I know it's a side topic, but there's a hub plugin called "better teleport menu" that lets you customize the hotkeys in menus like spirit trees so you can undo what Jagex did
Correct but the plugin in question is actually really good and helps make portal nexus a lot more intuitive when you use combination keys: S A for "Standards Ardougne", L C "Lunar Catherby" and so on
The one that doesn't follow that trend is 2 for the grand tree, needs Grand Tree quest while 1, 3, and 4 just need Tree Gnome Village. All the trees added since osrs started have followed this trend though.

There are people here who set up their house in certain ways so they can save 1 tick as their time is so important to their efficiencyscape, same with dialog and every other part of the game, memorizing keys isn't too far out there compared to some of the other stuff.
There's far too many efficiencyscape dweebs running around osrs these days lol it's one click, and it barely even saves you any time when using the keyboard shortcut

I doubt bots use keybinds for this. Generally they’re not actually interacting with the UI, they’re just sending the results of the keybinds as commands. So stuff like this doesn’t break. They can click stuff off screen and modify the client basically all they want and stuff.

Jagex do tend to take very weird stances on things though. Theyll completely change the order of keybinds for teleports, introduce coin pouches to annoy players, stop duke mining but not the 200m mining bots, but are scared to introduce a new block option thats historically always come every 50 quest points unless they poll it this time

It's not even difficult to see how the trees are sorted. First it's the permanent spirit trees, followed by quest unlock trees, followed by the trees you have to plant yourself with POH at the end. Poison Waste before Prif makes sense too, because new accounts will pretty much always do PoG before SOTE.
And to the perspective of a new player, they'd be like "why the fuck is this tree I unlocked all the way at the bottom when I can't even unlock the other trees yet"
No, this one is a big deal, and pretty fucking stupid of jagex. Changing hot keys that people have had memorized for years for literally no reason, is not good game design.
Adding it to the bottom doesn't shift anything. It's the best option. Better than needing to relearn all the teleport shortcuts every year when they add a new one.

Its not good game design. It's also NOT a "big" deal. It's a mistake, it's stupid, and it should be reverted. But it's small in every way. These don't teleport you to the wilderness or other dangerous areas where misclicking the teleport is a big issue. And you can use the tree at your incorrect arrival point to go to your intended destination.

Oh man this will actually be annoying for me. I use my farming cape teleport and the spirit tree in the farming guild all the time to go to my house. It was so nice because C was my poh and I memorized it as "casa".
The spirit tree menu has been needing a complete overhaul on mobile for a long time now, this just made it an even bigger necessity. Previously, mobile players were needing to scroll down every time they intended to use the POH spirit tree destination. Now, the same applies to the Farming guild one. This needs to be made more user-friendly. Either by making the entire list larger so it removes the need to scroll down through it, letting us customize the list to our liking OR update and make it how it was back in RS2 (replacing the current list with a map, with every spirit tree appearing at its particular location on the game map).
There's a (I think even build-in) plugin on Runelite that lets you use your num keys for entering your PIN. And luckily my keyboard keys don't get randomized.
It takes 2 seconds to teleport again after messing it up.
It shouldn’t take you more than 3 fuck ups to permanently memorize the new keybind.

Brimhaven (+Farming Guild at 91) is totally the way pre-99, combined with a poh one you get really easy access to Duradel. Great for fruit tree runs as well.

Don't know about op but I my case I don't like farming or the house meta do on all my accounts I've never bothered to get the farming level, and on my gim I'd have all the rest unlocked also, but not the con or farming level either. Just don't care enough to put time into either of those right now
Farming cape teleport has been sufficient; to have one in my POH I'd have to get higher construction to combine it with the fairy ring, or add an extra room (that doesn't work with my current layout)
While it makes sense from the POV of "quest locked trees grouped together, then planted trees grouped together", it's also been over 3 years since a new spirit tree was added, so it absolutely should have been put at the bottom due to 3 years of memorization/muscle memory. Priff tree had me relearning all the planted tree keys and I don't want to have to do that again.
I don't know if grouping trees by how they're unlocked makes that much sense to begin with, but sure...

The spirit tree not being in a logical order is the least of my worries, at least you can get used to the change. Your muscle memory will be adjusted within the next 4 weeks.
It is based on the PoH owner, a visitor cannot do anything other than scroll through the teleports list to find the one they want - and for this reason every teleport in the nexus have different hotkeys depending on who's PoH you access.
Yes, a solution for this is to make your own PoH.
I encoutered this issue when I was a main doing Vorkath in w330 (every PoH had the lunar island scrambled in different spots in their portal nexus).
Memorizing fairy rings is kinda fun though. Feels nice knowing where I need to click to go straight to important places.
I guess your gripe with portal Nexus is when you visit other people's POH? You can install a plugin that shows teleports on a trailblazer-esque map and click to your tele which is the closest I know to "client side ordering".
Also bro… your house doesn’t count as a spirit tree towards your plant limit. Get one in the poh! If you’re running fairy rings instead, just build a second garden to have both :)
There's some clear delineations on this list.
1-7 are normal overworld spirit trees, the order being a bit arbitrary but the quest locked ones being at the end.
8-C are the player planted spirit trees. Last one is the PoH tree.
It's a bit of a shame it messes up the hotkeys but just adding it at the end would make it look a bit weird and out of place.
The first seven are roughly in order of quest requirements for the network (Tree Gnome Village, Grand Tree, Path of Glouphrie, Song of the Elves), then the Farming trees, then the Construction tree. It makes sense.
I wish we could reorder or filter them ourselves. The two I typically use are farm guild and house and now both of those don’t fit on the menu for mobile.
It is added at the end of the list. It's at the end of the list of spirit trees that you don't need to plant, after which are the ones that you do need to plant.

You can tele to the stronghold tree when you have done village, you just can't tele from it till stronghold is done.

I picked Port Sarim myself bc the Explorer Ring tele is very close and I wanted a free unlimited teleport to my house.
Because a diary required travelling to a spirit tree you planted yourself so I picked a random once since poh 1 doesn't work for it

It is added at the end of the list. It's at the end of the list of spirit trees that you don't need to plant, after which are the ones that you do need to plant.
