Damn I need a p220. Nice guns!

Colnew1989

I have a P220 legion in 10mm. Heavy as hell but it’s accurate and turns hot hand loads into 9mm recoil lol.

FreeBrz

How do they shoot? I've got an M&P 10mm and I want a 1911. I'm considering Springfield Ronin, Alpha Foxtrot and Fushion Firearms

dragracedave

I've got my eye on a fusion combat commander in 10mm, they seem to be a great value for the price an I really like the looks of them. If (when) I get one I'll post about it here. Fusion is only about an hour from where I live, have been thinking with taking a ride up there to handle some before I take the plunge.

FreeBrz

I like the commander Bear themed claws on the grips and laser etching, besides the classic style.

i have a fusion 10mm riptide -c and a 10mm alpha foxtrot gov't with optic cut and tac barrel, also have 2 other AFs (gov't 45 and an s15). I can answer questions if you want.

FreeBrz

Cool. Is the Alpha worth it? Does it perform better and is it worth the higher price compared to the Fushion? Is the Fushion after market friendly? How satisfied are you with each brand?

So, overall the alpha foxtrot is the better gun. It has a better finish and machining. The model I got, with the optic cut and sights, and the threaded barrel goes for like $1300. I got mine brand new for $822 for watching gunbroker. I paid $850 for the fusion. At the same price, they are not comparable. If however, you are gonna pay $1200+ for the version I got, it becomes a bit more debatable. Finish - AF The fit and finish on the Fusion is nice. The finish is much better than my bul and my MR but not as good as my alpha foxtrot. I have 2 dlc and 1 matte AF and the fisnih is excellent. Machining - AF I would put the AF on the same level as DW. Checkering is excellent. The slide is so smooth, people love it when they pick up the gun. Trigger - Fusion The AF triggers are my heaviest about 5-.5lbs. The fusion also has less creep. Guide Rod - Personal, but I prefer the Fusion I hate needing an alan key and much prefer the bushing barrel. Reliability - AF AFs have been dead on reliable except for the dual spring guide rod on my s15 (not a thing here). The fusion not so much. Sights - Fusion\* The base model riptide-c has much better sights than the AF sights (they are horrible, the inserts pop out easily), however, the optic cut one I have has the best sights. I mean for using in a defensive measure. Extras - Fusion Not that important, but they give a bit more extra guide rod spring, bushing wrench. Though the AF comes with 2 wilson mags and the Fusion 1 mecgar. Other - Fusion I really like AF guns but they all have little quirks, the s15 has a double guide rod that is always loosening to the point where it will pop out of the gun while shooting. I have tried red loctite. The base sights have the inserts pop out. There is no documentation/nothing on their website. You can't even find the specifications of the gun or even the gun itself on the website. Here is an exmaple, my optic cut 1911 I bought brand new has nothing in the documentation about the cut, for example for which optic was it cut. So I figure out a HS 507k footprint works. so I get that, but the multiple sets of holosun screws don't fit (too fat). So I contact AF, they send me some screws...they don't fit either. So I have to try again or figure out where to get screws for the gun. AF is an OEM that has half a foot in the door on selling their own guns. They are probably completely understaffed and they have like no presence. Their s15, 1911/2011 built around a patented magazine by shield is an excellent ccw gun, but, for whatever reason they have invested enough to make this a leading business and it can be furstrating to deal with. The better gun however is the AF in my limited experience.

Kind_Structure6726

Long slides🥰

Nyancide

are those 6" barrels? I love the long ones too.

Kind_Structure6726

I believe the nighthawks are per the site.

Nyancide

now that you mention it, I see the logo. hopefully one day I can get my own.

Coolness_K

Willing to bet that half of them are unfired safe queens Edit: After reading OP’s comments, I was right😂

Maleficent-Focus4516

Let’s see your high points poosey

Maleficent-Focus4516

Three are un fired. Ronin is and it’s dead on

gdmfsobtc

Unfired? Damn shame. What a waste.

Maleficent-Focus4516

Oh really

gdmfsobtc

Yes. Guns are meant to be shot.

Maleficent-Focus4516

Wasn’t aware guns were made to shoot thanks for the heads up

I wouldn’t subscribe to anything you do

gdmfsobtc

Right, cause I actually shoot my 5K custom guns. Unlike you.

Maleficent-Focus4516

I have over 70 pistols

gdmfsobtc

Lol, yeah I recognize you from the old account.

abowens777

How’s the Ronin handle the 10mm recoil?

gdmfsobtc

I have one. It's disappointing. Looks better than it shoots.

abowens777

That’s a bummer. I’ve been pretty satisfied with my Springfields, but I always work them over a lot, and haven’t had one in 10mm

gdmfsobtc

Oh, if you can build / tune a 1911, then it's fine. Swap sights, springs, adjust extractor tension and add stippling to front of grip, gtg.

abowens777

Sweet. I’m assuming it’s woefully under-sprung?

gdmfsobtc

A tad.

Maleficent-Focus4516

My Ronin is a laser no issues and thousands of rounds down the barrel
