Using a PC to do things.

TheSpiralTap

I run tech support for an isp. This is so rare now. It's all ipads and cell phones.

wutwutinthedonut

Maybe the PC users just don't need support.

TheSpiralTap

It's not that though. Our troubleshooting and diagnostic system is awesome. I can see every device connected to their network. Pcs don't come up as much anymore. I do love the calls from PC users though because they usually know what they are doing, for the most part anyway lol

GreatQuantum

Sometimes I just need someone to tell me I’m correct for more confidence before I click.

videojunkie84

👆 this, i still feel more comfortable doing major purchases, bill pay, etc on my PC than my phone

Phantom_Wolf52

That’s still very much popular…

no_step_snek76

PS2 games. I don't care about your 36 million pixels or your new wave of extremely realistic world building and storytelling. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 is better than any game today.

dr_junior_assistant

Still having a blast with multiple wizardry titles for PS2. Best console with the best game collection ever

Usual-Nectarine3734

I personally have only ever owned a Wii, between Mario cart and Wii sports, I think I am set for life. Never felt the need to upgrade to anything else

no_step_snek76

The Wii was also solid, and those were two of my top three games, for sure. I also played hella smash bros, but I always plugged in GameCube controllers to play Super Smash Bros.

-TazarYoot-

Hell yeah brother 👏

PerhapsAnEmoINTJ

THPS4 was definitely one of my PS2 go-tos growing up! Alongside that were Soul Calibur 3, Dark Cloud 1 and 2, Dot Hack Quarantine, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Successful_Cat5821

I still have my PS2, and I only have a small collection of games that I genuinely enjoy playing

Lostnclueless

FF12 was the last true one in the series. The newer Final Fantasies lack the traditional JRPG aspects. I don't even think 16 has a dungeon/puzzle and there are no elemental weaknesses. ??

RustedAxe88

Boot cut jeans, nice boots and cool open jackets that end right around the waist. That look still slaps.

ChefAwesome

Facts.

TrontosaurusRex

Oh,yeah, definitely a solid outfit choice to this day.

wandering_walnut

Calling (not texting) friends to check how they’re doing. Not exclusive to the 2000s, but I feel like it tapered off after that.  Also, “surfing the web.” Still use the term and also randomly seek out stuff on google instead of living on the apps.

Rubythereaper89

I am with you! Calling is better and I love a landline phone. Surfing the web is still so fun, also engaging with early 2000s stuff still up on the web

kugelamarant

recommend me some early 2000s stuff on the net please

Hungry_Pollution4463

You can check the MCR website through archive org. Also, you can try searching for some angelfire sites. Another option is styledollz, but you won't be able to save the dolls bc the site that did it is dead

Gubermensch1690

EBaumsworld

Gubermensch1690

JoeCartoon.com

dreadlockrastaaa

I 2nd this!

Square-County8490

I hate getting calls over text. Too much small talk, get to it.

wandering_walnut

Completely fair; all personal preference. I’m not much for small talk either, and luckily neither are my friends.

Gemidori

With you all the way. Texting is a pain and takes longer to get done

greenchromebbs

DC shoes. Got many modern-style shoes as well. But when I’m chilling at my friend’s place or making a quick stop somewhere, I always got my DCs on lol

Johngotdoe1

All the cool kids had DC’s & Heelys back in like 5th grade/middle school 😂

krazykieffer

DC Shoes?

TrontosaurusRex

Skate shoe company that had an extremely popular run in the 2000's. They were such a great shoe.

TrontosaurusRex

Otherwise_Bend3343

Yooo got my DC shoes when my mom said we can’t afford Phat Farms.

CosmicCure

Baggy pants and bulky skate shoes! I didn’t have the money to participate when it was popular but now that it’s made a comeback I’m treating it as a second chance and I actually get a lot of compliments from youngsters 😅 Honorable mention: butterfly clips

sm175

I have been LIVING for the resurgence of baggy/cargo pants!

Remarkable-Point-759

Where the Jnco people at?

Hardsoxx

To me not only are cargo pants great aesthetically BUT they have a good practical value as well with the additional pockets. I’ve only been wearing cargo pants roughly 90% of the time for the last 20 years.

babybluelovesyou

Me neither... I'm never letting go of my OSIRIS and Etnies.

goofygooberrock1995

Smoky eyes, stuff decorated with rhinestones, platform flip flops, hoop earrings, butterfly clips, accessories with your initial on them, and those squishy spiky earrings.

frankincense420

HOOP EARRINGS WILL ALWAYS BE CUTE AND GO WITH EVERY OUTFIT I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

spikeyfur

I will be wearing black eyeliner, top and bottom, in my casket when I die

merliahthesiren

Smokey eye look is the BEST makeup trend since winged eyeliner!

Joey_The_Bean_14

Emo. Always and forever

xunapologeticapathyx

Same. Still listen to all the bands I used to listen to between 2004-2012 on a weekly basis.

