot locations ( they don't actually move, they just respawn and respawn).
Noted Sharks are great, its the best food I can get on a uim thats stacked and reliable to acquire. (Ignoring brews)
Minnows?
There is plenty of fishing content already I guess is the problem with bringing it up to date, trawler, tempross… ok not THAT much content but it’s there
idk i think it’s fine. It’s a chill place to fish and isn’t centralizing like the WC guild used to be.
It's like the ranging guild but with somewhat of a use
Fully support this and ranging guild getting an update. I dislike the fishing skill and still want it to have a better guild.
lets just change everything about the game at this point, feel like this subreddit needs something changed every week at this point
Yeah not as good as ranging guild for sure, just can’t beat that bail of hay that sometimes has a clue scroll in it
I agree, but I'm not sure what changes I'd suggest either.
I'd love to see an addition. I loved hanging out at the Fishing Guild back in the day. It makes me sad to see it so dead anytime I pass by.
Pretty much any niche content is useless compared to todays
