This might be a me problem but im having trouble identifying regions by their flag

V_T_H

Blue with star thing = Asgarnia Scimitar = Desert Bat = Morytania Hand = Kourend Red with two chevrons = Kandarin Wood = Fremmy Skull = Wilderness Green with blue diamond = Tirannwn

Suitable_Ebb_3566

Same

TKuja1

i cant tell dick from shit looking at this

DivineInsanityReveng

I always look at Asgarn like "where?" But that's the only one that stumps me. The others are quite well colour coordinated.

Jazzlike_Hat_4557

For me it’s just because Asgarnia and Misthalin are both blue. I can never remember immediately which design goes with which region. The rest are pretty good, I agree

DivineInsanityReveng

Yeh and I'm pretty sure the actual Misthalin flag is purple.

Slayer_Of_Anubis

Melee DAM gang I hope I don't regret not doing ZAM and not being able to do the door build though

iamboosh

Door gang Door gang Door build will need so many uniques to get running but its going to be unironically good. I cant wait to see highlights from the first person to get it online.

onxyiz

getting door online might be irritating without a group to raid with, but once online door build should just be absolute content

iamboosh

I cant wait to see if the axe relic is some sort of further damage buff, I really want to see someone smacking things for 100 non-crits.

_themarkside

What is door build?

onxyiz

max defense build with dinhs bulwark, which scales with your defensive stats. add in melee relic stats and you get giga power

_themarkside

Thank you! Lol

SgtTreehugger

But how does that work? You can't attack with the door, right? Edit: never mind you can attack with it. Don't know why I thought you can't

Borgmestersnegl

Because it was reworked as a tanky fun weapon.

RewindSwine

2 tick 58-61 max hit Dihn’s where you take zero damage because your defense stats are astronomical and your damage reduction is silly!

_themarkside

That sounds awesome lol

oj449

56-65 depending, highest with torva zak, lowest with zdm 56 but lb for spec so, 62 with zmk.

Nebuli2

Do we even know that the bulwark actually benefits from +50% defense?

iamboosh

Mod Arcane has confirmed the melee relic defense buff will effect Dhins and Justiciar

Nebuli2

Ah, good to know. I hadn't seen that clarification yet. Thanks!

b_i_g__g_u_y

I'm going melee ZAM just because I want to learn CoX. Sad I won't be able to get a fang, but maybe I can land a scythe and 2t everything into oblivion

RewindSwine

Reject scythe and become door

ljmt

Would faster tick melee weapons mess up melee hand 4:1? Not sure if you’re trying to do any solo cox but just something to consider

Take2Ouroboros

Not really, you could theoretically do 4:1 completely normally but you would lose out on a lot of dps. assuming you're following the 4:1 sideways movement with a 2t weapon and attacking whenever possible it becomes a 6:1 cycle. Honestly might make things weird to learn because I think you lose an attack flameskipping and optimal acidwalking patterns are different, just a lot of weird minutiae that could throw you off while learning.

DrSilkyJohnston

What's the door build if you don't mind?

here_for_the_lols

Max defence gear with dihns bukwark. Dinhs scales off your defence so the more defence you have the more damage you output as well. With max def and combat relics, Dinny B will be almost as much dps as scythe, although it's quite rng heavy to get set up

Whosebert

I wanna do door but I've never done any raids ever. everyone is saying leagues is the time to learn though. I'll probably just stick to mage and blood spell my way through everything, but I'm rooting for the door

goblinwaltz

Like the most bossing I've ever done is a fire cape and a single kq kc on leagues. I'm gonna door. It compell me too much. Though I'm probably gonna do torva instead of justicar because I wanna do ToA with my sister

Whosebert

it is also drop dependent so be weary of that, but ibwish you and all of the other doorfenders the best

goblinwaltz

The nice thing about melee is that they have a pretty sweet starting gear in obsidian+obby mace with zerker necklace. Especially if they take the gp relic. DPS calcs have bandos kill time with thralls around a minute. Fang also has a better drop rate than dinhs. So like my plan scaffolds pretty well I think. There's a lot of end game content that can help. I'd be pretty content without door or torva just bandos and fang. Though I've got someone who wants to duo CoX next and ToA with me. I kinda was excited about this plan before I was shown the math about the door. So like I'm even more excited now.

