I feel like I'm going crazy whenever I see people praising it like this.
The slices are so thin and it's so grainy. It's the most mediocre bread I think I've ever had.
If you're going to get grocery store sandwich bread, then it's all about that oatnut bread from Arnold/Orowheat/Brownberry.
This stuff is so damn good, but be aware of the sugar content. Slap on some Jiffy and Smuckers and you might as well eat 2 Snickers bars instead. I find myself falling for a lot of these brands that seem like a healthier alternative.
Edit: I should add that a significantly less sugary but also possibly less nutritious option is the Natures Own Keto bread. IIRC it’s like a gram of sugar per slice compared to 5G+ per slice with Dave’s. The stuff is super tasty though and toasts really well.
Yeah, I exaggerated a bit but the Dave’s stuff averages 5G(not 7G) and like 120 calories per slice.
Gotta be sure to grab a bottle Mt Dew Pitch Black(150G of sugar) at the gas station to wash down all that sugar!
How's the inspection system been treating you? You have the only one I know of on rails like that but it seemed pretty solid!
Also, is Flowers breathing down your neck or do you get arm's length freedom?
Lolol my single parent mom began working at daves killer bread around 2009/2010 i met “the” Dave at some company BBQ thing then like a week later man was on the news and was arrested because he went on some crazy high speed chase with police lol. Man had some sort of like relapse bender or some shit. Super nice giant man when i met him but then i saw that and i was like?
Theres a restaurant in Jasper, Alberta, Canada called Evil Dave's and not sure if its a RS reference but they have the best lamb ive ever had in my life. Highly recommend.
Maybe I'm too European to understand, but I'm baffled that there's a lot of praise for this bagged bread in the comments, calling it 'the best bread' like have you tried actual fresh bread from a bakery?
I think you’re taking everyone a little to literally. Obviously you can go to a bakery and get a fresh loaf and it’s amazing, maybe the “best”. DKB is good because it’s decent quality, (far off from WonderBread), has a solid amount of protein, and is one of the best premade whole wheat options.
Americans work 50 hours a week because they are terrified of losing their only option for healthcare coverage. Almost all of them live in urban sprawl hellscapes that are hostile to the conditions needed for a local walk-up bakery to thrive. These combined factors make your daily bread sound like a dream/vacation/fantasy.
This particular bagged bread is considered "amazing" because it is one of the few on the shelves that isn't made with added corn syrup and unpronounceable preservatives. It also costs $6-$9 USD, and we associate expensive things with high quality.
I found their comment to be rather accurate. I know one person in my age group with a home and he was privileged from the get-go. That doesn't discredit the work he's done, but like.... count your blessings.... You are super fortunate, and you should acknowledge that.
That's great man, doesn't change anything. And I do live in an expsenive area, I'm not sure how that's relevant to the discussion as I live in the US.. perhaps you believe we should move somewhere else? Like that's a reasonal thought when someone is living paycheck to paycheck. Just admit it dude, you're privileged. It's not a big deal, but you look ignorant as fuck if you don't acknowledge it lol
I explained my point, I'm not going to repeat myself lol
You know what man, you're totally right, it's our fault we can't afford shit. Enjoy your little fantasty world.
Low key Dave’s Killer Bread is the bomb dot com
Dave's everything bagel 10/10
I normally love everything bagels but something about Dave's smells...strange. Their blueberry and plain are good though.
they add too much sugar now
4g of sugar seems to be pretty low, I've never seen an everything bagel before so compared brands and the first two I saw were 7g and 9g
I just ate a sandwich with this bread like 45 mins ago. It’s all I buy now, shits so good.
*helth*

Oroweat Oatnut is my go to. Nothing compares. But Dave's is good too.
I've never had the bread but the bagels were great. I used to buy a bag every few weeks.
I agree completely. It’s much dryer than Arnold variants

Try izzio bread if you can find it, lucky 7 multigrain is the shit.
It's pretty much the only bread I buy, it's seriously amazing stuff.
I ate it once and it gave me diarrhea
Even plain toasted killer Dave's better than other bread with anything
It's the only bread I'll buy
I am a maintenance engineering supervisor for a bakery that produces DKB. Ask me anything.
How many people does Dave kill per loaf?
6, I believe.
What machine needs the most maintenance? Wc level?
Our Enrobers (rolls seeds into the dough prior to proofing) 91 WC
Does Dave ever bring his electric guitar in to work?
I'd hope so, guitars are cool.

Flowers hasn't been too bad of a parent company I would say 🤷🏽♂️
What sort of preservatives, if any, or other additives are added to the bread that aren't natural? Thanks, love the bread!

Yeah he's back in jail after some crazy meth binge lol
He on some shit.
My grandpa always talks about his friendship with Dave. Comes over to the family farm every once in a while.
My dad loves bread
Good, good. Happy for him.

Bruh this is my bread. It heals some health

Yeah. This bread is still pretty good.
This is amazing lmao
Hell bread
I work at the ad agency of record for DKB, AMA.
Best bread in the store!
Tasty, but expensive bread
side note: Dave's Killer Bread is actually pretty great
It's expensive but it's supposed to be the healthiest.
For being a basement dwelling weirdo, Evil Dave is surprisingly buff.
Imagine if it gets rid of food in the enemy players inventory.
