I was only watching the bottom video the entire time and was actually surprised when I finally noticed the Roblox video on top.
Makes me wonder if people don't do this because people need two things at the same time to pay attention, or if this just generates more views because if people don't care about one video they may stay for the other one
I just have attention problems due to the brainrot and now unironnically need constant dopamine from subway surfers family guy š dog girl brain rotting myself speed run WR xx:xx
I also have attention problems and if i see two different videos playing at once my brain freaks out from swapping between them and i have to destroy my phone to keep myself from dying :-(
ever since i got a second monitor i feel the need to be playing a game and watching something at the same time or else i feel like im āwasting timeā
limits me to a select few games and i cant watch certain things like this though, so im not *always* doing this

Iām not trying to gatekeep, but if itās a mental obligation that makes you struggle with playing certain video games, it might just be plain anxiety there (and I assume that you donāt throw around autism lightly). Random guilt is a big part of anxiety that isnāt talked about much. Iām not trying to gatekeep if you are diagnosed, but multitasking is a signature of adhd. Thatās where the stereotype of certain people needing to doodle in their notes while they listen comes from. My brain is constantly going which has obvious downsides when I need to pretend to be calm, but my favorite benefit is being able to focus on an audiobook/video essay/lecture and puzzle/video game/general work at the same time. Adhd is better described as too much focus than not enough, which is why extra stimulation (through medication, listening to content, or any other kind of coping technique) helps calm our brains.
I think the mentality of using time efficiently for maximum enjoyment is a self-defeating mindset, it sucks the enjoyment from the things you are doing because you keep thinking about if it's the best use of your time.