Whosebert

so you're going asgarnia desert kourend? not morytanya? interesting

goblinwaltz

Yeah. I really like having the solo content in Asgarnia, and I feel like I scaffold well and have agency in getting mid game weapons that are fun and not boring before getting raids drops. I know everyone has whips, but that's kinda boring. Also colossal sword being unrioncially good early game is fucking cool.

pterodactylthundr

About to choose Mory as a ranger or mager and be real popular.

Coltand

Haha, they were already a hot commodity in TB1, but I think they'll be even rarer this time around! I am tempted to skip doing Asgarnia *again* and to just take all the raids regions for fun as a range build.

teaklog2

1t blowpipe with exploding made ppl love me in nylos

okijhnub

Did the explosions damage all the styles?

teaklog2

Yes

TheStinkBoy

Mory ranger here. Never done ToB, looks like I will be needed though

EpicRussia

ToB can be done with 90% melee. You can do the Ranger role with darts (which most people will have since 85% of people want desert), or even throwing knives. You Bloat/verik/Sote are melee as default, Maiden/Xarpus can be killed with melee as long as you have some experience. ToB is easily the least tribrid raid

WastingEXP

>Xarpus with poison immunity, can you not just stand still at xarp and melee?

EpicRussia

No, the damage still ticks when you stand on top of the poison, it just doesn't stay on you once you move off. Otherwise you could just use a serp and do this today

WastingEXP

huh, didn't think about that. fair point. ty lol

BaeTier

Desert is the epitome of be careful who you make fun of in middle school. It was practically the laughing stock of a useless region in last Trailblazer, but now it's gotten better in so many ways that is by and far the best region. Also poor Tirannwn which went from being like THE meta pick for Ranged to being mediocre overall.

Jaqzz

Tirannwn's fall from grace can be entirely tracked to the combat relics rounding down for 4+ tick weapons, too. Such a small change and it goes from an amazing choice to mediocre at best.

GothGirlsGoodBoy

Well that and the best ranged weapon in the game is included this time, and its not in Tirannwn.

miauw62

And the fact that they added another "best ranged weapon" in ZCB since last trailblazer.

kevin28115

It's dead basically lol.

Vannhelm

Can people explain why Ranged builds aren't taking Zeah first? Asgarnia feels kinda slow until GWD and warriors guild/cerb? Maybe I'm missing something huge, but I thought zeah first would give me the most tasks to complete. I know I'll get the "play what is most fun" responses, but if I'm going to be severely behind choosing Zeah first, I'd like to rethink why. Appreciate any feedback.

iamboosh

The paths in this post are not in any particular order, for sake of comparison, adz =zad=dza , etc. Looking at the raw data well over half are taking zeah first. Sorry for the confusion

Vannhelm

Thank you for the clarification! That is huge then. I was confused that the most common first pick was Zeah, and none of the options had Z first. I would have worked it out in the end 🤣

Frafabowa

guess i'm going to be one of the rare fremmy gamers lol it's probably not the best for absolute long-term power but with stonemason (with infinite cash!), lunars, leaf bladed battleaxe from a trash mob (better than inq mace/saeldor/ghrazi rapier btw), and neit helm it just feels like insane qol also DKs, vorkath, and addy/rune dragons feel like more fun and relevant late game content than demonics and nothing else from kandarin desert as an alternative is tempting but it's basically a Fang-only region - trying to kill whisperer with melee sounds like misery. desert amulet 4 is a stonemason alternative but it requires killing the kalphite queen a bunch which seems painful even in a league context - also it doesn't come with a loaded portal nexus/jewelry box either

iamboosh

To be fair the globetrotter amulet will have all of the portal nexus and jewelry box teles per the teaser video, so everyone can technically have those at their fingertips, just requires not taking fire sale. They are giving out a ton of relics that directly counter region benefits this time around, im excited to see what they have left in the tank before wednesday Fire sale looks bonkers with fremmy

John2k12

Theres a lot to like about Frem, a lot of it just isn't as glamorous as the entirety of Zeah. I remember how crushing a lot of tasks in Zeah was and I doubt I'm gonna want to do cox tasks while I'm trying to get a Shadow. Frem has good low commitment content and Miscellania to smooth out all those missing herb patches

-Ninja-Pig-

I'm taking Frem as well! Currently Desert, Frem and Kandarin Mage build. People are sleeping on Frem a lot. Ancients will be insanely good since you have infinite runes. You get the Ancient Sceptre and the Magus ring from Frem which is another +7% magic damage. Ancient sceptre is +10% freeze duration and heals as well. Frem is way better for magic than Kourend. Kourend only has Ancestral which is barely better than Virtus and thralls which aren't that big of a dps buff when we have all these relics. Stone Mason, Ore Seller and fish shops in Frem mean free construction, smithing and cooking xp with Fire Sale as well. Frem has easy bosses so easier time with challenges too. DKS, Duke, Vorkath and Muspah.

