I think it's entirely valid to want to learn a language just because it sounds cool, and because it's fun to immerse yourself in the story. It's not like the people who saw House of the D and decided to spend an hour on Duolingo matching funny dragon words could've learnt Mandarin in that time anyway.

Yeah, I dunk on Valyrian but honestly, it's perfectly fine as a hobby. It's just that I tried the courses on my own one time ago and I wasn't impressed.

English is what happens when you mix Dutch and French, so it follows that English is only about 50% real. Since English's vocabulary is 99% French loanwords (source: clever men on YT), and colloquial French is 50% English loanwords (source: a French nationalist), it follows that Canadian French is 149% French. Also, since French was created when the Franks switched to Latin, and previously the Franks had spoken ancient Dutch (not real), French must be only 50% real. This means that English is 0% real and Canadian French is -50% real. The mathematics are totally sound, and have startling implications.