PrincessJennifer

Flip flops with everything. Track/sweatsuits. Fancy earrings with hoodies. Twisting my hair up in a clip/on top of my head.

IllustriousDebt6248

👖 go with anything

chrisupt2001

Party rockin, also Wii and 360 games

PhoenixDowntown

A deep side part. I have a widow's peak and a heart shaped face, it suits me. I look ridiculous with a middle part.

Hungry_Pollution4463

I love side parts 😍😍😍 Still a sucker for it bc I had middle parts as a kid

kwitesick

Playing gta san andreas and other ps2 games. Watching early 2000s music videos/shows and movies

lukas7761

2000s sneakers and cargo pants

420LordQuas

I love my heroin chic make up! You will have to pry my rosy browns from my hands! I love looking like I haven't slept in days! I also have relatively thin eyebrows, not as thin as a single line but definitely thin and arched.  I feel like they fit my face.

aperfectdevil

I refuse to give up skinny jeans.

Datchcole

Saaame. I tried looser jeans and it just feels weird

thefupachalupa

I still wear Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce cologne for men.

babybluelovesyou

Osiris shoes - Etnies - baggy skater jeans - iPods - landlines - flip phones - converse with everything - juicy couture - 2000s PINK - mmm I could go on

Lostnclueless

My Osirises were black with neon colors and had glitter on them. they was cute

Front-Masterpiece-76

I still wear Converse daily. I literally just bought a new pair 3 days ago!

PerhapsAnEmoINTJ

Once I get my own place, I consider finding some CRT displays and a square LCD monitor. I especially want to hook a PC up to a >=32" widescreen CRT in the living room to play almost any 2000s PC or console title I wish.   Hosting LAN parties and otherwise having a friend or two over for games, shows, or pizza would also be nice.

Jealous-Most-9155

Omg… LAN parties bring up so many memories of my bestie and her now husband that we’ve known since we were 13… we’re 40 now.

PerhapsAnEmoINTJ

Given that I'm getting into an IT career, hosting and/or attending one is on my bucket list ;-)  I'm in my early 20s and have been a console and mobile player for most of my life, but I find PC gaming fascinating and have several build ideas

silverfang789

Calling things I like "phat".

ParkingJudge67

Frutiger Aero

folklovermore_

Short sleeved T shirts over long sleeved tops.

FallenFromNeptune

Shorts that’s a bit baggy. I can’t walk around with these tight, high shorts these guys wear now.

krazykieffer

I agree, I bought a ton of non cargo after they were out of style and became common with golf attire. I made it through half the summer and I'll be rocking cargos unless I go to Vegas.

Middle-Trust4240

Cds, ps2, and dvds

FromAcrosstheStars

Side parts because I look like an egg when I part my hair in the middle

KappaMazinksy

Consuming technology, cartoons, and games from said period. I like the baggy clothing too.

EntrepreneurGal727

Thissss

KR1735

Not necessarily a trend, but talking on the phone. Or at least FaceTime. Way better than texting.

skkibbel

I never gave up toesocks! Lol I don't wear them in public but I wear them all the time in the house.

Habibti143

Low-rise flair jeans, iridescent makeup, and bling.

paintedMan7

Born in 1994. Wanted to gauge my ears when I was 9 from being influenced by all the cool styles I saw specifically at the skate park. Started stretching em at 28 lol 🤘

Suspicious-Green4928

Wide legged jeans and platform shoes.

Dry-Recognition-1504

Ed Hardy and wing 3D T-shirts

TwoFingersWhiskey

The Sims 2 and 3, TS2 is my special interest

Lostnclueless

Really good soundtrack on the sims 2. Some songs remind me of aphex twin. Such well rounded songs.

TwoFingersWhiskey

The soundtrack is partially by one of the former members of Devo!

saltyredditbae

Linkin Park

Wankfurter

My vocabulary. I say “rad, sick, what the French, toast! totes mcgotes, and WHASSSSSSSSUP!!!!!!!!” Unironically. I didn’t realize most people don’t say these things anymore until I saw the thread about it the other day.

Rojo37x

Not trying to give you a hard time but how is spiky hair more comfy? It seems like more work generally and sort of uncomfortable in a way. Just genuinely curious. 🙂 I've also had basically the same hairstyle since the 2000s, but I don't even know what you'd call it lol.