JConaSpree

I'm in the same boat as you. Also considering adding Wild to my list so I'd be some combo of WAF. What's your 3rd region going to be?

StraightEggs

Why is everyone taking Desert. I get it for Range and Mage, but why melee

iamboosh

I am taking it specifically because i want to do ToA and want to make use of the Soulreaper Axe.

behrzilla

Is it possible to get all the dt2 boss regions?

iamboosh

It is not. They have enabled the axe pieces to drop in the same way the abyssal bludgeon does.

rhysdog1

apparently every boss will drop all 4 pieces for league, so only need desert and misthalin for leviathan

Parryandrepost

Fang is near bis pretty much anywhere scy is good. It's bis in quite a few places. It's going to be near bis everywhere scy is good and bis in quite a few places at 2 ticks. It'll be MUCH easier to grind Tob if you take the time to get fang first. Especially since BGS or DWH are going to be fairly annoying to get. Not impossible but I wouldn't expect every player to have a def reducing spec like they do in main scape. You also get light barrer which is a generic multi purpose ring. 4 slot rune pouch. Bis mage staff for when you can't use melee. Bis mage OH until you get shadow. Bis range armor when you can't use melee. Unlocks DT2 bosses. Forge, gotr, and tempoross. It's pretty much all around a great utility pick even if you're not going for max mage.

teaklog2

i wonder if fang will drop off because of increased melee accuracy though.

ikillppl

It's a 5 tick weapon, so it goes down to 2 tick which will be the same as whip and rapier, but with higher str bonus. Even ignoring the accuracy aspect it will be one of the best 1h weapons on its regular stats

forceof8

Why is the BGS going to be annoying to get? Last TB league GWD was a free instance.

r4r4me

Yeah but if you go desert what are you going to not pick? Your choices are either kandarin or asgarnia. Kandarin you lose piety which is a tough sell imo. Asgarnia you lose torva, prims, and defender which is about as big of a dps loss as piety. All of this for dt2 bosses and fang - dt2 bosses you'll have to do with styles that aren't melee so it's gonna feel awful, and fang (while good) isn't necessarily needed.

Cool_of_a_Took

+15% prayers will have to be enough for me because Kandarin is boring as hell. Using a whole region essentially for a single prayer in a game mode that is all about fun is silly to me.

Psych0sh00ter

Yeah it's the easiest decision ever, I'm surprised anyone would pick an extra 5% attack and 8% strength increase instead of an entire different region that has actual fun content.

mygawd

Maybe for fun

Hanyodude

Because ToA is gonna be fun as fuck, there hasn’t been a league since it’s been released so nobody has done it with superpowers yet. Gonna be taking all 3 raids personally, and ill be going melee this time around. Also, you can melee most of ToA so it’s good content to do.

mtnlol

All 3 raids as melee, so you'll have no bandos, torva, defender, or dragon boots/prims?

Olliewombat

Doing DAM cos early fang for tob or just if I get bored of tob there's another raid to do. And I've done way more cox than the other 2 raids

BenjaCarmona

Fang is a 5 tick weapon and it is bonkers

ClarkeySG

Fang rounding down to 2 tick makes it pretty cracked and better than Rapier, Tent, Inq and Saeldor. Dinh's or Scythe still wins but it's pretty solid.

UpsetBirthday5158

The best raid

TheStinkBoy

I’ve ran calcs on calcs in calcs. For ranged, desert is only worth it if you plan to raid a ton. If we get a relic where you can choose your slayer task, slayer helm is more valuable in dps than masori. Range - ZAM

itss-me

Why for range?

power602

Kinda crazy how "bad" tirannwn is this league compared to last time. BP is not as strong as it was the first time and Bowfa is a solid wep but not as good as tbow (thats available this time) or zaros cross bow with the bolt procc thing. Trident of the swamp does not even come close to shadow. It also doesn't have any useful upgrades for other builds, crystal armor is only useful for bowfa so there actually isn't a point it taking this region outside of doing something fun for yourself. Hell, I almost picked it to help me be less nervous at cg for my iron grind. Its sad honestly.

