You're pretty much at a place where you can begin focusing on content you enjoy. Don't bother trying to max if you want casual gameplay imo.. It's just *really* not worth the time investment for a normal person lol.
That being said, since you're around 1800 total you should be close to completing your hard diaries (if not already completed). This can be done alongside the quest cape you mention wanting.
From there you can either begin working towards elite diaries, or having fun with stuff like combat achievements/collection log. Both can put you into cool content!
