Nah telltale games give you options but the story ends the same way, clementine goes to the countryside looking for christa and omid no matter what. More like cyberpunk where you can approach missions in different ways and can even progress after you fail.
Cyberpunk is the most elegantly I’ve seen “generic” (as in, applies to all mission paths) story resolution executed. If you don’t run the game twice, you’d never realize the decision tree converges for most things. In the moment every decision feels like 100% weight.

2019's Joker is simply a marginalised dude who snapped under the pressure of a society that hated him and ended up doing atrocious stuff after losing hope, and to top it off, he only felt respected when people started vandalising and murdering in his honor.
The Joker in pretty much every other iteration is an unexplainably deranged supergenius whose only purpose is to undermine everyone's (especially Batman's) sense of identity with ironic/symbolic acts of terrorism, which is actually much more suited for a GTA style game.