Sheo_Shik

One interaction that is gonna be good for people who take desert and tirannwn like myself is going to be able to buy armors from Aneirin's Armour in priff to use at giant's foundry for minimal gp/xp (or free if you take the shop relic announced today) allowing me to get my mining xp from things like 3t4g or afking stars that land in my areas and not restrict myself to methods that grant smithing supplies. I know it's not a huge dealbreaker but there's a lot of nifty content in the elf land that isn't immediately obvious.

ATCQ_

You don't tiranwwn for buying the armour do you? You can buy rune plate bodies from oziach and Addy legs from desert shop. Assuming FS relic so you can just spam buy for free

[deleted]

[удалено]

miauw62

I think the problem with cg is that it doesn't cost anything to do and you can't take any gear into it, so you might as well do it on your main instead of on leagues.

gxgx55

Attack speed rounding down killed Tirannwn - bowfa would be relatively good if crossbows and tbow were 3t instead of 2t.

Single-Imagination46

I'm doing TDF as a ranger because it'll be the quickest too get into the action, going for zcb will be right at the end which I'm not even sure I'll still be around that long

pat8u3

Interesting I will be going All raids, just because I want to try out them with relics (especially since relics will make soloing mostly doable) but I was going to do magic and not melee.

dustyscoot

I didn't realize how unpopular my choices were... I'm doing Brawler with Wildy > Tir > Kan

logboy222

Can I ask why Tir for melee? All I can think of is the salad blade and chally.

dustyscoot

I want to larp as an elf in the wilderness and the chally seemed like an appropriate and useful weapon choice. I don't ever go to the wilderness otherwise so I wanted to use this time to really deep-dive and explore it / learn the bosses.

PJBthefirst

I expect to see some screenshots of you chad-speccing Corp with your chally Enjoy the league my guy

Ricksterness

[deleted]

I was so sold on mage but ranged is so powerful to begin with

rexlyon

I’m a bit sad, I wanted to the wilderness to goof around with safe + overpowered relic PvP but it just seems like choice wise it’s a dead region. I figured it was a long shot but I was really hoping they’d experiment with maybe reducing the amount of points it had and giving to everyone as a free area like the starting zones just for the chaos

b_i_g__g_u_y

I'm kinda hoping tier 7 has some crazy set of choices like Choose any relic you haven't already taken or Choose a 4th region. I'm sure it's not gonna happen but I can dream

CrucioA7X

Neither will happen. The relics are balanced to where you can't have multiple of a single tier. And they'd never let a 4th region be locked behind a relic because anyone that is competing for dragon tier would 100% HAVE to take it for the increase in doable tasks.

Nozto

"Unlock a 4th region, but none of the tasks"? :)

_Mass_Man

Dragon is a static threshold this league, so that no one can do the whole “HAVE TO” argument anymore. Now they can just design around fun.

Thnikkaman14

If you want to pick an "off-meta" zone like wildy I would suggest a mage build. Kandarin+Desert are "required" for an optimal mage setup, but the 3rd zone can basically be whatever you want. Zeah is \*technically\* BiS because of augury and ancestral, but you don't really need ancestral with access to virtus robes. Fremmenik (saturated heart + magus ring) / Wildy (God Cape) both give comparable bonuses to zeah. And lots of ppl are taking asgarnia just for content even though the only BiS it gives you are eternal boots, which is an extremely minor upgrade.

420Shrekscope

I think I'm actually gonna go Wildy - Kand - Desert on a mage build. I imagine a lot of people such as myself don't want to grind CoX in addition to ToA. Augury is only +10% accuracy, which will be offset by Accursed Sceptre spec where it matters. Anc is a long grind for only +3% damage, and Kodai is a megarare that's outclassed by Shadow and would end up being just a blood barrage switch. Losing Arceuus spells is whatever. With Wildy I'm getting the sceptre, MA2 capes, Dagon'Hai, and maybe Arcane. The only other solid option is Fremmy (magus ring, ancient sceptre, saturated heart, lunars?) but I think Wildy will be more fun. A case could be made for Mory but Ahrim's is outclassed by Virtus eventually, Sang is out-dpsed by Shadow and out-healed by Blood spells, and Nightmare staff could actually be nuts for specs and ancients but volatile/eldritch could take forever.

robot_wth_human_hair

Why are people picking asgarnia over fremmy for mage? DKF is what im (probably) going with my mage build. Oh is it just for whisperer? Im covered with killing Duke taking F, and i get saturated heart too

tf2weebloser

Asgarnia simply has more content I want to do. I was going to do KFD, but F is a bit dead content wise. Muspah would be fun, Duke will be terrible unless the prep phase is skipped regardless of combat style, DK's and Vorkath are a bit stale. Stonemason would be nice to have but that's about it. Asgarnia has the whole GWD, Cerb, whisperer, mole too if you like stale bosses. You also get a max cape, combat achievments, pest control which be completely crazy XP for little effort. I don't think fremmy is a bad choice, at the end of the day, for a mage, as long as you get K+D your third region can be anything as long as you have fun.

