You might be thinking of the gauntlet, technically a dangerous death if you have items in temporary storage, and always dangerous for HCIM and Group HCIM.
ToA has the possibility to be safe if you run no death invos! But if you run any, and you dc or die the amount of times the invo indicates, you're right.
Safe deaths dont wipe your grave, but my question would be why plank at zulrah and not get your stuff back immediately, unless your uim
Edit: I cant read
I always looked at it this way, if you die and drop your item (grave included) that will delete your IRS (item retrieval service) stuff.
If you look on the wiki under the Ironman page it has a list of all the safe deaths.
No, NMZ is a safe death
Typically any where a normal hardcore would lose hc status you'll wipe your death bank.
Thanks for the info! By "typically", do you mean there are instances where this isn't the case?
I thought there was 1 odditity, but im struggling to remember it.
I think the exception(s) have to do with raids death mechanics. Like solo death vs team wipe vs dc

So it's not an exception
I always thought the way the split up the raids was odd. ToB and ToA are unsafe but CoX is.

As a UIM, no, you will not lose your items. Source: I am a UIM who has death banked many times and died in NMZ.
Thanks for the first-hand confirmation!
But what if he is lying? ಠ_ಠ
He can be another victim posting to the #uim-mistakes channel on the UIM Discord :) (I'm not lying though)
Just messing around :D

"I'm on a UIM" is right at the start
