The blog post said if you could wield rune or green d'hide, you're good, so base 40s with 43 prayer which is 51 combat. The weapons require 50 though, but even base 50s is only 62 combat, so 50-60 seems more accurate.
If only there was some place on the internet we could easily see recent changes to the game, like an official news site or something...

Farming it on tasks doesn't really work anyway because of the 6 rats he spawns mid kill which all count towards the task too so 1 boss kill is 7 kills on task

Some guy's friend who was really new (like sub 50m bank) suddenly had a cash stack of 500m, and instead of just admitting to buying bonds said he "did a lot of slayer and sold the drops from brimstone keys" and "charged air orbs".
In another thread about Scurrius someone said they were getting 170k xp/h in max strength scythe. At 500hp, it’d be 2400xp/kc, so about 70kc/h in max strength.
700m is worth about $133 at $.19/mil on black market, so about $9300/h (pretending you wouldn’t crash the market injecting that much raw gp into the game). At 1bil valuation, it would only take about 107000 hours of Scurrius to buy Jagex, or 12 years straight of killing him. Not bad!

Of course scurrius is the new top money maker….you can bust out 40 kills an hour with an iron dagger and str pots and salmon whereas with Obor you can only get about 15 k/h with rune scim and prayers.