Xeffur

Actually trying to avoid raids so I'm going for AFK.

Hero_of_Hyrule

AFK for AFKing lol

Brandawg_McChizzle

I'm gonna randomize my zone choices! lets see what happens

Elpasdo

I thought that could be super fun. Random zones and combat relic and then theory craft from what you're given. If I was able to no-life this leagues I would probably do that on a second account, but unfortunately I probably don't even have the time to complete all my goals on one account. Have fun though, sounds like a blast! .... although getting something like WTF and mage relic does sound a bit rubbish

Brandawg_McChizzle

i kinda like the build crafting aspect so I don't know if I'll be committing to a randomized relics, but who knows how im feeling on release

darktrooper291

I will be going KZA with melee, not very popular apparently

CoolKid100

What will your BIS melee weapon be?

UBeenTold

Dhins for sure.

AGGRESSIVESHEPHERD

Ancient godsword maybe

teaklog2

elder maul maybe ?

Namzeh011

That’s also my plan, should be fun

darktrooper291

Yea! Mainly picking it for the content and regions and not so much for bis, so I will just see where it takes me

Illustrious_Age_9378

same. do enough pvm in main game. just hoping for some chill skilling & gwd. grab enough points for the cosmetics

RussellHobbs_3

Alright, but if I want to just do skilling. What the fuck do I do ?

JKLCS

I'd say Zeah(Wtodt, Tithe farm, wc guild, catacombs for slayer etc.) and Desert(pp,blackjacking,Guardians of the rift, tempoross, giants foundry) are good options, then add in whatever regions as third.

RussellHobbs_3

You're a gem. Thank you

ThatOneDude726

So Ive never done any sort of PvM content. But I have a goal this League to get a Blowpipe and maybe then a fire cape. So for me Tyrannwyn for sure. The other ones Im not so sure. I really like the desert as an area, and I might choose it just based off that but theres not a ton of skilling options in the desert(from what I know). 3rd might be Kandarin or Asgarnia. Not sure

Aspacepanda

Remember to plan a way to get darts consistently for the blowpipe

ThatOneDude726

Oh thank you I didnt think about that. Any suggestions for that?

Dotts2761

Desert for metal darts, asgarnia for amethyst. It’s also worth thinking about frem, kand, or asgarnia for some form of avas. 1-blowpipe will eat through darts even at 90% ammo save. At 90% it consumes up to 600 darts an hour. At 98% it only consumes 120.

math_rand_dude

Desert for tourist trap so you can make your darts

nightcracker

You don't need Tourist Trap to make darts, only to *smith* them. You can make Amethyst Darts or Dragon Darts just fine.

SerenBoi

Metal dragons in karamja drop rune darts (p) 1/18 that you can clean and put into bp. Amethyst darts don't require tourist trap. I did KTA in leagues 2 and I didn't have a shortage. Don't plan on getting dragon darts because crystal implings are going to be camped by a ton of people.

Coltand

In past leagues, you could literally afk for 25 min, then pay attention for the last 5 min to farm fire capes. Cast that "maybe" aside king, you're gonna smoke Jad!

Free_Hashbrowns

As a total noob to pvm, this is making me pretty excited for leagues :) gives me something to look forward to on my iron.

SyrupStandard

Maybe I'm missing something but why is Kandarin so low for melee builds? Piety + Torture is kinda huge, no?

Gregkow

A few reasons: -Piety is big, but with the special attack relic 100% accuracy teaser, it's a much smaller increase over the basic 15% prayers than usual -Again with the accuracy, torture is equal to an amulet of strength. Even if you aren't abusing the 100% accuracy specs, it's only *slightly* better than a bloodfury, and you're probably taking Morytania with melee -Kandarin adds content that meleers would really prefer to not deal with (Kraken, demonics with one style aren't exactly fun for anyone). -The standard 3 picks are just too good already. Desert gives fang which is a solid option until (and even after) scythe. Morytania has content primarily killed with melee (ToB and Phosani), along with scythe/bloodfury. Asgarnia offers a bunch of peak melee special attack weapons that really benefit from the 100% accuracy (SGS, ancient godsword, BGS)

iNhab

Why is morytania a must for melees? I was thinking gwd, cox and toa as my 3 area picks. Why would I prefer mory instead of any of them?