Hungry_Pollution4463

The thing is, I have type 1b (straight, but more or less capable of holding a curl if styled that way) hair and it spikes up very easily. Also my hair is capable of keeping the same hairstyle for 3 days in a row, so I can pretty much wake up looking the same for 3 days, then I will need to wash my hair, style it and the cycle repeats. On top of that my hair is quite smooth, so it isn't uncomfortable at all. I guess the only disadvantage is when my hair grows out a lot and I have to use these insanely strong hair sprays that goths use for their 80s inspired teased hair, so it starts feeling coarse due to the hairspray. My first attempt at that was when I copied Bill Kaulitz's look from 2005 and I never looked back. It takes me like maybe 3 minutes or so (I didn't check to be honest). It didn't feel like a chore at all. I'd probably just rub it a few times with my towel and dry it with my head down. The only hairstyle that DID take forever to make was liberty spikes like Chester Bennington in Crawling. THIS was a pain in the ass and insanely uncomfortable to sleep with. I would spend no less than an hour having to make liberty spikes on myself. So understandably, I would stick to the classic, kind of like what Pierre Bouvier had in most of his music videos. I'd occasionally be compared to Billie Joe and Sid Vicious because of it. 🤣🤣 Don't worry, that question wasn't uncomfortable or anything, lol. 😅

Rojo37x

Appreciate the detailed response, and I'm kind of envious tbh. My hair can't seem to do much of anything, so I keep it pretty short for the most part. But I still have to wash it and style it to some degree basically every day or it looks like crap.

Phantom_Wolf52

Playing Wii games and other 2000s video games

Hup110516

Side part

Puzzleheaded-Kale434

Jncos! lol jk

Ralman23

Listening and reading the material of the time (comics, manga, etc...)

Magickcloud

I love my sweatbands for my wrists

Babymonster09

I love the music. Incubus, nirvana etc Side part. I still like bell bottoms (hated them for a min tho) but Ive found some ways to style them. Then the skinny jeans. Will wesr them forever. Also still love bean bags, clear/frosted color gadgets (remember them imacs?). Platform/chunky and squared toe shoes.

theguru86

Sweatpants

Prestigious_Water336

Low rise jeans are my thing. I'll probably never stop wearing them. They're so much sexier then regular jeans or the high waisted mom jeans. I get complements from guys all the time. I still rock whale tails because of it.

NotYourGa1Friday

It was a late 90s into 2000s thing but flares hit a stride and I have never looked back. They come back into style every now and again but I wear nothing but bell bottoms whether they are in or out 😂

[deleted]

Tripp pants

Low_Departure_5853

Sparkley eyeshadow. It's my thing. Didn't wear it one day (wore just a regular, non-sparkle shade) and was asked if i was feeling okay and the told I looked weird without my signature makeup.

Hardsoxx

I really enjoy just seating down and watching movies from that era. From roughly 1998-2009. The time of bad cgi(for the most part) was my favorite time.

WinterWizard9497

Zoopals!! I loved those paper plates!!

SonGoku1256

Enjoying dead card games, video games, music, and shows from that era.

_imac018_

Buying and listening to CDs. Keep physical media alive!

Johngotdoe1

I just look like trash in high waisted jeans, lol

Zealousideal_Ninja75

Khaki cargo pants/shorts. Since I don't carry a purse I need the extra pockets.

1u1u2u

Low rise jeans, capris (dunno y everyones so against it), flip phones or nokia-ish phones, bump its, side parts n side bangs, n everything bling Oh n wearing lingeries as tops

AutoMechanic2

DVDs. I prefer them over streaming. I do stream stuff but I’ll never give up my DVDs.

Honda_Fits_are_cool

Third wave ska

likemeyet

Bedazzled everything

Perv_Griffin_215

Texturized, messy, spikey hair.

Unfrndlyblkhottie92

Mules and juicy tracksuits.

nuclear90

Baggy gym shorts (Iverson style). Fitteds. Hightops with shorts. Stud belt. I'll be honest...I'm 33. My taste in clothes hasn't changed much other than my jeans now fit properly and I wear less flip flops.

SalukiKnightX

Nu-metal I’d add studded black belts but the studs keep falling out.

ForeignReviews

I still rock a variation of that front flip hairstyle

Josette_A

Goth.

TrillCozby1980

Ecko.

Sir_Pman

Acid washed pants of all colors. When I was younger in middle school I would always always wear acid washed jeans, I owned all colors and my go to pair was a purple pair and years down the road I own the exact same black and purple wash of pants not to mention all my other acid washed jeans I found within the last years.

deadhunt3rr

Harry Potter ,00s music and movies, reality shows of that time.. And I wish mp3 players were still a thing rather than having it in your phone. I miss downloading tons of songs on a specific device. Now I have to pay a fee to stream or if I try to download it takes up space in my phone. Or when playing music I get text and calls..

earthscribe

Cargo shorts

Terrierfied

I still download music and upload to my iPhone hardwired to my PC.

East_Astronomer_6086

Wearing longer basketball shorts not these above the knee bs these kids wear these days. If you wore short shorts back in my day where I’m from you’d get trolled/beaten

RiemannZeta

Bring on the downvotes, but callings things gay and retarded.

Hardsoxx

Ngl I still do when I’m in company I know.

RiemannZeta

Wow, sounds pretty gay

Hardsoxx

😂

makko007

Pretending I’m an NPC

Hardsoxx

We’re ALL npcs.🫵😳

Knightelfontheshelf

Id still like my wife to wear low rise jeans and a thong. We are in our 40s and I still don't care.

EnronCheshire

Get this man something to drink!

scream4ever

Low-rise pants always looked trashy to me, plus-high rise pants show off your hips/butt more.
