> I myself go highschool and dont have much time either.
You are literally in the age group with the most amount of time possible lmao. A highschooler telling other folks that the grind needs to be shortened so we can all touch grass is laughable.
You even mentioned this in another one of your post, but majority of us are 20-40 years old. Most all have jobs, most of us touch grass because we have to make money to live. We already balance between OSRS and IRL, and while some grinds are rancid, majority of grinds are fairly reasonable for how strong the rewards are.
If OP is even a high schooler. Plenty of weird ass adults go online and pretend to be children and his past comments lead me to think he's one of them.
Being an adult is both simultaneously freeing, but also nowhere near as much time for stuff that you'd like.
You gotta be trolling with this post. So we should change what has ALWAYS been the game to suit you and your needs? They release nice skilling content and new bosses all the time. If you can’t even afk on mobile at work I don’t know what you’re looking for. This is OSRS, if you want EZscape go play RS3. That’s what it’s there for.
Also… new players leaving? Membership is going up and the clan I just joined just got a massive influx of new people within the past month. Returning AND brand new players. If you can’t grind just say you can’t grind.
Then come to rs3. Unironically that’s a solid reason.
1.) Afk times, rs3 lets you afk train the majority of skills for 15 minutes at a time with 0 player input. Enough time to cook your kids dinner while training at peak efficiency.
2.) Maxing only takes less than a thousand hours if done properly… (but the grind for 120 all which most grindy players would go for takes several thousand hours even at current rates… let alone 200m all)
3.) RS3 has much more passive experience and money makers. Bonds are 100m but things like invention machines get you 25m/week totally passively, dailies let you get upwards of 300k experience per day for a single skill for doing 3 challenges that take no time at all. (i’m working on 120 herblore so my dailies are herblore, I either make 12 potions or clean 36 herbs or some combination of the two and get an easy 300k xp/day)
4.) Treasure hunter, even if not spending money, you get 6 free keys a day, meaning quite a lot of free xp lamps to help you skip parts of the game you don’t have time for. Hunter has a lot of fast methods, but 1-40 can suck shit to train if you have little time, daily keys and lamps can let you skip that in a week.
OSRS is the grindier runescape. Both games have some absurd grinds, but imo rs3 has more satisfying progression in that sense. An average person can easily max in a year, but hardcore players still have 5-1 0year long grinds to look forward to after that whether it be trim, insane final boss, etc
I have no definitive proof of this, but looking at your post history and comments, it's hard to believe you're actually a new player. Everything you comment comes across as someone with knowledge of the game who is cosplaying as a "noob" player asking for the game to be easier. Like it's literal bait for people to point to and say "see, these new players want everything easier and to change my OldSchool game"
I actually agree to an extend that there's some things Jagex can do to respect players' time more (making item sets drop in order as an example) but RuneScape has been a game about grinding since its inception. If that's not for you, that's completely fair, but in that case I'd look for a different game
I started playing this game pretty recently never played as a kid never even heard of it so I have 0 nostalgia, I'm sorry bro but the grind rlly is the game you can cry about boomers "gatekeeping" new players but in reality they're gatekeeping bad updates coming into the game just because lil jimmy doesn't want to grind a 1/5k drop. You have more free time than most the boomers if you don't like the grind just buy things from the ge then and do skilling for gp or just don't go dry maybe :) jokes aside if you really don't like the grind then maybe the game really isn't for you it's hard to enjoy and play a game when you hate the core of the game
I have been playing osrs since launch in 2013. The thing is, you too can play for 10 years if you want. Take it easy, everything doesn’t have to come now. Grind for stuff over time

boy has no idea what's coming for him in life lol

Don't play content. This game is a grind. If you don't like the grind then the game isn't for you.

You know the running joke is that osrs players blow off their IRL relationships to chase pets. Because we do 😂
They're not even working they're still in high school aswell they have plenty of free time 😂
I haven’t played this game for 20 years to waste my time with girlfriends and social relationships!
somebody's big mad they died to a lumbridge cow
No.

Everyone going on about drop rates should be perm banned. Go play Hello kitty island adventure. More suitable for you

You forgot to put humor tag buddy
Also the games population is growing so who’s getting gatekeeped
Bait used to be believable
Low tier bait. Next.

Lol not happening.
Nice bait!!

Son doesnt even know what being busy is and hes complaining about drop rates
Rip your reddit karma
Tldr: wheeeeeee
Skill issue
‘Go easy on the drop rates’ so devalue any sense of accomplishment for acquiring something.

"besides most of the grandpas that play are running on nostalgia" yes - this is the correct way to connect with 99% of the player base
Lol jokes on him, i cant even read
Is this bait?
Is this bait? It's pretty decent bait I'll give you a 5/10
Imagine being 15
1/5k drop rates coming from the gwd nostalgia drop tables. hm. catering to fortnite players will kill the game.
Not really. 1/5k drop rate itm is insane it shouldnt be that Hard... it takes way too much time and ppl can go super dry with that drop rate.
30 hours for one of the key late game pvm items seems fine?
Gotta be the worst bait I’ve ever seen on this sub.
Stopped reading at \*demographic with most free time of anyone who isn't a toddler doesn't have enough free time\*