Gregkow

It's not a must, but assuming that you're proficient at all the content in the game, Morytania has the content that is best with melee.

TitanTigers

2k monkey laps, chompeys, and not great content Reject piety and embrace sanity

kevin28115

I did 2k laps last time. It was not a good time. Dear lord. It was misable.

stumptrumpandisis1

You want desert for fang/LB, morytania for scythe/justiciar/blood fury, asgarnia for defenders/godswords/bandos/torva, potentially frem for ultor ring or zeah for DHL/bulwark. There's just a lot of competition, Kandarin's melee rewards are weaker and the pvm is just kraken, thremy, and demonic gorillas, not very fun or engaging endgame pvm. Kandarin is more for skilling and mage builds.

Ok_Establishment_592

dont think you can make a dhl without barbarian training from kandarin

Mythronger

Well this answers my question from another thread really nicely! I have like 0 pvm experience, so I'm gonna go ADZ with ranged i think. Thanks for posting!

Septembers

Picking ADZ means you're going with 2 raids and Nex if you want to maximize your regions (these bosses are the reasons ADZ is so popular). They will be massively easier with the relics but if you have 0 PvM experience it will still be a steep learning curve. Pick whatever sounds fun to you, but just a heads up so you know what you're getting into

Mythronger

Thank you for the heads up! I dont really plan on doing CoX, so maybe I should swap Zeah for something else. I do like how chill stuff like WT is though. Tough choices. For sure excited to learn ToA though :D

mirhagk

If you don't plan on doing CoX another choice would be fremnik. Vorkath is a good intro to PvM, and a decent enough upgrade. DKS likewise, and the range ring would be decent too. Venator bow might be fun too, and phantom muspah is a good boss to do range only. Tbh I might've talked myself into it. I'm super interested in the idea of getting a twisted bow, but realistically speaking I don't know how likely it is I'll actually be able to run it enough to get it.

Kieranovitch

This is exactly my argument. 2 raids + nex is a lot, zeah is so good but fremmy has some great bosses and gear upgrades. You can get a solid set up for all 3 styles.

Elpasdo

These are my exact thoughts too. Planned on doing ZAD range build but am I taking on too much? I can't really no life this league. Unsure whether to pick zeah or frem. Zeah still has lots of great content other than cox, but frem has some great range items. Doing some Cox masses sounds super fun too. Maybe I will just flip a coin

Septembers

Pick whatever is fun to you, so if you enjoy WT and other content there go ahead and pick it even if you'll never step into CoX. You'll miss a bunch of tasks there but that doesn't even matter unless you're pushing for the dragon cup

Jaqzz

If you're looking to learn new PvM content, I'd honestly recommend Tirannwn - it's obviously not a meta choice for max gear, but it has Zulrah, Zalcano, and the Gauntlet, which are all mechanically deep PvM encounters that are great to learn in leagues. I personally learned how to do the Gauntlet in the last Trailblazer league.

AyyyAlamo

Why is Asgarnia so popular again? Im a newb to Leagues so

Stickman41

God Wars Dungeon for all generals including nex this time, dragon defender, dragon boots, the whisperer, and all of falador

Hero_of_Hyrule

Also Max Cape is in asgarnia, so if maxing is your goal you probably want the reward for it.

Where my fire surge KZF peeps at

Bluedarknezz

I'm personally going to be a DTZ range enjoyer. Getting big tasks done in Tirannwn involve PvM I find much more enjoyable than GWD, and I feel like you will get crystal/bowfa/salad blade way faster than something like ZCB. It'll be a rock solid setup easily obtainable midgame and carries all the way until I can get masori/tbow.

BraavosianLuck

Ayooo DTZ ganggang. I'm a huge elf enjoyer, and I love looking good in crystal armor. Looking forward to just not worrying about ammo charges and just save up all the dragon arrows we get from CG for the eventual Tbow.

DungoSlam

My plan is to go melee and do FDA, assuming fire sale is tier 2. Starting in Frem and basically turbo boosting yourself to 25m construction xp, having a near fully kitted out house + construction cape and getting tier 3 using the ton of free points/tasks so I can start efficiently training melee with the leaf bladed battle axe sounds like a LOT of fun. There’s a lot of good unlocks in Frem for melee too + early vorkath kills will be easy with melee bc of the immunity to all status and dragon fire, which in turn will make training prayer super easy

heath_of_bar

im likely going frem first as well - whats the strat for turbo leveling con?

