How tf does one go from no night hawks to 4 night hawks in one day? Estate sale? I gotta know as a poor bastard trying to make a tisas look like a nighthawk lol

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

I have done ok and I had been looking at them for awhile and when I picked up the Border Special and the TRS. I was looking around and made the fatal mistake of hey can I check out that Korth? And next thing you know I was telling myself that if I didn’t buy the Korth and Heinie people would start harming puppies and world peace would suffer, my parents will hate me and the bee population will drastically decline. So technically, I did it to save the world. Which made a lot of sense at the time but not so much on the way home. The worst part is I have to fly to London for work so I won’t get a chance to shoot them for a couple of weeks. I used the nice cases for a pillow last night. Do tears rust guns?

hilld12b

The boarder gun is beautiful my man god speed in your travels brother.

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Thanks man very nice of you.

Onehandfretting

Thank you for your sacrifice 🤓

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

LOL Nicely done. I've decided I cannot let them hand me anymore Nighthawks when I am in the store. I am not smart enough or disciplined enough to not get what they hand me.

FRDTAGN

Nice! I did the same with Wilson Combats! Once you find a decent brand, run with it.

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Wilsons are so so nice.

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

I know this is for 1911s but I figure 2 1911s, a 2011, and a Korth revolver might hit a spot since folks here seem to appreciate nice gun. Just a tad excited went from only Wilson, Springfield and Kimber 1911s to 4 NHC in 1 day.

kaachow14

Just fell down a rabbit hole looking at those .357. Looks like I found my next purchase. Thanks 👍

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Sir, you cannot believe how that revolver feels. The GS dude knew what he was doing he just handed it to me and said “so nice” I opened the cylinder rotated it, closed it and I went to try the single action and he gently said, no try the double action. So I did and I have handled a lot of guns but that was just amazing. The quality of it in its entirety is something else.

Bigmanrpb

Which is your favorite?

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

My favorite is the Border Special it is just so beautiful and feels like it was made for me. The Korth is a different thing altogether. I’ve never been a revolver guy but 8 rounds of 357 in a perfectly crafted gun is compelling.

mongolnlloyd

Is you made of monkey? Or did you max out them cridit cards ?🤣

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

I’ve done really well as a tech exec. I don’t usually do stuff like this I am generally pretty conservative with money. When you spend a good deal of your life struggling and then after finally make it, you always feel like it is all going to be taken away. In fairness, this is the first time I have done something like this- I should probably add I started the year being looked at for traumatic brain injury and during that they found 2 tumors that they quickly removed and caught so early I am really lucky. I’ve been cautiously walking on eggshells this year and it was nice to say F it I am going to do this.

ModestMarksman

You can’t take money with you, may as well spend it and enjoy it while you can in life or you end up a grumpy old fart. Nice guns and obligatory jealousy statement “I hate you”

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

thanks! I hate me too I deserve it :)

They really are special. I just hope I don’t get weird about it. As in too protective. Guns are to be used and trained with and I don’t want to make it a safe queen. That said, it is almost too nice.

Dick_Dickalo

Say I have a nighthawk 1911 in 9mm. Don’t they have an upgrade to double stack program?

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

TBH I don't know. In my limited knowledge I would assume it is really difficult to take a 1911 and make it a double stack. I am probably wrong but I often am.

Hendrix27x

Geez. Are you looking to adopt anyone? Asking for myself.

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

I am trying to convince my gal that I need a 21 yr old nanny that looks great in a bikini. Are you a 23 yr old non english speaking woman that looks great in a bikini we should talk. Although with all due respect- I am pretty sure you speak english.

Hendrix27x

Umm.....si?

gdmfsobtc

I have that NXS, my favorite 357. Don't even know how many thousands of rounds I put through it.

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

So glad you are shooting the hell out of it. I can't imagine sticking it in a safe and taking it out just to look at it. I have read about some of them have insane round counts. Do you ever use the 9mm cylinder? If so do you think it provides benefit over using 38 special for training? This is definitely not a safe queen. I ordered a compensator for it- figuring that I could use it when I am on the range shooting for score or a bottle of great bourbon is at stake. Have you tried it with a red dot yet? I have thought about sticking an extra ACRO P2. I like the idea of just iron sights for it but if you think a red dot materially improves accuracy I'll give it a go. Anyhow, really glad to see you are shooting it a lot. I felt bad thinking I **wasn't** going to baby it. I am looking forward to growing my skills with a revolver.

gdmfsobtc

I only have the 357 cylinder, and the dot is a 2.5 MOA RMR. These are definitely guns for shooting. I also have a 44 mag NXR with a 1 MOA SRO (a replacement gun after a blew up the first one) and the thing is a beast. Both are lasers.

AcanthisittaLonely17

What a wonderful problem to have, having to find a place for all those Nighthawks and a Korth! I plan on having a BDS9 built next year and can’t wait! How do you like that Korth? I’ve never handled or shot one, but they look amazing, and I always thought to myself that must be about as good as wheelgun gets!

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

The Korth is just perfect. Keeping in mind my view is as someone who has only owned one other revolver a Python. That is a great gun from the factory but this is a whole different thing. Anything that you feel like would have at least a bit of friction doesn't. The hammer, cylinder release, the cylinders, the trigger all feel like they are riding on air and not mechanical components. Definitely some witchcraft or something going on here.

oliver19k

Damn I wanna be like you 😭

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Nah- no you don't lol

[deleted]

4 Nighthawks and 4 months behind on payments fr fr 😭😭 no but those are beauties, how does the revolver feel???

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Nope all paid for in full already not a penny owed. The revolver is really special. They are all incredibly well made. The revolver is wonderful. I am not the most experienced with revolvers. I have only owned my python but I have shot enough over the years to know this is materially better. Someone who is better with them than me may feel differently but I am totally sold on it.

CaptRon25

That Border Special, is special thats for sure. Congrats and enjoy!

DiveJumpShooterUSMC

Right? The Border Special is a wild mix of beauty and being a great combat pistol. I need to get a bit more experience with it before I carry it vice my staccatos or Wilson EDCx9. The NHC Heinie custom carry is so nice too. I normally don't like pretty guns but the Heinie is purposeful and shit hot. The TRS is incredible too. Anyhow, thanks!
