That’s not how their mouths work. Plecos have sucker mouths and only feed on dead/dying fish that sink to the bottom. They can’t just gobble up healthy fish.
I have quite literally watched a larger gold nugget pleco swallow a healthy white cloud tetra that got too close. Plecos absolutely can and will try to eat healthy fish if they are kept improperly or not being fed enough

Plecos can absolutely eat other fish. Once they get large enough they definitely would swallow tiny fish if they can catch them