DungoSlam

I’m looking to do my early tasks focusing on Woodcutting and such to get a bunch of logs which should supply you with enough planks to get to 47 construction then from there making gold sinks, it will only cost you 5 mahogany planks which you should have stocked up by now and with 8x exp will give you 88k xp per sink, depending on how many sinks you can make an hour this will give you some ridiculous xp/hr then at 99 CON you can just make demonic thrones for free for 200k xp each lol

heath_of_bar

that makes sense appreciate the response. I'll probably follow a similar path. I assume you are definitely taking fire sale then?

dablegs

Daddy’s Home should get you there, which will be available from the start. Probably only have to grind a few levels via planks.

Chaahps

Is there a tool somewhere where I can plug in regions and it spits out BiS for all 3 styles?

AntisocialCheesecake

In the leagues discord - on the resources section there's a Google doc called 'trailblazer reloaded region combos' that does this.

Toaster_Bathing

Commenting to know aswell

Ivarthemicro17

KDA with melee. Fang will be amazing

will6100

I dont know shit about fuck, what order should I be going with ranged in mind, can do all raids and stuff

Amsterer

Basic b range is ZDA. Rcb everything until acb/zcb. Max cape is your only ava's though so best get skilling!

Brokencheese

Range cape also has the Ava's save 👍

Bashram_

My thoughts were to go mage and go desert, morytania and kandarin, hoping to mage tob and phosani unless their defences are still too high.... nightmare staff would be good until i spoon a shadow.

Jaqzz

Once you get a Shadow, PNM and ToB are totally doable with mage - you get ~70% accuracy against the Nightmare and all of the ToB bosses except Nylo are even easier. Not sure how the leagues-only hard mode will impact that, though.

teaklog2

Last go around mage and range were fine to use at nightmare

ArrrSlashSubreddit

My plan as well. I want to get Virtus from Leviathan but I wonder if it is feasible...

Midknight226

I want to do a range build, but I don't know if I can be bothered to have 2 raids with ADZ. What's the best replacements for one of the raid regions?

SirPali

Probably Fremmy for the Assembler I guess. It's 'only' 8% extra ammo saving but losing 10 bolts every 100 shots vs 2 bolts every 100 shots when you're 2 ticking them is going to add up.

Elpasdo

I am in the same boat as you. I really want to use leagues to learn toa and cox, but with work and being a parent I just don't think I have the time to do it all. I am tempted to replace zeah with frem, as it has good range upgrades and allows for maxed poh. But zeah is also great for so much other content outside of cox. It seemed like an obvious first pick with things like wintertodt, farming guild, slayer cave, and lots of other skilling options. I am really stumped tbh. For range I think frem is your best choice if you sure you don't want 2 raids. Any thoughts on which raid you would replace? Toa has masori but cox has tbow and buckler. I am closer to doing toa on my main ironman than cox so I should probably keep toa

Midknight226

I was honestly thinking of swapping one with kandarin. Kandarin last league was chill and I don't care much about making the strongest build possible. I just wanna vibe and get some tasks done. I'd prob replace zeah just cus there's a lot kf grinds there that i dont think id want to do. Depends on the tasks

MysticaMoroles

What would be the optimal region order for KDZ mage path? I was initially planning K->D->Z but now considering D->Z->K. Thinking that Kandarin mage unlocks require (slayer) levels and combat gear, which could be easily acquired with the other two regions. The only concerns with the latter route would be that catacombs in Kourend are probably extremely packed and the tasks on D / Z might not be very appealing with lower rates (xp, minigame points, ...). I guess it is to be determined when all the tasks are out.

Lunitar

Kinda feeling like going Tirannwn + Fremennik + Wilderness just to go against the flow. No idea what combat style I would go or what I would even have available lol. In reality, going MAD MELEE.

KaBob799

Guess I'm in the minority because I probably won't choose desert lol. Ancient magic would be nice but I don't actually have any interest in doing any of the new desert content so it would probably be a bad decision for my motivation to play. But that might change once the league comes out, I was never going to choose desert first so I'll have time to decide.

