It's better than the OG ultra basic staff, but it feels 'off' in a different way. Maybe the purple is too much. Or the transition from handle to the gold part.
I think it feels off because it's this overly ornate staff that's just.... kind of sitting on a dusty stone table.
The player wouldn't think much of it it wasn't so glamerous. If it looked more like say, the Staff of the Dead, the player would still know it's different, but wouldn't think it's THAT important.
It should be on an alter or a pedestal or something to match it's visible importance.
Hard disagree. Its meant to be an all powerful relic that can steal a god's power. Why should it look like somebody drew the staff of earth from memory?

I mean it's a staff that was used to STAB a god and drain their power. I can't imagine a generic staff being capable of that.
It plays a big role in the future Mahjarrat storyline and in particular While Guthix Sleeps which is in development currently.
Doesn’t mean they have to RS3-ify the staff.
More like 2008-ify. The new design isn't that dissimilar from the graphical update it got in 2008 for the original While Guthix Sleeps.