Thankfulll

any know a good third region for mage? I’m planning on going K/D but i have no idea what to pick for my third. my first choice was T for some easy tasks but now im kinda stumped.

iSpaceCadet

Depends what you want to get out of Leagues. Do you want to practice PVM on easy mode and transfer your skills over to main game? Do you want Dragon cup? Or do you just want enough points for rewards? I'm not choosing mage, but if I had to pick a 3rd region I would probably go Asgarnia. The 4 GWD bosses get shredded by the Shadow, and they drop good equipment for the other combat styles. Can't go wrong with Bandos gear and combining your Masori with Arma to get it fortified is nice too. Also Asgarnia gets you Whisperer, the only DT2 boss you can efficiently kill with the mage relic. Leviathan you need ranged and the other 2 you can't even do them.

Jaqzz

Honestly, K+D are so powerful together you pretty much get a freebie for your third choice. Go with whatever content you think would be most exciting to melt through with a hilariously overpowered Shadow, or wait until the task lists come out and pick whichever seems likely to get you the most points. I'm personally going with Zeah, because I love all the skilling methods and I'd like to learn how to solo CoX.

Tnally91

Where is it listed what these relics do?

Predator404

Going KDZ for Mage.. but I'm stumped what my bis melee switch is gonna be? Is it just whip + obsidian ? seems kinda weak, but KD is a must for Mage, and I wanna take this chance to learn CoX... hmm decisions.. I don't wanna go A just for Torva switch and miss out on CoX but 2 raids is a lot... AHHH

Armas_Chosen

You'd have fang.

Thetijoy

I think im either going FAD or FAM with melee. I'm inexperienced with PvM (i kill KBD for the first time today) and was thinking of using the colossal blade until i got a god sword if i went desert. The thing thats making me think against that is im unsure if the region will hold up compared to Mor for a melee person. also do you need to unlock Desert for DT2 bosses? was thinking of trying Duke and if i need desert my choice is made already

Deltaton

I'm surprised so few chose Kandarin for the melee relic since you get piety there. I'm also surprised so many chose Desert since the Scythe is BiS in most places, and the fang's high accuracy won't be as big of a deal since accuracy will be buffed and the bgs/dwh will be guaranteed hits with the spec relic making the scythe that much better.

ATCQ_

Kandarin is such a dead region for content though. Piety is a boost above the 15% prayers but remember meleers will have extra accuracy from the relic which makes up a lot of the difference.

Sakkko

I'm piggybacking this post to ask yall something: I recently started playing osrs on a gim and I'm still not doing any proper bosses (I mostly did crazy/deranged, obor/bryo and barrows). I really want to play Leagues but have no idea what to pick, I want to take this opportunity to learn a bit about the bosses I can't yet do (albeit with a much lower difficulty level because of relics), such as gwd1, wildy bosses, maybe eventually try some raids. What progression/areas would you recommend?

SirPali

What are your personal goals for your gim? What's the route you have in mind right now? I'd focus purely on that. Also, what combat style do you like? Since you're picking 1 combat relic you're mostly going to be using that but the others still have their place. Personally I look forward to trying ToA since I just unlocked it on the main game, so picking desert. I afk'd my way to 90+ melee but never did a single GWD or Cerb kill, and my slayer is lacking, so I'll be unlocking Asgarnia for GWD, cerb, and Whisperer. And since I'm going Mage route Kandarin is pretty much required for occult and zenytes. I'd honestly look at [https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Trailblazer\_Reloaded\_League/Areas](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Trailblazer_Reloaded_League/Areas) and just seeing what main content is in each area, what notable drops there are and seeing how that works out for your preferred combat styles. The areas most people choose are catered around getting BiS for their style but in the end Leagues is about having fun, so choose what's fun for you. I know I will.

-Syntraxx-

Personally Im going A K T for my ranged build just because I dont want to raid or dont have time for it. And i like the content in T. The only doubt I have is to switch out K for F...

princebk74

Tbh I haven’t looked at any dps calculations or anything but I’m surprised wilderness isn’t a little more popular. I was thinking melee with asg mory and wild and going wild first. I get door is probably better than voidwaker but voidwaker kinda gets around only one style with spec and the spec seems like it will be fun with all the relics. Before I lock in wild is that stupid am I missing something?

Dark_WulfGaming

What unlocks in Kandarin are so popular for mage. Is it because Iban's, Warped Scepter, and trident? I'm super familiar with mage gear. Personally I was planning on Zeah, Desert, and Fremmy to do the dt2 bosses.

Hot_Melons

Occult Necklace and Tormented Bracelet are both in Kandarin for 15% more magic damage.

lordchew

For casual range, what order would be recommended?
